I havent had the hiccups for more than 10 mins since I figured it out, its a spasm of the stomach, take in so much air it physically hurts a little. now push your stomach out with your diaphragm(still holding that air) hold it till they stop takes about 30 seconds to a minute. This works by freezing the spasm in place, it relaxes and hiccups are gone.

They can't buy stuff from your shops and you can't buy stuff from theirs... Except for one thing. It could just be something that gives you Strength 2 idk But in the hunter's shop they can buy: Iron pickaxe for very cheap (No more needing to craft a wooden pickaxe for the 50th time!) Full iron armor (sold separately obviously) Diamond Chestplate and swords Food Blocks *Totems of undying* You know. Normal stuff. Just enough stuff to give them enough hope to fight back. Oh and maybe they could have a secret thing they can buy if they solve a game that gives them the ability to buy a VERY EXPENSIVE knockback 10 Slimeball with Fire Aspect! And then they can KB you off the end! --Little do they know you get a sword with Looting so ender pearls are going to be easy to get BUT HEY it's something--
