Yes, I have fast intentions longtube headers as well. TDX catback with the 14” mufflers and resonated mid pipes. Check out my video where I compared the FI and tomei exhausts. I showed some clips there before I put the longtubes on. I used to have motordyne resonated art pipes.
@ do you think yours is too quiet or perfect where it’s at? i’m thinking if 18” resonators and 10” mufflers w resonated test pipes. I don’t want it too quiet but also don’t want that rasp.
A full build list would be awesome, if you would be okay with sharing that info! I'm planning on going with the 600hp kit on my 09 touring but I'll be sticking to pump gas (93 octane) 😁
Most likely no. In general with boost on this platform you won’t hit 600hp on pump gas. Companies like SOHO that show kits hitting 600 on pump gas are likely using octane booster to get that extra power. Safe bet is to go E, you’ll get the extra cooling benefits and much more power.
@ Do you know the weak spot on engine internals above 14psi on the vq? 600whp is my goal and tbh I can’t justify spending $20k to boost a car to only get 200hp gain. Rather put the money towards the new z.
@@k1llerlunat1c78 it’s hard to say, some people have pushed it past 700hp and have been okay for a bit. The biggest thing that kills these engines is high torque. Luckily with the SC you won’t be hitting as high torque as the turbo guys do. It’s also a linear power curve so the boost ramp is slower than a turbo car. I’m at 16psi pushing 650+ and so far the car seems okay. I’m also not always doing pulls and I keep up on my maintenance. 500wtq seems to be what you want to stay under for stock motor. You can get away with boosting for like 10 - 13k. My car made 316whp when it was NA, I’m making 300+ more than that now. If it’s a car you plan to keep for a long time, then boost it. If not, don’t waste the money.

Thanks bro! I appreciate that. I actually did a good amount of maintenance before boosting. Gallery gaskets were swapped with the kit from EPS.

@@chriskeomek3320 it will be on the quieter side. The mufflers are pretty big so it isn’t as loud as other exhausts.
