I have a 2002 Harley Fatboy and bought Viking Vale Extra Large saddlebags. Found out after going through all the trouble of installing the turn signal relocation kit that they still wont fit unless I somehow relocate the turn signals at least 2 inches further back. If I move the bags forward, I wont be able to open the seat. I cant move them down because the because the pipes are in the way. Thanks for the video. This is definitely the easiest way to fix the problem. I put in the make and model but maybe the dimensions of the older fatboy is different. Viking never asked for the year. Thanks again
Good install brother, and Momma Badger will be a lot safer with the new one, I have those little bullet turn signals on my SPS bike, and they really aren't safe
Great video! Unfortunately, here in PA, the inspection law & cops require rear turn signals to be a license plate width apart minimum. The rear turn signals you removed were custom and hug the bike much closer than OEM signals. QUESTION: Would the turn signals you removed have allowed the new bags to be mounted without moving the turn signal - and allowed the bag to open and close without a problem? If so, can you tell me who makes the custom rear signals that your removed? Thanks for your reply.
Yes I would like to get some advice from someone besides my self i have a 07 Harley Davidson Fatboy im in the process of relocating the front turn signals also the new signals are LED im mounting them from Handelbars to forks and the stock turnsignals have 3 wire on the front a vilet black and blue on the rear stock turnsignals are 2 also all 4 of the new signals are only 2 wire so on the front signals with the 3 wire what is the blue wire for and does it have to be hooked up and so could you explain to me what i need to do with this wire thank you for reading and hopefully i can get this resolved thanks again
Got this light because of this vid, everything was super easy and works except one thing maybe you can answer… turn signals work, but the yellow lights are always on. Red and yellow always on, yellows blink for turning. Tried unplugging main red and white wires but they stay on still. Any idea?
@@TheBadgers no they didn’t. Read that I may possibly need a load resistor? Not sure, just thought I’d ask you to see if you’ve run into this at all. 2003 Fatboy btw.
Did you have to install an LED flasher relay? I installed a similar tail light on my bike and I get hyper flash after 4 flashes and when I apply the brake both turn signal lights come on solid with the brake light.
No offense brother but for me I would want l e d lites on the old ones also. Someone's always about to run over me. I like ya new lite but between cell phones and just plain idiot driving people can't see squat. I need 3 new lites on my 2001 fatboy because apparently they can't see me on a white bike. White shirt an light colored pants and im 6' 5" 250. So I went to tractor supply an got the brite yellow florescent color shirt an now I look like a jurassic park escapee. Good deal buddy.
Wow, it's so easy to install the brand-new tail light and you explain the detail very well!
Thanks it is pretty easy install

Looks much brighter than the stock one. Safe is a good thing.
It is brighter for sure
Looks much better on the bike. The blinkers are orange too which means they can be used over here.
We like it much better
Looks good, Sonny

That looks way better than the stock light.

I think I've seen them in the drag specialtys book?
Do you use the turn signal wire to plug into the taillight or do you just plug the turn signal wire from the taillight an plug it in like you did ?
just like I did plug the wire from the taillight in directly in to the system

Wow it may be defective none of the ones I have do that. The old turn signals didn't stay on?
