Cosmopolitan Frankfurt - nicknamed "Bankfurt" - is a trading hub of a united Europe, home to the European Central Bank, and a center for global commerce. Though it may be low on Old World charm, it offers a great look at no-nonsense, modern Germany.

I love the contrast of the high-rises amidst the original historical structures.
Frankfurt is def. worth a visit during summer
keep your shows coming Rick I have been to Germany in the summers of 2015 and 2016 but I have not yet been to a major city I will watch your Germany videos the next time I go.
i am from Frankfurt and Frankfurt is the most beautiful city in the world.
And you ! :p
FFM = Refugees heaven
I am sure you didn't see Montreal
The best thing about Frankfurt are the museums, especially the Städel, the Schirn, and Goethe's birthplace. The city has also played an important role in German history: the Kaiser was elected in Frankfurt, and Germany's first democratic constitution was written here.
sorry aber die museen sind verglichen mit Berlin und München nicht gerade beeindruckend
Frankfurt, my home for 11 years.
Plenty there. All kinds, from different countries.
Beautiful video about Frankfurt Germany
You forgot Sachsenhausen and Bornheim. My favorite districts in Frankfurt!
Beautiful lady from germany, how are you??

Frankfurt has a lot to offer besides the bank district. There is the Römer/Old Town area(part of it is currently being reconstructed and finished in 2018). The Promenades with cafes along the river is beautiful, especially in the summer. Plus not forget the old Applewine Taverns in the old town of Sachsenhausen and Bornheim

Since he was in Frankfurt, I hope Rick also visited the Paulskirche, site of the first ever German national parliament in 1848!
I can see glass and metal boxes anywhere. Its the cute little towns that interest me.
I love these videos
Obviously, Berlin is the most important city in Germany, but I had no idea that Frankfurt was this big. I thought it was just a nondescript town in Germany.
It would have been the capitol of Germany, if the revolution of 1848 didn't fail.
Peter Parker
Compared to cities like New York, Paris or London Frankfurt is a dwarf. Just 700.000 inhabitants, less the one tenth of the above mentioned big cities.
But due to the federal structure of Germany it hosts the major hub for air traffic and the most important hub for long haul trains.
It's the financial capital of Germany and a major base for law firms.
And Frankfurt is the biggest internet hub in the world, sitting like a spider beetween North America, Asia and Africa.
why he is not posting new videos? i think i watch all of his videos and love it, so i want to watch something i haven't watch it yet LOOOL
There should be a video like this on Rotterdam as well. They have quite a few things in common.
I agree. Though Amsterdam may get the tourists, Rotterdam gets the business.
I think Amsterdam's overrated anyway. It looks pretty, but there isn't a whole lot else going for it.
Anne Frank Museum, canals, "coffee shops", Vondelpark, bike lanes, a 20 minute train ride to a farm village
Bet Rick popped into the Eros centers once they finished up this vid
I'm from Germany Germany is fantastic 💪💪 I live in Munich
I am from Delhi, India and lived in Berlin for few years. Loved it.
Barcelona Spain 🇪🇸 ♥️ ❤️
Bankfurt / Mainhattan! For the record, the UK got the lion's share of the Marshall Plan aid (2.7 billion versus Germany's 1.7), but Germany knows how to use the $$$ best 😁
How many banks in Germany
Thank you sir...I am planning to persue my MBA from any university of Germany, especially from Frankfurt.
I have been following you since a long time....I like your Videos.
Now tell me how to give thousands of like in one click :)
Hi sir, which city you suggest for work and living at affordable money, frankfurt or berlin?
Frankfurt, definitely.
Frankfurt was a medieval city that looks like Prague with lots of heritage before the US soldiers bombed Frankfurt in WWII. Now it's filled with trashy modern skyscrapers. :'(
A O So sad to hear this :`(
I completely disagree. It makes the city all the more beautiful to see the combination of old and new. I think it's one of the more beautiful cities of Europe.
The RAF destroyed Frankfurt, not the Americans.
@@GrijzePilion Yeah good on you RAF! Mind going after Prague next?
Is Rick Canadian?
No, he's American. But not by much.
That moment when you realise the franks were german and germany is frankish.
Germany 🇩🇪 🇩🇪 🇩🇪 🇩🇪 🇩🇪

Was here last year the place was a dump. Homeless everywhere, graffiti, and men peeing on sidewalks. Refugees in the subway asking me for money.
Rick I do not understand your taste in architecture. I've seen you trash communist era buildings left and right but those eyesores you defend?
put everything in context. an old "country" as germany with medieval towns destroyed but re-builted has a unique city wich didnt want to back to the old times, instead go for a "cutting edge" modern loking. that makes frankfurt special to germany environment and europe also
You think these are eyesores and commie blocks aren't?
GrijzePilion Communist buildings can be eyesores but they can also be stunning examples of modernist architecture! The same can be said about skyscrapers. These skyscrapers don't really have anything going for them though. It's just odd to me that Rick will go out of his way at every given opportunity to trash communism (not saying its not deserved). It comes off to me as if he has an axe to grind on the matter, and maybe he does. I just don't think he's being fair and this video illustrates his bias very well.
Not that any of this matters. It's just art and opinions.
Exactly, it's just opinions. I think they add a lot, and I think most of them look good both by themselves and as part of the bigger picture.
I hate communist buildings they are so ugly ewwww
