That Batmobile was beautiful. What a piece. Thanks Dan for covering Comic-Con. Always enjoy your toy hunting videos.
Man, so many drool-worthy vintage toys, glad to see there's still some bargains to be found though!
Had that Batmobile when I was a kid!!!!
The best part of Comic-Con! Sunday shopping for toys. :)
Man i love simple things like the dude wrapped in cotton candy from killer klowns! Nice trapper keeper shirt and it makes up for the dad joke at the beginning lol!
I’ve slowly been transitioning from video game collecting to toy collecting. Channels like this is awesome.
OMG YOUR TRAPPER KEEPER SHIRT!!
Catching up on videos. I love all the rare toys...I was spending money in my mind as you were spending money for real! Thanks again for sharing your love with us!!!
The best part of these videos are the vintage commercials.
You don't like watching me? haha
How generous that they just gifted you and Pat something ^_^
HI PIXEL DAN! I HAD ENJOYED THE TOY HUNTING AT THE SDCC. THERE WERE SO MUCH TOY GOODNESS THAT I SAW ON YOUR CHANNEL. VERY ENTERTAINING AND INFORMATIVE CONTENT. THANKS FOR SHARING FRIEND!
I still have that secret wars turbo cycle! Box and all. Very cool to see all the great booths and collectibles you come across.
Captain power. Damn a core memory just unlocked i swear i had a toy of those as a kid. Oh! I had that knight rider car!
Spectacular all these vintage TMNT toys 9:35 tremendous and at 16:20 those vehicles are Holy Grails, you should have bought all esps vehicles from tmnt playmates Pixel Dan? greetings 🙂💪🏻👏🏻🇦🇷
Omg, the spidey belt! I would wear mine while i ran around with my spidey copter.
Arco was a division of Mattel. They made a lot of Barbie playsets and low-end houses and small action figure sets featuring Mickey Mouse and friends. I worked at TRU from 88 to 91 and during that time the store had 1 1/2 aisles devoted to Barbie with the other side of the half aisle being almost nothing but girls and pre-school Arco product. I believe Arco was what was known as a "letter of credit" business, they'd manufacture product for the big accounts on a letter of credit and the purchaser would accept the merchandise in China and have it shipped instead of Mattel bringing it here and warehousing it for distribution. (Hasbro had a letter of credit division called Kid Dimensions around the same time and that is basically how the GI Joe team described how the business worked.)
loved the video and the enthousiasm! 🙏🏻👊🏻😁
I had that '89 Batmobile. Loved it.
I bought a vintage Madball Touchdown Terror at that booth with the spider. It was definitely one of my favorite things I picked up at the con.
I had that turbo cycle as a kid along with the Doom Tower playset. I still have the tower and did get the doom wheel later on. loved that line .
Technically, Ron Lim’s cover for Silver Surfer #50 (“Deeply Buried Secrets”) shown at 4:27 was foil embossed. Chromium enhancement was less common and way more expensive. It’s usually associated with Valiant comics like Bloodshot #1 (“Blood of the Machine”), Turok: Dinosaur Hunter #1 (“Cold Blood Blazing”), and Ninjak #1 ("Black Water").
I believe Superman #82 concluding the 'Reign of the Supermen' crossover is the only DC chromium cover published in the nineties. The most well-known Marvel chromium covers not counting reprints might be X-Men: Alpha #1 ("A Beginning"), Spider-Man Maximum Clonage: Omega #1 ("The End of the Beginning"), and 2099 A.D. Genesis #1 (“Mid Day Sun”).
Hi Pixel Dan, thank you very much for sharing with us another year of the SDCC, everything you showed is excellent and congrats for your haul, thank you very much again and blessings to you and the Pixel family! 🤘😎
Just want to say thanks to you and yours for the coverage of sdcc. Much Enjoyed!
His name is Pat and he buys crap, every Saturday and Sunday you know where he’s at, it’s SDCC madness!
The opening joke was funny. Nothing wrong with a little chuckle. 😂
6:40 - Wow, I was huge into Captain Power as a little boy, and thought I had everything from the line. Never seen or heard of this before.
Thanks so much for all the coverage each and every year keep doing what you do best!
I was in love with Captain Power and had no idea that base existed. So cool
so much rad stuff!!
Love me a good toy hunt. Glad you had a fun time.
My Uncle would've loved this. He was big fans of both your guys' channels. He passed away a few months back unfortunately. Awesome vid though!
So Sorry to hear that!
How come you didn't do a full Booth tour of Mezco like you used to in the past ? And what happened to that eccentric dude who would give you the tour of the DC collectibles booth ? Those two omissions this year made your uploads feel incomplete
Yo Robo thanks for all you do! Your work is great! Keep it up! I agree I fulfillment of completion out ways the accuracy of the details on building a custom. Bummed I didn’t run into you in San Diego maybe next year we will catch up be easy bro keep fallowing your source 🤙
I had that black cover issue of Spider-Man #1. Mine was autographed by McFarlane with a certificate of authenticity. But I traded it to a guy for some GI Joe USS Flagg parts.
Love the Trapper Keeper shirt
Dan! I'm a sucker for Secret Wars too. Excellent find!
i got those tron figures! and a lot of gi joe street fighter, vintage starwars from that particular booth!
This is gonna be good 🎉 😁
Ha! Hope so!
That's shirt pattern is so complicated! Did you get that at Dan Flashes? Also, dude, so jealous that you went. You live the life, Dan!! 😊
I like your shirt it gives me a major 90s vibe.
used to love that damn secret war cycle
Thank u for taking us down memory lane with all the classic figs… I went from age 4-14 just with the super powers and wwf figs♥️
I love you're shirt pixel dan & great vid
Awesome toys collection 😊
You've always had the best coverage for SDCC and because of my diminishing vision it's becoming harder and harder to go to cons (didn't go the second day of PowerCon in the last CA because of my vision). Living vicariously through your experiences has always been a great way to make up for not going. Thank you so much for all your videos and especially the con ones. You're the best! Also... So glad that you didn't pick up any of those "garbage Joes"... Those abominations need to stay locked away for all eternity! 😅
haha! Garbage joes!
I love the Killer Clowns cotton candy pods. I had the movie Batmobile. Unfortunately, I sold it. it was fun though. I also had Joker and Batman from the first movie. 50 for that turbo cycle is really good for that. I had a few Secret Wars toys. I loved them especially Baron Zemo. Those carded turtles are priced pretty good. It's crazy how high valued they are. I had the April with the orange on it. I wish I had gone for the Star Brigade line. I also wish I begged my mom to get the Defiant Space Complex. I noticed the McDonald's Super Marion happy meal toys in the case. I had all of those.
What would you have bought?
I recently really got into wwe, so if I had the money, totally would’ve bought a bunch of wrestling figures
oh! Great answer! I love wrestling!
Arco Toys is affiliated with Mattel in some way. They also produced a ton of Barbie stuff.
Hi Dan! 👋 I love your shirt!!
Great video Dan awesome finds
Can every video start with a pun from now on? 😂 There is no low too low!
I hope you and geek dad life make a video together!!! Two legend
I knew you donng toy hunting at San Diego comic con
I love Hulk Hogan and Macho Man they're my favorite WWE Wrestlers. Glad they made a 2 Pack of them together.
Yeah!!!!!!!!
Yeah!!! I love it brother!!!!
Love the RSVLTS shirts!
There was most definitely large pricepoints in the dealer booths. Sometimes n3-4 times what you can find elsewhere
Well, i guess this counts as some kind of Flee Market haha
I’d be looking at those Doctor Who items right at the start! 😂🎉❤
Arco must have had a partnership with Mattel because they made a lot for Barbie too.
I had that turbo cycle & the Doom version when I was a kid.
That 89 Batmobile is good but for the scale i like the other 2 better from the dark knight line because the canopy is included
Cool
Love these toy hunt vids! Surprised you didn't get the toybiz batman 1989. The incorrect version lol
@pixeldan the Richman-Gordman stores were a Midwest retailer, it’s funny, with you being in the Midwest and finding a toy from that area that’s almost 2000 miles away from home. Haha 🤘
@pixeldan how would someone contact you for an interview? Please reply.
Afternoon pixel dan....been watching you a long time...this is my birthday weekend...love a shout out
Happy birthday!
@@Pixel-dan thank you....i restarted collecting my he-man, it has grown a lot ..still can't get the bigger pieces...but, gonna try next year
Like you Dan I like better the 90s versions Joe's love the super neon color
Where did you get that Trapper Keeper Shirt? I have that binder and would like to get that shirt you are wearing too.
Where did you get that wizard Trapper Keeper shirt?
Always fun to see Pat out in the wild.
Or at comic cons jeje 😎
Those carded figure prices are ridiculous.
LMAO 225$ for wolfman leo. I got my hands on unpunched MOC wolfman leo + movie 3 april together back then in 2016 for totalling 48$ :D
Am I weird if I only buy open toys, and if they aren't to old/ expensive I'll open them?
Are you going to be at power con this weekend?
Many will disagree with me on this, but I feel that the 1990s was a dark, difficult time for comics. The stupid variant and foil covers, other gimmicks, Todd McFarlane and Rob Liefeld rising to prominence on awful art, the obnoxious "extreme" attitude going on during this era, etc.
McFarlane as an awful artist? Really? I would’ve said you had a valid argument, but that ain’t it chief.
I don't necessarily disagree. I remember reading a 1994 interview with Rob Liefeld published in Previews where he compared imprints to recipes. He described the Extreme Studios corner of Image comics as spicy chicken fajita while DEFIANT is more like filet mignon. That's a very apt description in my opinion.
By the way, you might want to check out Youngblood: Bloodsport #1 from Arcade comics even if you hate Liefeld's style. It's written by Mark Millar and definitely the most audacious story ever told featuring Shaft & Badrock.
Runs like Chris Claremont's Sovereign Seven #1-36, Steve Englehart's Strangers #1-24, Mike W. Barr's Mantra #1-24, Jim Shooter's Magnus, Robot Fighter #0-20 + Predator Versus Magnus, Robot Fighter #1-2, James Robinson’s Firearm #0-18 + Codename: Firearm #0-2, James Hudnall’s The Solution #0-17, Len Strazewski’s The Fly #1-17 + Annual #1, David Michelinie's H.A.R.D. Corps #1-16, Chris Ulm’s Rune #0-9 + Curse of Rune #1-4 + Rune/Silver Surfer #1 + Rune Vs. Venom #1, Gerard Jones’ Solitaire #1-12 and Steve Gerber's Sludge #1-11 + Red X-Mas #1 are often overlooked yet very memorable.
Any chance anyone knows where Dan got that shirt he's wearing during the insert shots I'd love to know!
RSVLTS
@@Pixel-dan I got a Jurassic Park shirt from them. Thank you so much for replying! Love your work.
Even though I live less than 2 hrs from it I haven't been since the 90s as I don't know anybody that cvan get me in as normal tickets sell out in seconds
I am planning to get many stuff after i pay off some bills but like the Phoenix ill return
Seeing those Doctor Who toys within the first second is heartbreaking, they're nightmare priced online so I wonder what they go for at the convention
I wish I could do some of the toy shows. Here in Ohio we have a few a year. Having to use a mobility scooter sucks getting through isles and being tall enough to see stuff.
Glue the flap
Pixel dan and geek dad life two legends toy
Hey bro wanna see a custom thundercats vehicle?
always!
@@Pixel-dan i am from the Philippines, man i love your Show Custom World Art will do the trick...
Yesterday I picked up TMNT splinter from the new TMNT mutant mayhem movie
Awesome!
mic levels...
You should be plastic Dan
You think so?
@@Pixel-dan yeah man I think it's time
Haha.
just a suggestion how about not going back to the studio every few mins and just have the video focused on the show. it is a bit jarring some times.
