I bought a used one. I'plugged red to positive and black to negative and got 602 on the control panel. I looked it up and it said my battery was hooked up backwards. I reversed the clips and it worked??? Could my solar panel be hooked up backwards?
The more I learn about Zamp, the more gimmicky it sounds. Great video, I just wish Zamp would install a Grid tie into the connector for the RVs it's installed in because on the AC system it will assist it if that were there.
Question: I have 2 lithium batteries of 105ah and a 3000watt inverter and I’m deciding in purchase the Zamp portable solar which one do you think will work better the 140 or 180 watt for off grid like 4/5 days ? Thanks
Sounds easy! Thanks for a good informative video. I’m thinking of buying this exact product. Can you give us a ball park figure on how much it costs? And, do you use it just to keep your batteries charged? I’m hoping I can use my coffee brewer without powering up my portable generator! Thanks...
Robert Flores Hi! The Zamp Portables come in 5 sizes. You can see them and the prices on our website at backcountrysolar.com. Yes they charge your batteries during the day when the sun is out. Thanks for your questions.
Does that charge controller protect the battery from getting too low as well or just keep battery from overcharging? In other words, if use in the RV exceeds what your battery should be, does the charge controller alert the user somehow?
Very clear instructions. Thank you!!!!! Short and to the point.
This is so helpful, better than the official website video. Thank you so much

You just answered my big questions. I just got a new Zamp and not knowing anything about how they work your video was perfect
very straight forward intro to solar set up. Thanks
Great info, thanks!
Can you run a sample solar suitcase at the same time as your roof solar panels for extra quick battery charging?
I ment to type Zamp solar suitcase.

Don't use a extension line unless you have to. Shorter the lead wire the less line loss.
