If anyone’s listening to this at this day and age and your reading this comment .. you’re fucking awesome and have excellent taste , it’s gonna be okay bro 🤟🏼
This track is about a lament on the struggles of being distant from the people you care about, from relationships to mortality. The lyrics allude to chasing a starlight as a metaphor for chasing an unattainable dream, as well as referencing black holes-the cosmic phenomenon which has the power to both reveal and swallow up light and matter. The narrator expresses a strong desire to hold close those they care about, and express a promise to never let the people they love have their memories fade away. The overall theme of the song is the power of hope and yearning in the face of loneliness, uncertainty, and fear.
I heard this song back when I was Grade School. So glad when my workmate played it yesterday, started to look on youtube and repeating the song all over again.
I heard this song for the first time back when it was released. I was a kid back then and there was a channel on TV playing new songs/music videos. Even though I ended up being a metalhead I always return to this masterpiece. It evokes so many childhood memories it's unbelievable. It makes me feel wonderful and sad at the same time.
When I was about four,I remember I was wearing my red dress and I decided to get the guitar hero microphone and walk in circles singing this song. My parents said that this was pretty much my favourite song. It still is.
*i just wanted to hold you in my arms.* his voice is gorgeous, beautiful changes in rhythms of his voice, touching every single nerve in one's body. thank you for doing this art.
Reminds me of childlike and simpler times in life, before everything got f uped, before people changed, before the times that are now, want to go back and change things in the past, because people are soooo like a wall these days
as george carlin once put it, the planet will shake us off like a bad case of fleas. humanity is certainly very dark and ugly now, on the precipice of its self-destruction or, by grace, awakening and the end of separation and suffering.
For some reason, I hear "I just wanted to hold ME in my arms." Anyone else hear this? I understand he doesn't say that and it wouldn't make any sense if he did, but I still hear that.
absolute classic. I sometimes forget about Muse, but theyre my mums favourite band for a bloody good reason
