The worst part is, because of the loops, no one will ever remember this. Because Sif is the one who forgot, not the others.
“ -I once ran away from home, but for a little while, just to spook my parents, I waited a bit and then I- huh, running away from home, what a weird thing to do.”
That’s probably how he ended up avoiding his country’s fate…
Wasn't my takeaway from this, but maybe.
I thought it was like he could talk about this story as long as he didn't think about it, but as soon as they tried thinking about it...
@@JonnySpec its definitely what you just said, but it could also be how siffrin left his island just as whatever happened to it happened. the king mentioned also having woken up by the shore when he lost his memories. i wonder what happened to the island, i assume a wish was granted like also what happened to the colors too. wonder if the island just disappeared, everyone died, or something more fancy, like the island and its people are still there but the island is separated by the outside world and they cant remember each other or something like that, since the island is still at north according to siffrin at the end of the game
@@Fannintendociccio1I really really hope we find out what happened to the island… cuz remembering the bits of dialogue referencing the island and it’s inhabitants, it’s safe it say it’s definitely still here in the world of In Stars and Time since some can still remember it existing, and even remember people from there if they didn’t think about it hard enough
At this point, it’s almost like it just became invisible to the world… whoever, or whatever caused it to disappear so suddenly from everyone’s minds, I dearly hope we get that answer.
Hearing this line of dialogue too… I just realized the island must’ve been gone from the world for much longer than expected. Sif was just a kid, and the king must’ve been quite young himself as well… we know Boulanger was probably from there knowing Sid’s silver coin backstory, but… how many people even managed to flee the place? Did some knew it was going to happen and already booked it as fast as they could? Or like in Sif and King’s case, they merely fled at a convenient time…. This makes me wonder if an explosion happened where a bright light was so strong, it pushed everybody back like a big wave, causing them to end up where they are now
….man I love this game
@@Tree_The_Artist we got some more info from the author, mainly how what caused the island to do that was because of a wish. anything else adrienne said it's up to us to decide, besides some other stuiff like the island being based on guadalupe. and yeah anything could have happen, they could be perfectly fine or all dead for all we know. i tend to prefer the former since it seems more fitting to the game's implications, especially since adrienne was down to the idea suggest in a q&a of now that the king will continuously remember the islan's name, everyone will may be able to fight off the redaction effect of the island and start to remember it again and maybe even go there
@@Fannintendociccio1The island never vanished, it was just forgotten. In the Q&A adrienne said that it's been there the whole time. So I think that all people on there are also fine. For all we know Sif could have left the island while the wish was already in effect. It could mean that you forget the island when you leave it. And maybe the reverse is also true - people from the island could have forgotten the rest of the world and also forget everybody who leaves it.
If you re engage with the letter act 3 or 4 , you get
"(why do i have a sinking feeling in my stomach?)"
Probably was gonna return the second the country disappeared…
The fact that Sif perfectly recalls it was a childish reason makes me wonder if they were even younger than Bonnie when the island was forgotten, oof
woah I played for 50 hours and I've never seen this convo :O the detail in this game is crazy!
One shows up if you enter the secret storeroom in act 2. Enter act 3 and Sif will have already forgot.
Running away from home.....
Such a weird thing to do!
Bless you for posting this I needed to reference this conversation for a fic but I didn't have any good saves for it! This is super helpful! :3
I FOUND THIS ROOM IN ACT 4 I DIDNT SEE THIS
*_HAHA UH OH_*
I've played through this game four times and I'm still finding stuff that I haven't seen
siffrin need those word puzzle games seriously
I see you there playing peak
I'm curious if Sif boated out at the exact moment the memory erasing wish took effect and was just outside enough at the time, or if the wish was already in effect and by boating away from the island he went outside the range of the wish and suddenly forgot when he reached a certain distance.
I think its more likely the island was forgotten just as we has out of the island, because then why would his family have a boat if they couldnt use it, or why, if the wish was already in place, the villagers wouldnt know the max area they could approach before being forgotten
I wonder how the King escaped…
Does Siffrin actually dissociate??? Or does he just ... Black out?? Genuine question
The retcons seem to just remove their "infringing" thought entirely. In one of the suspicious events, Isa stops himself from describing a book and the rest hear him make a weird mouth noise.
When Sif recalls his parents in a snack break, it also just removes that thought and they have no idea why that brought up feelings at all
NYOHOHOHOHO THIS IS FUN >:3
