Man, this is one of the most enjoyable videos for learning Arabic I've watched in a while. I really appreciate the casual (realistic) rhythm and style -- it's the opposite of lots of content I find that is basically just reading a script. I have a couple podcasts in Levantine dialect that I listen to which are basically just conversations, but they're usual a little too far above my comprehension level to enjoy too much. This is perfect though! I like that you find simple ways to say some things in different ways to help with understanding more intermediate words. Thanks for this!
I understood the main points of the story and picked up on the meaning of vocab I haven’t heard before. But having subtitles in Arabic would be helpful to see how these words are written. So then I can note down new vocab accurately.
This is great. Thankyou! I have been watching shows on netflix with the subtitles on in english. It really helps when the dialogue is fast ( yours is not too fast in these videos)
English speaker here: I am trying to work on distinguishing my Arabic consonants (well, and vowels). I found it helpful to repeat after you! look I couldn't understand the story, but the 3's (reyens) 8's (achks), and K's (*coff*s) really came across to me this time.
This is an excellent video. I've been viewing so many different videos teaching Arabic, but this stands out from them all, Jazzak'Allah'Khair. Please kindly continue posting these types of videos. It's helping me get used to hearing the various words in Arabic.
This immersion method is used if you can go to the country where the language is spoken, most language schools teach in the target language. Good job keep it up!
حبت كتير ! شكرا ! قصة بسيطة بس كل شي واضح. Some words and verbs new to me but through your mimic and through the right speed you choosed everything went in the right place in my brain. BRAVO!!!👍😉
Oh, this is so helpful and important! I'm still a beginner but it was really motivating to be able to pick out words and phrases that I already know, and I can keep coming back as I improve to see how much more I understand
Great video, I'm a real beginner but you actually taught me words by only speaking arabic and i could follow the video partially, but I'm glad because this video shows me where I'm at and what more i could learn
Best of the best vídeos!! It makes me feel that I am indeed improving my learning!!! Many thanks and In Sha Allah i will take a full course at Yalla!!!❤
Eveb though you made up the story , i basically فهمتك كلشي انك قايل , هنه هدول قصص مساعدين مهينين و واضحين كتير كمان I need to focus on my Arabic listening 👂 🎧 skills so that if im real in a real life situation i an speak fluently
thank youuuu so muuuuch! I really enjoy this new kind of video, it is so important to get used to the listening. Yes please, could you please think about the transcript for the next listening videos? :-) In arabic/english (transliteration no needed as I consider it as a very bad habit to learn ^^ ) . Greetings from Brussels - Belgium !
فهمت كل شي تقريبا. Thank you and please do more. I have a small suggestion. Discuss some words especially nouns before the video. Not necessarily all the words, but it will help beginner people to understand more.
Muchas gracias!! El concepto es el correcto, sin duda. Hace 23 años que enseño español así y creo que es lo más correcto. Me acabo de suscribir a tu canal.
At 5:12, what does "maa isto" mean, and how would you write it in arabic? I'm not sure I've seen that verb before, though from context I assume it means "try on"
MarHaba! I guess I would be considered a "late beginner". I've studied MSA irregularly for over a decade and recently finished two units (or 60 lessons; 1,800 minutes) of Levantine Arabic with Pimsleur. I understood many things in fragments from your story and I'm pretty sure I understood the overall gist but would you be able to share with us, in English, what you said so we can check our comprehension? Shukran jazeelan. This was really helpful.
Really enjoyed it, perfect pace and the pics really helped I was so worried the whole time that you wouldn’t get the white shirt tho 😂 was able to relax when you said you made it up
I just started an Arabic 101 class at a college. These videos where I can listen to the sound and speech are very helpful to me. This presentation was very good for understanding the flow of the speech. I recognized about 10 words from rhe whole thing!😅 I have an idea. Can you do one where you tell a story that we already know. Like some common children's story or tale, and tell us what the story will be, but speak the whole story in Arabic? Then we have an idea of what you are talking about but still only hearing Arabic. Shukran!
Lol when I first watched the video a few months back I felt like I only understood 10 words too haha! After rewatching it right now, I understood the whole thing. It'll be really rewarding after you continue practicing and return to this video and you get what it's saying
This is great, I've seen this done for other languages like you said so thank you for creating the first Levantine one! Possible to add English CCs so we can check our mistakes? Please and thank you 😊
Gracias. Creo que seria util agrégar algunas palabras llave en sobreimpresion (en ingles y arabe) porque ayudaria en la comprension rapida y en la pronuncia. Saludos de Italia
I like the visuals but could you put words like (story) in Arabic. Or words we don’t use daily. I appreciate your speed of conversation it is very helpful distinguishing each word. Thank you
Could you please enable or add the subtitles to this video. I kinda see where you coming from with “just listen approach”, but in fact if we want to repeat after you or learn some parts of your stories and actually gain the new words, we need to somehow see the script and the translation to it. Or at least enable subtitles please 🙏 I think it’s a made up concern that people will switch on subtitles and will loose their portion of the experience as a consequence. If they don’t need the subtitles, they will not switch them on. Instead, if u add the subs u could really help pre-intermediate students.
This is meant for students who already have an advanced level and want to practise listening without relying on the visual too much. For beginner students there are other videos on the channel with subtitles or words laid out on the screen.
I thought my vocabulary was limited but reasonable. Now I know it's rubbish!! Hal inta min Lubnan? Albi ya albi wain inta ya albi? Ana Inglisie lakin albi fee Lubnan Sorry Nancy Ajram,.

I like a lot this way!! Just a little suggestion: upload or put at the end the dialogue, so is we dont know some words, we can look up! ;)
Please continue to make more comprehensible input videos. It's awesome. Thank you so much.
This is the best listening practice! Please do more. You are mumtaaz!

Thank you so much. I am at the point where I need to hear the language!!! it pushes things along, so glad I found you.

This is perfect for me. I’m a little more advanced in this, but I love how you make sure we’re understanding the content Shokran.

Great video, I'm a real beginner but you actually taught me words by only speaking arabic and i could follow the video partially, but I'm glad because this video shows me where I'm at and what more i could learn

That was actually amazing

ما قستو
I think this word comes from ( قياس)
In this accent, they pronounce ق (qaf) like that ء
Here it means he didn't (try it on )

I know you want to make people listen, but without subtitules, this video becomes inaccesible to low level students :(
This is meant for students who already have an advanced level and want to practise listening without relying on the visual too much. For beginner students there are other videos on the channel with subtitles or words laid out on the screen.
