    Hello people, thanks for checking out my long-awaited battle report! I'm really proud of the entire Gamma Wolves journey that is now completed with the help of my friends Justin, Jason, and Alireza. I would once again like to thank Ash Barker ( ua-cam.com/users/GuerrillaMiniatureGames ) for writing a great miniatures-agnostic game. I encourage you all to go check out his channel, because Gamma Wolves is just one of the handful of tabletop games he's written, and there is also a wealth of content from other popular games. I'm hoping he'll get to watch this eventually, so here's a pre-empitive, "Hello Mr. Barker, we should roll dice sometime!"
    As I said near the end, I'm aware of some minor issues with the production, but I didn't think they were bad enough to warrant re-doing the game and delaying the release any longer (none of my videos have ended up being flawless anyways, lol). I'm looking forward to exploring some topics other than using Gunpla for Gamma Wolves in my remaining videos this year, but that doesn't mean I'm moving on from the game. I have all these vibrant protagonists and antagonists on the shelf after all, so I'm definitely going to have them face off on the battlefeild again, or maybe even create a 3rd team!

      Good report man. I like Gamma wolves mostly speedy system.
      A bit of advice I'd give is to set up a camera looking straight down on the dice tray. Sometimes we make mistakes but viewers usually catch them when they see the dice. Some reports put a mini window on the screen of the dice tray

      Glad you liked it! I thought of doing that, but would have had to buy more equipment that I can't afford unfortunately. Also I wasn't concerned with showing off every single roll due to the general nature of the batrep being streamlined to be shorter, rather than showing every single detail, etc.

    Just ran into your channel from the gundam painting videos, ended up on this one. Never really was much about watching miniature painting channels or battle reports from tabletop games that I never played, but this was really fun. But since I got started with building Gunplas, now this is in my interests, I guess! Hope you get to play more and make more battle reports.
    Now I'm thinking about how I could make my own gunplas into a battle team....

    A little feedback on your batrep format: I really like the 'talking head' summaries breaking up the in-game footage. They help regain focus, and set the scene for the next block of footage, not unlike a sports commentary for those coming into the match after a commercial break.

    This was the first battle report i've ever watched. Really i was looking forward to see how gamma wolf played and how the models held up to all the handling. I wish the battle description were a bit more descriptive to help build narrative tension. But that's probably a flaw with most table top war games.

    • @MMMayhem
      @MMMayhem  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for checking it out. Most battle reports cover every detail like that, and I find they're a bit long for my tastes, so I wanted to try something different; plus it was a good excuse to plug the author's channel again! My favourite BatReps lately have been the Conquest ones from Play on Tabletop.

    I'm thinking of making a Gunpla tabletop rule set. I would like to include vehicles, ground troops, artillery, and air. Would be dope, got to balance it to make the Gundams sufficient in power but not to op. It all comes down to balance.

    You know...with losing limbs a possibility in this game, could future teams take that into account in the build process? I know gluing is part of the process, but it sure would add to the cool factor.
    Also, I've never seen a battle report or had any interest in it. This was a fun watch though.

    • @MMMayhem
      @MMMayhem  Рік тому +1

      Yeah, that's definitely a possibility either with the way it's built or with magnets. I was mostly focused on the brushwork for these projects; I've magnetized Warjacks for the game Warmachine before though. Now that you've seen mine, you can compare it to whichever one you end up watching next. Thanks for the super chat BTW!

    If your going to add something in the rule book. I think it would be cool to lock some MSs' to a certain faction like GMs for the Feds, and Zakus for Zeon. Barbatos being art of Tekkadan. If you wanted to use a machine from a different faction. You can change the color and add some insignia to show it

    Your videos are getting me interested in Gamma Wolves (Other than Heroclix, I dont have any other experience with Tabletop games at all.)
    Im more interested in the customization aspect. so a few questions:
    1 - Are we allowed to officially play customs like what you make?
    2 - are there fixed scale requirements for the figures or is it anything goes?

    • @MMMayhem
      @MMMayhem  19 днів тому

      No fixed scale, just general suggestions. It's a model-agnostic game that encourages you to play with whatever you like, simply providing a framework to make rules for your custom models

    • @MMMayhem
      @MMMayhem  Рік тому +1

      I haven't made any lights yet, I go by the rough size of model. 1/100 and typically big enough to be a heavy, 1/144 for mediums, depends on the model though (a HG ball could possibly be a light, for example)
