- This video is all about why stove glass can craze, go milky or lose its transparency. If you have this problem then we know the cause and thankfully it is avoidable!
If you have any questions, then please feel free to drop them in the comments below, and also if you have any other questions that need answering then tell us in the comments and we shall do our best!
You know what would be interesting? I would've liked to see what ash hoover would you recommend. If you can review some of them, that would be awesome!
Nice idea, I’ll have to have a look.
I would be interested to know your thoughts on glass cleaning in this context. I was led to believe separately that cleaning the glass incorrectly could damage the surface and also that not cleaning it and leaving the fly ash and pale powdery deposits that seem to form over several fires will somehow make the glass uncleanable top the same degree.
I weas never sure of the best approach to resort to cleaning the inside glass about once every couple of weeks or longer. Ashamedly, I have to admit I do have a couple of areas of light hazing in the glass at the corners, nothing like as bad as the demonstration piece in this video though.
The ash isn’t a problem, but moisture is. I do have another glass cleaning video coming out, but it’s all about Dry Wipers. This is the best solution
Your music level is too high to hear you clearly.
Is it possible to prolong the life of the glass by swapping it round the other side? Or would this make no difference. 🔥
It’s the moisture that ruins it. The glass should last forever until you bump and break it, or acid crazes it. It’s more thing that happens rather than a slow deterioration.
What make and name of stove was that ?
Check out the Di Lusso R4. I think it's that one. The channel has a review of that stove.
It’s a Di Lusso, but the R5 (coming soon on a review) 👍
@@TheTortoise hoping to get the R4 installed soon. Unfortunately due to the design of my home, it'll be out the side of the wall and up the front of the house.
Congrats. I’ve seen it done well, so let’s hope it’s awesome. Always worth planning ahead to get a tip top result, but as long as you’re happy with the plans, fantastic! 👌
Totally distracted by piano noise
👍
Loving the socks
😆
The other day I re-filmed a whole range of takes, because of my socks when I saw the footage back.
Nightmare 😆
@@TheTortoise no need...adds personality :)
I can go with that 😂
Is a stove with crazed glass still safe to use?
Yea, it’s just the look that is spoiled.
@@TheTortoise many thanks
Yay socks!!
Embarrassing 😳
@@TheTortoise Not at all! Cool socks are your trademark!
😅
Your vocals seem to be panned to the right to my ears, which makes the piano compete for volume. Otherwise a really useful video!
I’ll have a look at this, thanks.
