They are wheels, not "rims." The rim is a part of the wheel, and is not the entire wheel itself.

Surprisingly Porsche looks better. Printed head lights on Ferrari are just not enough.
I love the printed calipers and engine components on the Sian. I hate applying stickers to higher end sets
But I got to give some credit to the Ferrari 488 because the 911 Porsche looks so hollow in the inside but the ferrari looks like it's impacted with pieces also, I really like the front bumper👍👍
Also, the Porsche looks like a beast compared to the actual car.
I agree with you on the sticker thing on the Ferrari, however I don't like the front on the Porsche at all. The headlights could have been more like the actual car right??
True wish they just added some special pieces for the headlights. But they r fine tho
I have build both cars. Another difference not mentioned in the video is that the Porsche comes with bags not numbered. The Ferrari comes with bags numbered from 1 to 5. In my opinion when building the Porsche all 1,580 bricks had to be displayed, this takes time, need more space. Building the Ferrari, with each bag numbered results in a more organised, disciplined, relaxed build.
In conclusion, I enjoyed both builds. Thanks for a well presented video.

I'm fortunate enough to have _both_ sets... the Porsche one came first as a birthday present.
And I can't help but feel that I'd prefer 911 RSR over 488 GTE any day. But hey, both of them are fun to build.
At first I thought the Ferrari looked better but looking at them now I’m leaning towards the Porsche

The ferrari chassis isnt stronger at all, only the steering rack is, the rest of the body just flexes and bends while the porsche can easily be picked up by the wing and not flex one bit

It's because there is a huge hole in the ferrari. Terrible construction and way to many stickers! Lego is getting more and more worse but more expensive. A much better model is the red sportscar from Cada, with double the amount of bricks for the same prize. It's looking way better!
Porsche's wing is chassis mounted. (The Ferrari's is supposed to be but this set is lacking that).
The rear engine bay view on the Prancing Pony is perfection.
The Porsche definitely looks better, but there are some really nice parts with the Ferrari. I’ve always been quite partial to red LEGO.
Everything about the Porsche is better in my opinion. Cheaper, brick headlights, better structure, looks less like a toy, and doesn’t look like it’s on a massive lift kit like the Ferrari

I like the ferrari rear wing structure, and the black structure aesthetic but in my opinion i’d say porsche. It just has a more realistic design and even has actual headlights instead of stickers.

Both are very beautiful sets but Porsche looks little bit better to me. Ferrari has too many stickers and basic printed head lights are not really great.

Nice video, summed it all up pretty well. I have both sets myself and only finished the Ferrari in the last week. I honestly think the Porsche is still my favourite, but that isn’t saying the Ferrari is bad. In my opinion, the Porsche more resembles the real thing.
Just for context; i have these models on display and are rarely “played” with.
Just finished Ferrari. It is my first Lego ever and I felt in love with it ... Im here just to see that Porshe cause its already placed on my order list :D
I have both.. although I'm half way through the build of the Ferrari.
I would say that the Ferrari is a little more tricky to build, although I'm still enjoying the process.
I might lower the suspension of the Ferrari as it looks better on some of the videos I've seen.
The wheels are not asspecially made for the 488. They are also in the Land Rover- but still cool video!

There is a difference between the two. The Porsche does not have numbered bags. Meaning old style building with parts placed into various tubs. The Ferrari comes numbered bags, making the build more organised, need less space for bricks, build more ordered.
The Ferrari most probably has a lot of sponsors, maybe the reason for the amount of stickers advertising the sponsors.
the ferrari is a replica of an actual team car while the porsche is how porsche sells their rsr in real life, meaning it's representative of the way the car looks before a team purchases it and proceeds with adding their own livery. And yeah, building the porsche was a bit of pain without numbered bags
I’m so excited for the numbered bags. Honestly, the Porsche was a NIGHTMARE compared to the Lamborghini because of the bag situation.
@@WhatTheBrickTV I fully agree. Before buying a set, I look at the set on U-tube. The speed build shows me if the set has numbered bags. A little negative of numbered bags is when a number has many bags. When i built 42110 the Landrover Defender bag no 2 consisted of 7 bags all marked no 2.
In conclusion numbered bags are still tops for me.
So you guys are getting these as show items and only build it once? I guess the price per part measurement doesn't matter to you. Any original bag numbering has zero importance for rebuilding, right?
@@MikkoRantalainen Yes. All my models are built once and then just sit on the shelf. They are scale-replicas of real automobiles that happen to be made from LEGO.

My opinion is the Porsche over the Ferrari because I just can’t get over those stupid printed headlights on the Ferrari. The hood of the Ferrari looks soo flat while the Porsche hood has a 3D look to it.

Keep in mind that the Ferrari was not really to
play with, it was more for decoration. Also the design was kinda flimsy
and feels weak. It looks great tho so it’s up to you if you want to get it 😉.

Kinda annoying there isn’t a gear box, that’s the best part to build.
I spent 2 hours removing the ferraris printed lights and customised it and put on the spare RSR ones that I had

I think not this year. The pattern looks like every two years is 1:8 car released ( Porsche 2016, Chiron 2018 and Sian 2020 ). Flagship of year 2021 should be a Control+ Buldozer.

Colored models looks too childish in my opinion, Porsche RSR looks better (more realistic) in white and black, red colors.
the only reason that the 911 RSR looks better because of their color schemes . Porsche have been using this on their RSR lineup for 3 years now
well you can't blame the colour schemes for being too colourful or *childish* , because the tricolour paint represents the Italian Flag and to show respect to the hometown of Ferrari

The engine in this Lego Porsche is in fact 180 degree V engine, not a boxer egine like in the real car: www.porsche.com/international/motorsportandevents/motorsport/racingcars/911-rsr-2019/featuresandspecs/
The difference between 180 degree V engine and a boxer engine is in boxer engine opposing pistons go away from each other at the same time and in 180 degree V engine the pistons go as a pair in one direction and then to another direction. I guess the camshaft required for a true boxer engine was too complex for Lego build.

I had same problem ..spent about 20 minutes looking to see what I'd done wrong lol.
It's the way you fold the front back (hard to explain)
Just pull the front forward (after you've folded it over) and it will bring the lights forward..I hope that makes sense lol.

Both models are horrible! Do not buy them!! The Ferrari is really a shame on what Lego has done to the Technic world. The chassis is flexing, no technical functions, way too many stickers and highly overpriced. Plus the rims do not fit same with the Porsche. I am really surprised that both companies allowed these models to pass the quality control.

Ferrari's stickers sucks. LEGO these days has become lazy, makes a lot of stickers even for expensive products that cost over 200$. At least they printed headlight, but all the rest of the decals are stickers. And even printed headlight look sucks. Even Chinese fake LEGO company, CADA's Ferrari looks much more cooler and realistic. Not to mention that the price is much cheaper than LEGO. Please LEGO, pre-print decals. Do not use stickers. Make headlights with legit parts, not stickers or pre-printed image.
