i actually reallly love the tactic of popping your lightning aura amp when theres a diver on your backline and then just. not paying attention to them after that and shooting down main still. lighting aura tickles them every so often for the added pressure and whoever they are diving has a sudden damage advantage while you can keep your focus on farming that crazy ult from hitting a bunch of people at once

She just has an usual role because her kit contradicts itself. The speed of her projectiles, the penetration, and aura make her good right between tank and healers or behind some cover close by. If you try to utilize her flight the penetration is wasted due to angles and her bullets take 5-10 business days to arrive.
Hela and hawkeye arent even on my ban list. I'd rather do 1. Luna Snow 2. Hulk and 3. Star-Lord . I never get killed by hela or hawkeye bc I play the environment and they never even get a chance to shoot me.
I don't think anyone is bad in marvel rivals. It's just that Ironman has more valuable and can secure kills more often than her so she's not that popular. We'll see if that will change when Human Torch comes out since she has a team up ability with her.
From what I saw the team-up they have just turns her ult into an fiery tornado which really doesn't seem like it'd do much for her. Her ult is the one part of her kit that doesn't really need any help, so having a team-up where that's the only getting boosted feels kinda redundant. That said, if Storm gets both Thor AND Human Torch on the team then she might be pretty cracked since she's getting two team-up benefits.
In comparison to the efficiency of the other Heroes, yes she is effectively the worst in the cast. That does not mean she's not playable,you just have to work a lot harder to survive and secure your kills until she can Boost or Ult.
Watching this makes me realize how wrong I'm playing storm. When I play her, I play up in the air and at the back to prevent getting jumped on as much. It seems like I need to play lower to the ground and with the team more

it's people like you that make me happy that storm, a character i wanna main, does actually have potential to be good and isnt a troll pick. IT inspires me to continue getting better with her. Does she need buffs? Yes and no, mostly tweaks would work. she isnt as bad as people say she is, i do just wish that i knew how much my buff provides my allies though, especially when i use goddess blessing. also remove her need to reload and her fall off, its wind, she controls the weather, there should be no fall off or need to reload.
I genuinely think she’s just fine. No buffs needed in my eyes. Pour yourself into the map design and find as many corners you can play around effectively, even better if you can play with friends. Storm might feel problematic in solo queue, but it’s all matter of application and experimenting in my eye. But this is just how I feel personally
Literally yesterday I got 25k damage in a stomp 2-0 domination game and someone on my team said "we have the one guy on our team that only plays Storm." She's pretty good and her aura alone is worth like 5k-8k damage every game. You do the damage of a support as an aura, and the damage of a DPS yourself, can make your entire team faster than Mantis, have one of the best ults in the game, one of the better teamups, a piercing ranged basic attack and a hit scan piercing nuke for a right click? I really don't know why more people don't use her.
Honestly it's because people play her like how other fliers who want to be high up and spam poke, when she's actually supposed to be played like a brawler and her flight to snipe people who try and escape after her poke.

I've tried playing with team, staying further back, playing low, playing high, but they always seem to just... hop on my stuff. Is there a way I can deal with them? Or do I kinda just have to rely on my team since he can perma-stick to me in the air? He's really the only thing I have troubles dealing with as Storm
Activate damage boost (it does aoe multiple times) then when he “locks on” he’s STUCK hit him with one auto and a right click. You aren’t stuck with him he’s stuck with you!
@@TankyCrobat Yeah sorry, assuming you are a high average ranked player, you can't deal with him by yourself unless the opponent plays with his feet, you gotta count on your teammates by staying the very middle so the backline can lock him and the healers support you
I went into practice mode and she actually outputs a lot of damage. Pop lightning e, 2 primary fires, and right click to finish it off and 250-275 hp heroes are dead.
Storm's problem can be simplified for why she's just objectively bad, or damn near the worst of the worst. The time and effort it takes to make her serviceable, or to get a kill, simply feels like it's 10x harder than anyone else who shares her role or her abilities. Having played her myself the only opinion I can have of her is she's just a flying ult bot because those are the only abilities that feel the most impactful when using her. And she's nice to look at XP Fly too high and no one gets her buffs. Fly too low and you're an easy target for even enemy team's melee. Too far back and you never hit anything. Too close up and risk getting shredded by even a Strategist unit. Gets out DPS'd per second by every other Duelist. To top it off, Iron Man makes her existence almost completely irrelevant. TL;DR: Why work harder for so little, when you can accomplish more with only a quarter of the effort? Only reasonable answer is because we love the character. Hence people's frustration with Storm in particular.

And I agree, the game is new, hence why the meta is developing and players are changing their mind about characters. However, it’s clear how fast perception of Wolverine changes compared to Storm (Wolverine goes from one of the worst duelist to a decent pick, and even other high elo players are recognizing this). If you look at the competitive tournaments (coordinated environment), Wolverine are picked in many creative strategies as well as players test him out. There is clearly an issue with storm that leads to her unpopularity and therefore lower pick rates, even in coordinated environment where she should be better due to her team enhancement.

People are saying she's the worst, boring, and this and that. What's ironic is that I used Scarlett Witch to go from nothing to Diamond and Storm helped me and my team I'm with now get to GM. So I'm not sure what the problem is lol. And we're close to ranking up again and I'm still using Storm or Scarlett Witch depending on enemy comp and map and we're doing fine. You basically use her ult to make enemy healers break line of site with their tanks and separate them. So she's kinda like a slow moving buffing turret with a dive ult. And with a Thor online it turns one of her ability into a auto target lightning strike that hits everyone that enters her radius so it goes well with someone who can do fast damage where their healers can't keep up.
Storm is an amazing unit in the right hands and the team comp is good. The 3star rating should be 5 star bc she is way harder to handle than any other character.
So is Storm's primary role to help hold space by popping E when/if anyone tries to dive, then passively buff her allies damage while farming for ult so she can actually make plays? Thats definitely.. unique? Not what i wouldve expected from a flying character.
Something I noticed you doing, you activate the empowered Lightning aura just before you ult Does it actually increase the damage of the ult? I would think the aura effect is disabled during the ult

just hit gm3 onetricking storm (your thor is my duo lol) what is your control scheme for storm? specifically I kept the default Ctrl to Descend but my pinkie has been feeling sore.
This might be weird… but it works for me, with storm specifically I changed descend to my right click and her original right click ability to my side mouse button 😅 once I got used to it it started feeling much better.
People probably say she is the worst hero as she is "IMO" the hardest character in the game to aim with. She's like iron man but imagine him not having the aoe damage he would be a pain to aim with. Although your team gets benefits from you playing her. I solely believe iron man would be a better pick in most cases. Much love though, great vids❤❤❤
I think that as time goes on and people start getting better not only with their own characters but also storm. Personally think she is a good enabler when your team knows what they are doing and the storm knows what their are doing. If her team or herself doesn’t pull their weight then yeah she is pretty bad.
Ppl just dont understand storm. She can easily do the most damage in a match (Also this is my fave storm map). If you know what youre doing (or rather, your team knows how to play with a storm), then she easily does the most damage.
The damage boost I give to my teammates and the damage they do because of that is not calculated in that number. Its just the damage I do, including my own boosted damage.
yea storm isnt as bad shes just very team oriented its just that storm cant solo carry her team like the rest of the duelists(from my experience playing as her in low rank lobby) and i think thats one of the reasons why people dont really like storm cause they expect that dps carry

@@Droid6689 saw a storm playing on the other team, started off really strong with 0 deaths with 7/0/6 score but halfway through she gets focused and ends up dying. I think her main goal besides poking and supporting team, is to build up her ult asap and hope it's enough of a game changer. Otherwise her impact seems minimal once they can outheal her pokes. As a storm player, maybe need some QOL tuning.
She’s not the worst by far. Nobody uses her bc they don’t know how to. She really good. Iron Fist or Black Widow is by far the worst character in the game
Regardless of being carried by skill, she is still the worst hero. She is a duellist who does less effective damage than most strategists even with both buffs active. They should increase her base damage then rework her Goddess Boost (E) so damage mode electrifies her aura to passively hurt enemies, and speed mode does an AOE wind knock back and stun.
Clearly not played storm! Her E in lightning weather DOES dmg, in team fights she can hit EVERY enemy without even looking at them, ive fired off my E so many times to kill heros diving my support line not even knowing they are there

Yea her Peni's kit relies on a good oriented team to manage her better. But I really do like her and Squirrel Girl's kit

its largely a team thing, but if you wait out his block then do your combo you can pressure him enough to get him very low or eliminate him

Does it actually increase the damage of the ult? I would think the aura effect is disabled during the ult
no. usually I activate my goddess boost before ulting to give my team that extra pressure bc that helps my ult. so minimal, but thats why.

just hit gm3 onetricking storm (your thor is my duo lol) what is your control scheme for storm? specifically I kept the default Ctrl to Descend but my pinkie has been feeling sore.
my controls are default. my keyboard is tilted like 45° though so that might be why it doesnt hurt my pinky
I use F for descent.
This might be weird… but it works for me, with storm specifically I changed descend to my right click and her original right click ability to my side mouse button 😅 once I got used to it it started feeling much better.
I have descent like this because it still allows me strafe side to side easily without having to take any of my fingers off of wasd

People probably say she is the worst hero as she is "IMO" the hardest character in the game to aim with.
She's like iron man but imagine him not having the aoe damage he would be a pain to aim with.

I think that as time goes on and people start getting better not only with their own characters but also storm.
Personally think she is a good enabler when your team knows what they are doing and the storm knows what their are doing. If her team or herself doesn’t pull their weight then yeah she is pretty bad.
I just feel like spider islands convoy is the best Storm map. Had my best games with her there

Ppl just dont understand storm. She can easily do the most damage in a match (Also this is my fave storm map). If you know what youre doing (or rather, your team knows how to play with a storm), then she easily does the most damage.
Widow is the certified worst hero. Storm is just clunky, but at least her ult is great. Widow doesnt get that luxury.

The damage boost I give to my teammates and the damage they do because of that is not calculated in that number. Its just the damage I do, including my own boosted damage.

yea storm isnt as bad shes just very team oriented its just that storm cant solo carry her team like the rest of the duelists(from my experience playing as her in low rank lobby) and i think thats one of the reasons why people dont really like storm cause they expect that dps carry

Those are some clutch heals. Without your squad you'd be spending a lot more time running back to the payload, such is Storm~

Hi, I've been trying to play storm in bronze 1 but i get focused by Iron fist and snipers like Widow and Hawkeye. Any tips for these ?
Get to cover, stay close to your supports and always have godess boost ready to go when you feel that you're going to be engaged by the enemie.
Playing storm into a decent hawkeye sounds like a recipe for disaster
@@Droid6689 saw a storm playing on the other team, started off really strong with 0 deaths with 7/0/6 score but halfway through she gets focused and ends up dying. I think her main goal besides poking and supporting team, is to build up her ult asap and hope it's enough of a game changer. Otherwise her impact seems minimal once they can outheal her pokes. As a storm player, maybe need some QOL tuning.

Regardless of being carried by skill, she is still the worst hero. She is a duellist who does less effective damage than most strategists even with both buffs active.
They should increase her base damage then rework her Goddess Boost (E) so damage mode electrifies her aura to passively hurt enemies, and speed mode does an AOE wind knock back and stun.
