Midget You have a great Idea, people don't have to just use this for 1x 1x you can measure the length with one unit blueprints and you can put like 4x 5x or something... IF you dont have the "Build power" just use the sawmill setup for another length.

its quite easy to make it work... just let all the wires join to 1 wire and then make them go in an inverter

if your question never got answered you can make that system work 2 ways, A) switch your or gates to xor's OR B) add a converter at the end of each lasers so that the signal is off and then on when triggered. You can also use a timer or sustain to hold or pause the the trap door and allow it to open again just before the track is clear to allow the next log to help the first cut evenly. Happy Gaming Fly!
or gates are like a wire extension (on + on = on)(on + off = on)(off + on = on) (off + off = off)
xor gates are like crossovers (on + on = off)(on + off = on)(off + on = on)(off + off = off)
and gates are good for sensors or safety stuff (on + on = on)(on + off = off)(off + on = off)(off + off = off)

I did something similar. I made a mountain with conveyors then my wood would hit a pressure plate which was against the wall and then my chop saw would cut
i know im a bit late to the party here and maybe youve already done this but take the start of every signal and put it through its own inverterter. then you run them through the or gates. its essentially detecting the absence of a signal rather than detecting the presence. or you could use a not gate too.
I haven't played this in a long time but i used to have an auto wood processing setup and i had issues with logs getting stuck sometimes, using funnel convayor is a good idea. I just started playing again and had to start over
For that whole lag situation i just made my sawmill x 1.2 and y 1 so it is wider and still can go under the wire and if it is smaller it can still fit...

If you flip the saw vertically the pieces won't get stuck on the "arm" of the saw and also you can place it in the dead center.

The thing is this is effective but very expensive . I have been looking for an effective system for people with only around 8k like me . Honestly I feel like I should just get lava wood but I just look for an easier way anyway. someone should make a video with a effective technique that's not so expensive. Ok i'm gonna go and grind wood now the normal way

Pretty sure you should be using AND gates instead of OR gates for the lasers

Yo guys he takes like 8 seconds to introduce himself
If u have each lazer by its self and then hook up each one to the hatch it will work
you need laser detectors from link logic and when the laser is hit the detects it and makes a signal
If you only have the two first ones going to a timer for 30 seconds and link it to the hatch, it will stay closed for 30 secs
an very long plank will give a lotta cash at once
Made my own version it's like one of those where you put the blue prints on the conveyor but at the end it makes a perfect 1 by 1 it isn't quite automatic I just use a pressure plate hooked to the saw and at the end I put 1 by 1 blocks to stop it from going down then when it cuts it I have to step off the pressure plate move the 1 by 1 wood block cuz it gets stuck then go back on the pressure plate that's my way of making a perfect 1 by 1 block
2 years later , and nothing happened on the placing system
still nothing happened to it

you have to connect all the lazers with an on-off gate and then connect everything as you had but not with the gate at the end
try putting only one laser on it so it will work

Why dont you just put two saws so it doesnt get stuck on the bar

CheezyPig's gotten you wasting money and space. As others have pointed out, you should be using ANDs, not ORs, and the problem is solved. Think of it like this: No wood is being chopped if laser 1 AND laser 2 AND laser 3 AND laser 4 AND laser five are on/true, which when inverted, opens the hatch. If any laser is off, the signal feeding the inverter goes to off/false, and the inverter closes the hatch.
Take a digital logic class, dude. You would not believe how much more sense it all makes after that.
If somebody can help me on Xbox I have the setup but when I.t gets cut I.t doesn’t fall and I.t slowly goes down and starts cutting smaller than 1-1
