A dream come true. Having been a kid when Sir Bobby arrived and enjoying supporting one of the best sides in the world, no exaggeration, I never dared imagine it could happen again in my life time. We are even playing the same open, attacking quality football that Portman Road is proud of. Most importantly, our ethics and integrity is back, just like we had with the Cobbold family. The last three years have been incredible and I have no doubt it will just keep getting better. Proud to be a Blue, COYB!!!
Ipswich Town wont get relegated. And anybody that thinks so has probably only seen lowlights on a heavily biased MOTD. Watch a couple of full games and you will realise they are in a false position atm. They'll comfortably finish 14th-15th and kick on next season into the top 10. Best young coach in the country and the best C.E.O in the world right now.
Agreed was always going to take a little while to adjust but have got results in more games than not and out of bottom 3. The next Brighton maybe even Villa for sure. Have the fan base as well.
Best ceo in the world 🤣🤣🤣 Mate guarantees in football aren’t given and false positions are a fallacy. Playing well and losing is part of football. Football isn’t 1 + 1 = 2
I think we stand a good chance of staying up but realistically we are in a battle to stay up. Things can change quickly, we could lose this weekend and Delap and Leif get injured and then we will all be thinking we are doomed for the drop.
As an Ipswich fan, hand on heart it wouldn't even bother me if we went back to the championship. The Premier league is great for the money it brings in and the extra exposure the club gets but with regards to the actual action on the pitch, the Championship is far more entertaining for clubs like ours. The Premier league has just become a tourist league
why settle for mediocrity, it won’t be the same as last season winning every week, relegation season- no mckenna- worse away days- less noise- less money for the fans/ transfers/ stadium
Went to the same high school as Mark and I remember him. A couple of years older than me. I remember him at West Brom as well. He worked behind the scenes in the Community or PR office, something like that, if I remember rightly. He's made a great career for himself in football and I'm pleased to see the success he and Ipswich Town are having. Like Simon, and many others, I grew up watching Ipswich in that Brazil, Gates, Mariner, Cooper, Butcher era, playing against our Regis, Cunningham, Batson, Cantello, then Barnes, Owen etc. Glad to see Ipswich doing so well. Proper football club doing things the right way. Well done The Tractor Boys.
He comes across very well. I think if Ipswich do go down, they will get a big fee on just Liam Delap, young english strikers who actually score goals are gold dust.
As an Ipswich fan, if we stay up I think we will get an even bigger fee for him. If he continues anywhere near the level for the rest of the season all sorts of clubs will be coming in for him.
Simon looked slightly uncomfortable when the Marcus Evans ownership era at ITFC was brought up. Big 'elephant in the room' and kudos to Mark Ashton for not going into any detail into how badly the club was run (into the ground) under M Evans. The current set-up with Ashton, McKenna and the USA financial backers looks (fingers crossed) very promising for the next few years.
Indeed, and the fanbase had been agitating for a young up and coming manager like McKenna for a while; it's something that's worked for us in the past. Sadly, when Marcus did listen and tried it, he got... Paul Hurst. Not really up and coming.
Great show guys enjoyed that! Simon always been spot on bout us. Championship is nice and fun but premier league is place to be! Hope we can stay up so we don’t have sell our best assets. Up the TOWEN
Whatever happens this season, up or down, we have a CEO who has absolutely nailed his job over the past 3 years. If we stay up and keep hold of K McK, well it could be the late 70's/early 80's again. Where's your statue Kieran?
If McKenna pulls another miracle out of the hat and keeps Ipswich up he'll be off to a big club in the summer, that's a near certainty, loyalty in football died many years ago.
@@hannecatton2179 - No he won't, Ipswich are the first step in his career, had united offered him the job in the summer he would've have gone then in a heartbeat, at least the club will get good compensation as he extended his contract soon after (funnily enough). If you want loyalty, buy a Dog .
As a Town fan, I think we will go down. I thought 19th pre-season, and I'll stick with that. However, we are playing some decent stuff, heads haven't dropped, and we're actually 5pts better off than where my predictions would have taken us. I think we're all proud of the teams efforts so far. Unfortunately though It's the three promoted sides that will go.

You joker.. they'll definitely be relegated

Town fan here also and I quite agree with you about the Championship, much more fun.
you’re not an ipswich fan
Don't be silly! We will be playing in Europe in a few years. Hold on to your hat!

You were unlucky against us at the GTech). Played us off the park in first half. Would love to see you stay up

Mark’s done a incredible job
Love Ipswich! It will be good for England and football if they can stay up this season! Proper good historic football club!!
We will stay up , of that I´m sure. With our owners , C.E.O. , manager and staff and fans we will stay.
Other teams feel the same way about their individual clubs
Sir Lordship Jordanite = Top LAD Proper Clobber 💯 Facts
Back where we belong. Sir Alf, Sir Bobby, Sir Kieran 🚜💙
Ipswich has more history than Man City!
Virtually every club does😂
I’m not even a City fan, but this is ridiculous. One league title, an F.A and uefa cup vs 10 league titles, 7 F.A cups and a Champions league.
Put down the crack pipe 🤡
@@DP-wo7rz they’ve won pretty much all that in the last 10 odd years tho since they got all the dollar. Before that absolute tinpot
And Chelsea

The problem with Ipswich is they didn't beat Bayern Munich away 30 years ago. Failure of a club.
We have super kieran mckenna Ipswich Town fc blue army 💙 thank you Mr Ashton 💙
Bristol City Legend
Both Simon and Mark, know what they are talking about.

Wrong , he will see out his contract.

Mark is a top man. I love the way he supports the youth of managers and players , and is aware, Rome wasn't built in a day 💙🤍❤ C.O.Y.B
