I love how, no matter your decisions in the 4th episode, you are forced to accept and forgive your deadbeat mom that doesn't even regret leaving you behind. What a game...
@@koboDresdenI get what you’re trying to say, I really do, but the point of OP was to criticize the game’s fault of not letting the player’s choice matter at all. The game has a narrative and it’s dead set in sticking to that narrative completely ignoring the player’s decision, which is ironic given the nature of the game.
In my mind everything was pushing the narrative to say the mom is gay and wanted to live her truth. The overly controlling and religious grandparents, their hesitancy to talk about her or even have photos of her. The little note you find in her old bedroom... and then they fucking chickened out in favor of this garbage heap. Could have been cool to have some depth besides "Oh I'm just a free spirit. That's why i abandoned you"
I can't believe that talking about basic hygiene was more fun than a whole ass video game. Not gonna lie though, these streams have helped me fall asleep more than anything.
honestly ive moved beyond watching on my second monitor while playing something, the game's at the point where im watching the stream WHILE watching something else
The moral quandary Joe attempts to describe at 5:28:00 is very similar to Ursula K. Le Guin’s short story “The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas”, which describes a science fictional city which is perfect in every way except for a curse: to maintain the perfectness of Omelas, a child must be constantly, unceasingly tortured. I believe her point with “…Omelas” is to show us that humanity cannot live on strict utilitarian morality alone, and that even in this situation where the greater good is served by the misery of the child, there is still an injustice (which gives rise to the titular “ones who walk away” - they recognize the injustice and decide it is better to live in a morally grey world than one purely morally white with a speck of black). There is not an answer to this but I think Le Guin would likely find it justified for someone to defend themselves from going to prison when they were innocent, even if they were forced to commit murder.
"why would you not make your bed it takes literally 10 seconds" is bold coming from the man who pisses in showers to save 10 seconds lmao (although it's still a fair question to ask)
Old horror movies too. Some of them the undead moves even without a head. This headshot thing got popularized way later. Think about even Adams family where one character is just a hand.
Honestly, been brushing my teeth once per day for more than 20 years now and my teeth are still in peak condition. I'll see if I'll feel spicy and try brushing twice per day maybe some time in the future depending on the circumstances.
I think brushing twice a day is just Joe generalising, naturally there's more factors, like what you eat, if you have good genetics when it comes to your gums etc etc, I'm sure only brushing once works for lots of people.
Kinda depends on how old you are. Are you 50 and have been brushing only once a day for 20 years? Or are you 20? There's a lot younger bodies can get away with that bite you in the ass when you're older
the entire game I feel 0 emotions and so bored to death watching through the entirety of these streams, atleast when the game is playing. but the second chloe/max mentions pop up I light up , max was a surprisingly good character
I find it crazy how people shit on the first game and simultaneously act like they sorely miss Max and Chloe after playing the second game. Life is Strange has to be the most divisive videogame franchise I've ever come across online. Confusing fandom, so much hate and so much love.
@@TaxFraudTutorials With the knowledge of how much worse it can get, Max and Chloe get postmortem props for actually having legit chemistry. In any other franchise, they'd be of little note, but for LiS? They're as important as Link and Zelda.
When I played LiS2, I hated it, and it definitely didn't help that I felt like I got a shit ending where Sean makes it to Mexico and is slightly iffy about it while the kid has a fun time in the states, though IMO is probably the true ending whereas this is definitely vibing as not the good end. Overall, just made me hate the kid most. But overall, I think episode 1 is ok, 2 and 3 were real stinkers (I think 2 definitely killed the game for me and I finished it only because I paid for it so might as well), and then 4 was ok, and 5 was perfectly acceptable. It's 2 and 3 that just really irked my enjoyment that I just didn't give a crap about it.
@@TheArchivistArchive Why yall hating on my man like that? Aren't you guys supposed to be fans of Joseph? The dude that makes 5+ hour long critical analysis of games? I quite enjoy reading these types of comments, although timestamps would be better, but there's no need to jump on him and call him weird

Joes little “uh oooh” every time something was about to happen is my favorite thing in the world
4:40:12 he called it
40:10 Resident Evil series does this tho. One headshot isn’t enough to kill an infected. (unless it’s a shotgun or a sniper rifle)
That's why it's one of my favorite pieces of zombie media

Any time you eat em breads or sugars you should brush your teeth. Other foods you can prolly wait longer. So ig it does depend on diet too
