@@tdbhmusic Yeah - writers, bloggers, producers, stage manager, make-up, art, wardrobe...still, they have more men vs women, especially on the stage/equipment/audio-video side of things. I was in a store with my friend, told him to look at how real this mannequin's hair were. Almost screamed when the mannequin rotated his head and looked at me. It was an old man. #thathappened

My sister always said she disliked Higgins, until one day she saw an episode where he wasn't there. Jimmy burned right through all the desk piece jokes and they were just as funny as ever, but at the end she remarks that it felt stiff and stale that day for some reason. Then I pointed out Higgins hadn't been there. No Higgins, no riffing. No riffing, all you've got is a bunch of cue cards you could read yourself online!
I'm with ya, Gloopy, Higgens is my favorite :D And since it's for a live show, it's about spacing. Like, imagine going to a concert for a band you like, and they just walk out, do all the songs back to back, and leave, no greeting, no talking between songs, and no long farewell at the end.
I have watched over 25-30 of these type of videos now, and Higgins didn't made me laugh once. Hell I didn't even smile on his jokes. He is terrible, i don't know what you guys see in him.
That one about the snow man and breaking his foot reminded me of one of my families FAVOURITE stories! We were in holiday in Australia and while by the beach my dad hurt his leg when he walked into a low post. His leg was bleeding a lot and when he found us and took us back to the post to show us he kicked the post in anger... forgetting that he was wearing crocs! And didn’t break his foot but he did loose the toenail on his big toe!
LOLOL. When you were waiting for the whip sound and when it comes, it fires down like thunderbolts, and Jimmy's trying to bring everything back to order. *dies on floor laughing*
I got my bottom wisdom teeth removed last summer, so I was drugged out of my mind after the procedure. We went to the supermarket and my mom walked off to look at something else. Why would anyone want to watch someone just sitting there reading Tweets? If that's the case I'd go read them myself. How boring. I think a lot of this is typical Fallon hate.

I have two funny stories that go with this. -One time at Old Navy, my mom asked a mannequin if it thought the outfit would look okay on her. A woman nearby came up, and said, "I don't think she's gonna answer you, but I think it looks just fine." -Another time, also at a store, my mom said, "Hey, that girl looks like me!" before realizing she was looking at a mirror.

He's been doing this bit for years. Suddenly now everyone starts complaining "Just read the Tweets". Then go on Twitter and read the tweets. This new trend is getting annoying. Why watch it if you already know what he is going to do.
This segment is sooo funny, but I really think you guys need to stop delaying the tweets with all the boring jokes and songs. I don't want to be rude, it's just that it's gotten to a point where it's a struggle to sit though the video. Occationally it's funny when you stop to make a joke, but 80 percent of the time it's frustrating and feels unprofessional. I like the energy, but the jokes are often cringeworty. The soundeffects are cool though! I also found it funny when the sound of the whip was delayed and then came three times. But to react to every Twitter name that sounds slightly weird, to rime with words, to start playing a song every time you get a chance and so on, where's the fun in that? I absolutely love Jimmy, he's sooo likable and funny and I really want to stay a fan, but it's hard sometimes and it's because I want to enjoy this segment!
The issue with viewer complaints is so often that the people who do like the way things are don't speak up. So I'd just like to put in my vote for "don't stop goofing off, I love it!"
Thanks for giving your opinion on this matter as well, and so humbly as well! :D I just want to make it more clear what my stance is, because the thing is that I really do like the goofing around and I absolutely DON'T want it to stop - that would be taking away alot of what I find so darn likable with Jimmy and this show! The problem for me is just when the goofing becomes watered out, forced and the jokes are wearing thin. In this video one example of what I mean is that they spent 10 seconds on saying "Whappy" in different ways. I don't mind them laughing at a funny Twitter name, but I think that if the name doesn't naturally make you laugh, don't try to force it to be funny and dig for comedy everytime and everywhere. My opinion is - have faith in the comedy of the tweets and try to hold in unneccesary words or sounds and wait for the actual funny jokes and the funny goofiness to come to your mind and then say it. I feel like right now, alot of times there are words, sounds and jokes being made - who's real comedic value isn't really thought through - and that they are just thrown out there in the hope that people still will laugh. Like saying "that happened" in a weird voice eight (!) times, I find that too much. Once, or maybe twice, is enough. And like, 10 seconds of that forced joke might not sound as a big thing, but together with all the moments of other (honestly) boring jokes, it becomes very frustrating to watch, and I (who always do have alot of patience) have now - after consistantly watching these segments from start - started to seriously consider if I really should click on these videos or not. And I really want to - because the idea is hilarious and so unique and the tweets are really funny. So again, I say all this because I want to improve the segment and I really do wanna keep watching! So to the producers and to the team: Thanks for all the hard work put in and thanks for producing such good content! Please listen to constructive criticism if alot of people agree on it (which it seems in the comment section), so we all want to keep watching! 😃👍❤️ Much love!!
Eh, the nature of improv is it's hit or miss, bigger laughs if it's funny because it's genuinely in the moment, bigger embarrassment if it fails. I don't care if it's "professional" as long as it's funny, though it's easy as a comedian to want to go back to the joke and that often results in burn out. If it's consistently done well, I think it's the best, and why I loved Craig Ferguson's show so much. It was genuinely funnier and more sincere them fucking around than what 30 writers working together could come up with I think, but that's just my preference.
Carlo Von Sexron Carlo Von Sexron I understand the concept and nature of improv. As I said I don't want them to stop goofing around (i.e. improvise). What I'm aiming at though is for them to get better at it. Yes, there is always a risk in improvising that the joke will fall flat - because you haven't tried the joke on an audience beforehand, that risk is the downside of improvising. But those risks are worth taking because in exchange you get this cool concept of live improvising, real time comedy, jokes being made in the moment - an awesome concept. When it works. Because the concept only works if you're funny and good at it. If this risk of the jokes flopping isn't taken seriously and ALOT of the jokes are falling flat, people will not want to take part of this concept. Look at the comments to this video and you will see a multitude of complaints against the quality of their improvise. What I mean is that yes, keep improvising, but do improve yourselves at it so that you don't say everything that comes to mind - have a thought beforehand, like 'is this gonna be funny?' 'Should I really say this same thing an eigth time?' Don't take for granted that people will forgive all the flopping jokes, be aware that people will get frustrated if you're just rhiming on words; that's not considered a high form of comedy. Think of it like the stand-up comedians do. They know they need to make their audience laugh consistantly and within a certain time limit before they will get bored. They know that they immediately have to bring the audience back with them again, once a joke has flopped. To me, it seems like the hosts don't take these principles very seriously - they seem to pretty much take for granted that their jokes can flop and that they don't have to redeem themselves. Why else would one try the same joke eight times? That is what I mean with being unprofessional - i.e. not professional at improvising. That's why I love Craig Ferguson's show as well - he's extremely professional at improvising.
Dammit Fred, you had one job! ONE JOB!

That kind of thing plays better with a live audience, so they keep doing it.
eyeball reflection - LMAO!!!!!
Tell me suckers, if he just read the tweets would we have gotten the whip fail?😂😂
