Jensen has said this was the season finale and this next episode is the series finale.
That’s honestly the perfect way to describe it and I’m glad that the final episode was just a standard hunting trip with the two brothers and then ended with them all together again in heaven. ❤️

The whole snapping thing was around before Infinity War/Endgame. It just never had such a weight attached to it until this season.
Also, pretty sure Michael from that other world did that stupid hand stuff before he schemed with Lucifer to come to the main world.
Remember, the Infinity War/Endgame snap thing was from the actual Infinity Gauntlet/War comic from the early 90s.
I hate poeple still bitching about the snap. Marvel fans cant shut up that it was first in the movie blablabla..

Michael was with them until lucifer showed up and he learned that his father had basically made him the new favorite child, which brought back his old self. Jack absorbing energy seemed to kind of flux with his emotional state. It started small with plants, which have a lot less energy than humans. Then it got big with the angels and then with chuck.
You're right. Now that I think about it he did start off super small with smaller plant before going on to bigger plants and so on. Maybe the power he sucked up from smaller entities boosted his power in general as well as his power to suck up energy from larger entities until he was strong enough to handle God-level energy.

Got a feeling both Sam and Deans end is coming in the final episode. Sam and dean in the new reformed heaven, stops in front of a bar where all their friends and family are waiting for them. Sam says they’re waiting for us...
Dean looks out the car window, smirks, turns on the radio. Then says something like One more drive for old times sake? Sam agrees, carry on starts up, the impala wheels kicks up dirt

You called it right Aaron, in an interview Jared and Jensen said that 15e19 is the season finale and 15e20 is the SERIES finale and things are wrapped up. It will be a 2 hr episode I think 1 hr of the wrap up and 1 hr with taking to former cast members and bloopers and scenes
So this was the season finale, next episode is supposed to be the series finale. But apparently it's 2 hours split into two. One part epilogue, one part interview with the cast and crew on the 15 years

2 thinks I want to point out:
1 - They had to changed the ending because of Covid's restriction in Vancouver. From what I gathered the changed was that they had planned to get as much old/past cast members as possible for the finale but couldn't because of the new rules.
2 - Misha himself confirmed that the ending we saw (grabbed by the empty) was his last scene in the show. I can't confirmed it but I don't think he flew back when production for the last 2 episodes started. It is possible tho that we see him in flashback as that would be reused footage.
Bonus : Jensen Ackles now has the impala from the show in his garage in Texas. They offered him the one they always drove in the show. Jared was offered the other impala but I don't know if he accepted it.

I hope Jack transforms all the monsters into humans to make the world a safer place--and also so that the good monsters can go to heaven instead of the awful purgatory.
I don't think that's happening since it seems the next episode is back to it's roots...monster of the week. one of the showrunners basically said it's an old school episode kind of hinting it might not feature angels or demons, just a monster.
@@DCFCfanatic Oh, yeah, I'm like 95% sure Jack's not gonna do anything like that (especially since he wants to be "hands off"). I just wish it would happen. Tbh I'm tired of the MOTW because we had enough of those this season, but whatevs. I hope at some point I'll be able to read some good quality fanfiction (the non-sexual kind) about alternative endings or continuations of Supernatural.

the most logical thing is that chuck made it look like they won. jack didn't really absorb his power or amara. he just was just turned into a god by chuck. chuck is still the ultimate god
2 hour series finale, the first hour would probably either be cast & crew interviews or CW's going to re air the pilot episode.
First hour is cast and crew thanking the fans and sharing their favorite memories. Second hour is not the pilot episode but it's like an old school episode of the boys hunting things.

The Showrunners and Cast pretty much confirmed that this penultimate episode ended all the lore-heavy stuff The Show`s accumulated over the years and the series finale will go back to The Show`s "Monster of the week" roots one last time and bring back characters we haven`t seen for a while. Which characters those will be are unconfirmed.
Yes, this was the season finale. Next week is the series finale. I think they did a great job crafting this episode around all the road blocks and regulations caused by the pandemic. More tears to come. I'm not ready for this to be over 😪
Yes. This was the end of the season. The last episode is the end of the show. Just the two brothers having one last case - back to the good old days.
Next episode will be the series finale, so the official end to the story of Supernatural, and boy oh boy am I severely unprepared haha. Jack becoming the new God was a fairly common fan theory so it was nice to see it pan out in this season finale, and I'm glad Jack gets to live on in his own celestial way. Chuck's ending seems appropriate too, and I liked Eric's line of "God made man in his image, now we make him in ours". It's been a wild 15 years, and I anticipate how the story ends this week, gonna be shedding hella tears.
My dog just died a half an hour from unknown causes so the dog scene really hurts. I was waiting for the reaction so thank for cheering me up just the same.
People would remember Chuck for supernatural the ones he wrote and still could write more lol. Look at how long it took for them to find out he was writing the books before lol. Especially after next episode he can write all the books he wants don't have to worry about them no more lol

@Not Yet You can ask anyone you cannot reap God unless he looses his powers anyone stupid enough to try to go up against something that powerful will always fail....but luckly Death can do it now since Chuck is a wimpy mortal lol.....in a way you can look at it in many differant ways but death is not stupid he knows what would happen had he went after Chuck all Juiced up on (God power) lol

That's what I though, it doesn't matter that they took away God's powers, if he knows everything, he is still a great threat to keep in mind. I mean, the boys have no powers at all and look at what they did with just sheer force of will and knowledge.
Lucifer used the angel shot against alternate Michael, Michael did it back , I think asmodeus used one against Gabriel
They have used the energy blasts from angels before.. they used it when Lucifer fought Michael, in the alternate world.. Azmodaeus shot an energy ball at Gabriel in the bunker.. I’m sure there are a few more times, but I can’t think of them off the top of my head.. but it does seem to happen more between archangels

But more seriously God Jack's during his speech felt more like "God" than Chuck ever was ( I mean even Amara was more "Good" than her brother). I'm not religious so I could be totally wrong but I think there's 2 depiction of God, which they both represent a part. Chuck was God's Wrath (pre-Jesus, with the flood and divide punishment) while Jack is God's love (post-Jesus/modern version, "love your neighbor" etc).
Actually, in Supernatural, the Antichrist is a half human, half demon. Like that kid in season... 5? Jack is a Heffalump.
@@Barnuses Yeah that was I think season 4 because the apocalypse had not happened yet. Some could argue that Jack is the real Antichrist as he's the son of Lucifer and the kid was not but that kid's whole story was around the fact that HE was the Antichrist.
Note : Not sure if it was because of auto-correct but Jack is a Nephilim (half human, half angel). From what I could find (because I wanted to double check in case it was a other term for it or not) Heffalump is supposedly a purple elephant in Winnie the Pooh.

In regards to the angel blast it feels like the show got a budget increase sometime in the last couple seasons due to the increased amount of CGI recently. But alas it's still on the CW so they are still super limited on what they can do/show. And the budgetary constraints have always been my biggest issue with the show. But alas this 15 year journey we've been on is about to end in a few days and I'm still trying to process that. Whatever happens Thursday I just hope they end it on a high note.
The blasting was there before, Asmodeus shot a blast at Gabriel and AU Michael shot one at Lucifer. As well witches have been blasting for a while.
What if god was one of us?
AU Michael and Lucifer actually fought using those same blasts when everyone was escaping apocalypse world, and Michael used them on Jack when he was possessing Rowena too. I kind of feel like the fight in this episode did a disservice to season 5 though. I mean AU Michael fighting Lucifer was one thing, but these two fighting was supposed to torch half the planet lol. Those blasts were pretty weak (as in, didn't cause much damage to anything) and it was basically just Lucifer dodges attacks -> Michael gets hit/falls because he didn't even try to move -> Michael teleports behind Lucifer and stabs him. Am I being too critical? I don't know.
Anyway, nice reaction as always. Mine was...very different. It felt way too rushed and the writing was just bad, way too many plot holes. Michael and God were both far too easy to lie to/trick -- even regular angels can sense when they're being lied to. Also a bit weird that Sam and Dean saw Jack absorb the power from Lucifer but Michael didn't notice when he was standing right by him and angels can see/sense things humans can't. God supposedly hears and sees all (at least within his creation), and I'd expect that to be amplified with Amara inside of him but somehow couldn't see Jack absorbing power (even though he saw Dean find Miracle lol). I have a lot of other gripes with the writing here but ignoring all of that, it just felt anticlimactic esp with God having Amara inside him. Still looking forward to the series finale though.
I read the Miracle scene a bit different. I didn't take it as God seeing that Dean found Miracle and swooping in afterward so much as God purposely putting Miracle in the Winchester's path at the moment when they we most downtrodden and waited to see them find, name and get attached to the dog (as he knew would happen since he created them) and then he took Miracle away just to watch them suffer out of spite and pettiness. I don't think Miracle was left behind by accident. I do agree with you on your take on the episode though. It was rushed and lackluster and overall fell flat but it was a Bucklemming episode so I didn't have high hopes anyways. I'm glad Blindwave enjoyed it though
Yep I agree. All they needed to do was a few throw away lines at the end about how Amara was secretly helping them the whole time, like shielding their thoughts, or influencing Chuck's actions to smooth out the plot hole cringe.

My older brother has a theory that this whole show is a book that Chuck is writing and we see him writing said book and he finishes writing it and then smiles down to earth and the caption says January 24th 1979 (Dean's birthday) and then the screen fades to black

@@purplesmurf_23 Your theory is actually the meta finale a lot of people have stated. That we find out this entire show wasn't real and was nothing more than Carver Edlund writing a story. But the way the episode ends, it still makes us wonder if it was all real or not.
@@jsgeheid yeah but there's a theory that at the end of the series finale chuck or carver edlund is still god writing a book about the events that took place during the show and it shows us that he finished writing the book the day Dean was born and he's watching Dean being born. So yeah there's no technology like that in the 70s and 80s but if they end it where chuck is still God and he's writing a book about these events he of course knows that, that stuff will be invented later on in the years

I wish (if it would have been possible) that they would have brought back all arch angels, presumably they all were in the empty, and team up to kill Chuck. It would have been a fitting end to the on going storyline of him being gone and the angles fighting/not knowing what to do. That would also be a redemption for Lucifer, him realising that Chuck was manipulating everyone and may lay their problems to bed. Would have been less fulfilling in that there would still be evil and the angeles would have their own agenda, but also the bonus of a possible epic team up fight moment, which I think kinda lacked in that episode. I mean it is the ending of the series and the big bad guy. Would have been awesome to see a big moment with more significant characters (and also I miss Gabriel, so that would be solved).

I think Cas is coming back as human. Dean will save him from the Empty. A parallel to Cas pulling him out of Hell.
Did Chuck suddenly lost every shred of omniscience ? Like seriously Sam, Dean and jack were the only people left in the entire multiverse, so how come he didn't notice them planning to trick him by using a fake spell and lure him by lying to Michael ? Is this the same Chuck that was aware of everything going on including jack and billie plan to kill him. This ending feels rushed they should have waited to film after the lockdown was over.
the conclusion itself was fine to me
but damn...so freakin rushed....soo many plotholes(seriously what happened to chuck seeing and knowing everything from the previous episode)....such a lame "fight" between Lucifer and Michael(this was the fight that was supposed to burn the planet)

Sometimes the script writes itself. So was Chuck in his beginning a nephilim in his beginning and acquired God status and exercised the darkness out of himself in order to be unimpeded in his desire of absolute control. This is why death knew he could wreep god as far as his body goes. Sam and dean are the avengers of a rogue god and replace god with another. Through all the spells and trials they go through are the determination of replacing said god and through the angel tablets create such a duo to juice them up to with stand the power of a rogue god. After all the time even demons were giving sam and dean alot of respect and admiration from the likes of crowley, them not knowing why so much, just because of their track record and something bigger was coming. In the end they defeat the most powerful being, they for sure could defeat the king of hell or any other demon. Chuck being so over confident in his eons of absolute power gave him the false sense of invincibility. So now that Jack is the new all powerful one, like the reapers that were replaced as the the main ones were killed, has the option to at some point expel either the darkness or the light in the cage only to repeat the character of sam and dean in the future to go through the same trial's sam and dean did to offset the power instability of a rogue god man. As jack walks away he is pure power in it's natural state. As their is peace and freedom to reign. Restoring all chuck was destroying.

Chuck/GOD is the essence of Light/Creation/Life itself. NOBODY can become GOD and... Jack is NOT God or Pure HE is an abomination a evil and ugly being.

One world left and he can decide to destroy it and create his own world and then, becomes the creator and then your point of view in that scenario would be just as valid. As with Chuck, Jack would be consumed with his own ego and suffer the fate as Chuck. Being the most powerful being and then another nephilim would take jacks place and the story continues. On and on.

I was thoroughly disappointed in this episode. Despite having some good moments, it was obviously rushed/cut and that uneven nature/rhythm really affected the quality and the climax for me...and Dean not even asking Jack about Cas? (Doesn't matter if Jack would or wouldn't have resurrected him). Even the montage, which should have sparked an emotional tide in me didn't hit me like I would have expected it. I really hope this week's finale makes up for what this episode didn't do.

@@kenjohns1982 the episode had great potential because of the great characters and battles between all powerful deities but you can’t deny that it would have been much more satisfying if it had all come together in a less rushed/grander way. That’s typically the pace for bucklemming tho probably mixed w corona/end of season limitations. Some aspects were just super disappointing imo but a lot of people enjoyed the brothers ending which is understandable

I have zero issues with people who enjoyed it but, for me, it was obviously rushed and though there were some fantastic moments, it didn't come together like I wanted it to. Doesn't ruin anything for me (particularly since I think many of the issues were somewhat out of their control). No matter how it ends (whether I'm elated, disappointed, or some other undefinable emotion) I"m always gonna love Supernatural.

Loved Everything in This episode but what they did with Lucifer and Michael smh But whatever no more Chuck now "Oh My Jack" Has a good ring to it👍 and Sam and Dean mf Winchester Epic Win and that Montage of Memory's at the end Onion Ninjas 😢 Carry on Blind Wave one more 2 hour episode than that's it ⚡

I mean, it makes sense to me just because Jack syphoned Chuck's powers which means he also took in Amara, and we've been told multiple times that you can't have an imbalance in the world. So this leaves the world in balance and leaves the series finale open to just focusing on the boys again. 🤷🏻♀️
