I really appreciate how nonjudgmental you are as far as recognizing that different people like different games :) Certain aspects of various games appeal to some people and not others- and that's okay! The whole point is to get together with other people and have a good time- whether that means playing a quick dexterity game, or an involved strategic game that lasts for hours. And that spirit and love of board games in general really shines through in your reviews and I appreciate it so much!
This is a great game, and great for kids who have graduated from the yellow box Haba games and are looking for some gentle forays into family style games. So fun.
3:39 - misplay. Should take the blue, causing the red to collide, which causes the blues to collide. You get all the same marbles he took, plus a whole lot more...
I wish they would write what the potion ability does on the potion itself, non board gamers would find using their memory unappealing. The non board gamers I know I guess.
+MarcusWindrune The marbles will look better. I talked to a CoolMini guy at CMoN expo that said the game is getting a slight upgrade to the components then released sometime around GenCon this year.
There is a Bejeweled board game which I would pick over this. In it, you can swap adjacent gems, either vertically or horizontally, to make a 3+ match. Looks authentic too.
Not quite sure why, but this was you at your best, Thom. Your final opinion was clear, succinct and well thought out. I'm going to skip this one for now.I feel the price point and depth aren't matching for my tastes. I love that mechanic though...maybe they should implement it in some other, deeper game. It's the potions themselves that seem a little dull.

Fantastic game. Sad it did not make your top 20 for the year, Mister Vasel, but I respect your other choices so it's all good.

Initially read this as 'Panty Explosion' which is the name of a real game, but I realized that you don't play or review tabletop RPGs.
