I did take my right foot off the gas when shifting but I get back on it very quick. Honestly I think I could still improve on my shifts, but the biggest thing that helped me was just learning the position of each gear and practicing my shifts over and over again. As I got more confident, I would try and speed up the shift.

@ thanks for the tips! Btw, do you have an upgraded clutch, flywheel, or tune? Cuz I heard those parts change the way you shift (loses rev hang etc)

No kidding...i took one look at the door gap and rocker gap, and would have taken them off and sent them back

Fly1 has a strict no refund/return policy once you accept the package, that’s how they save themselves from taking any responsibility for bad fitment. It is what it is, I took a gamble and would rather have them on the car than have $1700 go to waste

@@bosspanda6195 yeah I mean I was aware of how their stuff fits and how it’s really hit or miss. But they are the only ones who offer this style with the longer vent on top so that’s why I ordered from them.

Smaller pulley on the SC for more boost, twin pumps, fuel return, and E85. Yes I do have a flame map but I rarely use it

When I was on 91 and running smaller injectors it wasn’t too bad. I could get probably 300 miles out of a tank if on the highway mostly. Now that I have bigger injectors and run the car on E most of the time, I average like 10 - 12mpg. It’s terrible lol

Yes, I have fast intentions longtube headers as well. TDX catback with the 14” mufflers and resonated mid pipes. Check out my video where I compared the FI and tomei exhausts. I showed some clips there before I put the longtubes on. I used to have motordyne resonated art pipes.

@ do you think yours is too quiet or perfect where it’s at? i’m thinking if 18” resonators and 10” mufflers w resonated test pipes. I don’t want it too quiet but also don’t want that rasp.

@@chriskeomek3320 it will be on the quieter side. The mufflers are pretty big so it isn’t as loud as other exhausts.

Ethanol will fix that. The Z1 kit doesn’t make as good torque compared to other SC kits, but it is a whole different animal when on ethanol. I will be doing an updated review on the kit soon since I am now on the 80mm pulley.

I don’t live in Phoenix, but I was born and raised there, grew up in Tempe. I traded in the desert for this high altitude Pacific Northwest life. Snowed today, no bueno for the Z so she sits in the warm garage waiting for me.

I also installed it through the Playstore and just connected the dongle via the Bluetooth on the tablet. I had to try a few times until it finally paired. You need to make sure that the dongle isn’t currently connected to something else like your phone.

Most likely no. In general with boost on this platform you won’t hit 600hp on pump gas. Companies like SOHO that show kits hitting 600 on pump gas are likely using octane booster to get that extra power. Safe bet is to go E, you’ll get the extra cooling benefits and much more power.

@ Do you know the weak spot on engine internals above 14psi on the vq? 600whp is my goal and tbh I can’t justify spending $20k to boost a car to only get 200hp gain. Rather put the money towards the new z.

@@k1llerlunat1c78 it’s hard to say, some people have pushed it past 700hp and have been okay for a bit. The biggest thing that kills these engines is high torque. Luckily with the SC you won’t be hitting as high torque as the turbo guys do. It’s also a linear power curve so the boost ramp is slower than a turbo car. I’m at 16psi pushing 650+ and so far the car seems okay. I’m also not always doing pulls and I keep up on my maintenance. 500wtq seems to be what you want to stay under for stock motor. You can get away with boosting for like 10 - 13k. My car made 316whp when it was NA, I’m making 300+ more than that now. If it’s a car you plan to keep for a long time, then boost it. If not, don’t waste the money.
