I think also less exclusive items would help the game. I think that current game progression would be amazing if axes like the fire axe or the cave axe would be made non-limited time only and would be a great option for players to grind towards instead of just getting a ruky and being set for the rest of the game.

I agree, I don't like I that the game economy is being destroyed. But at the same time Lumber tycoon 2 is apparently very easy to hack or find glitches.

imagine if defaultio made lumber tycoon 3 with proper progression, new map, trees and items, gamepasses and finally fix or make duping & exploiting way harder or impossible. I would so come back to the game haha
this actually happened to the other game called oaklands, i still miss old map and glitch where you cant sit in the car properly.

Another suggestion: Being able to buy in Bulk blueprints as its tedious to buy them all each time per plot making it difficult to start out building when you can afford all the blueprints

I agree. However is doesn't take too long to get them all, considering you never loose them unless you overwrite your base. And we need new Blueprints. I have an idea, Defaltio should make an "elevator conveyor" so that wood could be moved strait up. The tilted conveyor is so slow.

a very big easy fix to a LOT of the progression issues is making limited items non limited, like all the tree specific axes and the eyeball

The game needs more puzzles like the shrine of sight or the maze. And explanations for things like the message in bob's shack (be in shape to be great) under the shelf.
I think most of these ideas are beneficial, except for the power-to-build stage system. As a longtime LT2 player for 7+ years, I've realized that the power to build is essential. However, I believe the game pass should be removed, and players who already own it should receive limited items for each slot. Your stage progression system is a good idea, but I think the prices should be higher, and there should be an option for a 1-unit build option. For example, a 25% decrease in wood use could cost 95k, a 50% decrease 315k, and a 75% decrease 745k. However, I believe there should be challenging tasks for players to attempt after reaching these stages, similar to the green box challenge. To earn the 1-unit building option, players would have to complete these difficult challenges, making it a prestigious achievement for skilled players.
This could work too as long as the challenges are difficult enough to deter non-serious players

I totally agree, despite the lack of progress with players and the game's economy, there's is a massive issue within lumber tycoon 2. within issues of exploiters/hackers but, the issue believe every single lumber player had to go through making there bases is "beggars", beggars within lumber tycoon 2 is pretty frustrating. people would come up to your base and start begging for axes, money, etc. Its so much anger with these kind of people that really want to boost there progress of becoming like this big player that soon will ran into these people are just mad hard getting through your trading, buying, even building. look if I am so wrong just tell me. this is one of my biggest issues I ever have as a lumber player within the community and just because I have like 18.4milion in-game currency (didn't really earn this lol) doesn't mean you just come up to me and say things you really need. pro tip: if your ever try to do this kind of stuff, just take a minute and try your darn best to cut those trees down and sell. there no kind of need to actually look for people to give you things. go what I went though, I started off probably the same people do on lt2.
bro fr i have 10M and this beggar came to me kept begging and he didnt shop a single tree, he literally had 20 dollars and the fist thing he does is beg? i gave him 100 dollars becuase he annoyed me and told him to try to buy a slot and sell the sign, HE DIDNT EVEN TALK TO ME, he kept saying "pls money mney" and he had didnt even respond to me giving him money, then he said pls 10K i said oh man these f****** dont do SHIT LIKE NOT CUT A DAMN TREE? and ask for money... without even STARTING OUT, THis new generation has no patience and only wants instant results, all due to tik tok and short form content, and other things like thier parents buying them electronic devvices early.... etc etc most of them never wait for anything in thier lives smh
They should maybe have a point where you need to progress far enough into the game to recieve or donate money. Would help a lot. I also didn’t really earn my money, cause after playing the game for a while ur bound to find an exploiter who just gives people money
What happened to me once was a beggar came to my base and was begging to me to give 50k but I gave him 6k and that is enough to get him started since he was new but he still was begging and so I just stopped responding to him and he left
this would be AMAZING to add in LT2 but i dont think Defaltio will do so because he has basically give up on the game

I like the Ideas in the Video. I also wish there are new axes obtainable like the way the Rukiryaxe ax is. As well as new high money trees. I don't like it that the Candy Axe's purpose is unknown, and always am looking for something connected to it in the game.

i am pretty sure defaultio just thought of these old tycoon games while making the progression of this game. If you want to have fun with the game there is litteraly 2 types of "fun" stuff to do, art (building, wires, electronic stuff etc.) and trading (the one i play this game for)
and even to get into both of these you either need some duped items or grind it yourself, for art, lest say you want to build a neat house, lets think about the price; you will either grind a #### ton of wood or plank you want for your house, this will either take your at least 3-5 hours depending on what wood you use, your equipment, your pacing etc. etc. (presuming that this house is something inbetween a small-medium house)
OR you can spend 10 million for golden bp, if you are into trading or have a reliable source, some wood for 500k up to 1.5m based on how much wood you use, and your time to plan and build it.
If you are lazy like me it could take days. This game is just not fun until a point where you can easily afford stuff you want to make or have the time to do so

I hate grinding, but also don’t like how you need to rely on trading to afford things that make the game enjoyable.

I agree with this it will make the game way better and their should be new wood added or biome because I know people would like to build with black wood and other dark and light color wood.
All welcome and needed changes, was originally grinding for powers back in 2021 but eventually burned out, grinding lava/ice got boring really quick. The reward might've been worth it but after hitting 1m I just stopped. I like grinding but 10m without trading ain't easy to get. The money yielded while grinding lava wood literally got cut in half after wall-climbing got patched too.

I got a trick that i did with a friend a few days ago. You both pick up a birch tree trunk, stand on top of your partner's trunk while he stands on yours, and then if you each pick up the logs, you will be able to slowly float upwards towards the volcano.
the blueprint stages should cost more, and there could be a stage 4 for like 5 millions with gives option to build with only one unit
but people who buy gamepass should still get stage 3,and be able to buy stage 4
on the bluepring filling there should be a stage 4 which cost 1.5M to get and you will get a 100% reduction and the blueprint gamepass will get you to the stage 3 and make a discount so the stage 4 will cost 750k instead of 1.5M
I’m against this idea as a full reduction removes creativity when building intuitive sawmill systems but if this were to happen I’d recommend just readjusting the three stages to be 33% 66% and 99% and buffing all the prices.
I like the ideas, but Lumber Tycoon 2 is kinda a dead game now. I don't think the devs would care to fix it. Great video btw.
The beauty of LT2 lies within the fact that its not a woodcutting game but a business game. Limited items every holdiay are for a reason and that being the very diverse teading community. Through Trading, progression can be very fast based on your skills. Only downside atm is dupers. We need a fix for that.

I've had an idea for a feature that could be pretty convenient, where you can grab multiple logs (depending on their mass) and couple them with a blue wire for easier and more convenient transportation. It would work best with smaller ones that don't give much and just make you go back and forth,

I wulld make golde bluprints called the dimond bluprints, it will cost the same(10009000) and you will get it on all slots.

I think spookyneon should be more than 420 per unit, i'd say about 2,000. Think about this
I have found 11 spookyneons in over 700 spooky trees found total in about 3 years, and it's the rarest tree in the game by far, and I am really lucky with spookyneons too.
It should be more rewarding to hunt for spook trees because there is quite litteraly no point to right now because of the economy, it's available for 1 month of the year, rare as crap, and doesn't even sell for the same amount as frost wood, but otherwise I like it lol sorry for making u read allat

I get that the end times axe is the only axe that can chop phantom wood, but it being so much worse than the ruki axe just feels really sad.

I think these changes would be great especially because the change the pricerange a lot but they would need to be added with a total money wipe meaning every player would lose his money or at least have a Maximum of 1 million left meaning the trading economy would match the rest of the games pricing.
Yeah great idea make the game wayyy easier for newer players and remove all the progress of people who have been dedicated and loyal to the game to get so far….. sure good idea
@@malaki4519 I mean, it would solve a big inflation issue that has been part of lt2 for too long now. If there exists less money, your million will have more worth. Resold item prices will also have go down to match the new worth the money simply because theres not as much as theres been before.
I understand what you mean, but I have a total of around 60 million in cash on all my saves which is so much that I have no idea how I could ever spend it again - buying items from player is also no option because I simply have too much any own at least 10 of every gift, axe and so much more. Less money in game = prices of resold items will sink.
It is unfortunately the last resort for lt2 or the economy will never become good again. Even after a money adjustment there are still player with hundreds of duped items. Its a small start to fix something big, but in my eyes it has to be done.

@@malaki4519 Issue is a lot of players got their money from exploiters who donated people (including me). I mean I spent a lot of time in this game but cheaters also boosted me anyways. Tbh I agree wiping progress is a bad idea, for an actual balanced game again we would just need a LT3 or something which is probably very unlikely
@@e9cw196 As someone who has exploited. I know a bit about what’s happening. One they can’t EVER stop exploiters from getting money. A reset would one ruin the economy, two put legit players in a worse position. Exploiters will instantly skyrocket in money. Auto grab cavecrawler. Sawmill and then boom auto sell and you’re rich. All you need to do that infinitely is a private server. Then there’s the issue of end wood. It would be POINTLESS to be in the game. No eyes you see today are legit. Plus there’s so many unreleased hacks it’s insane. Until they can eliminate exploits for good (not possible for at least another year maybe 2) then there’s nothing they can do. They keep patching things for new methods to be worked out. To the point where hacks just abuse the game features and code. The idea of adding more and revising SOME not everything he put out is a great idea. Also once you’re lategame you stay lategame. That’s the point. Economy drives lumber. Trading (mainly driven with duped items) is what keeps this game alive
Me personally I feel like getting frost wood is too time consuming. Usually for me I just grind volcano wood, which isn’t that hard, and I could probably get 100k in maybe around 1-2 hours, but that’s just my method do what ya want.
It's sad to see that because Defaultio isn't updating the game anymore, the community needs to handle things. It makes sense though if you think about it. If Defaultio doesn't want to update, but the players want new content, they need to handle this themselves.

in my opinion cave crawler should be expensive since you go trough a lot of trouble of getting in and out and spend 800 money on travelling and the cave entrance steepness and getting stuck in the maze severely limit your trailers so its hard to get loads of it at once.
I agree to almost everything but the goldenblueprint, what if i alredy bought it whit 10mil or 720 robux, i cant get that money back if they change it to what u said.
Now I may be very late to this but I say a supply and demand system would be good like certain woods sometimes would be valued higher randomly on maybe a daily rotation or every hour or so this would get players to go around the map and not grind the same wood hard to get woods would be automatically higher value even not accounting the higher or lower bonus or debuff.
Lets be honest most of us literally just beg to obtain stuff and make buildings in LT2 the progression really do suck
Yeah and that likely won’t change even with this proposal. The goal is just to make the experience fun for the legit player.
The thing is, that people who spent 10 million on the golden blueprint HAS to be refunded.
I don't think its necessary as the end product is staying pretty much the same so users wont face much of a difference and still be satisfied with their initial purchase.

Chilltrill have babft that is pretty much one of the best games on Roblox because you can do anything there (still waiting for logic gates) and Soyben left from what i know after he uncopylocked booga booga as he couldn't work on it anymore, soo yea, Defaultio have to make game himself and also use more modern strategies (famous LT2 drag is now function of Roblox, probably thanks to him)

4:00 actually any wood can fit on starter sawmill, move the sawmill, put the wood where it was the green part, then quit moving the sawmill, the wood stays even if too big

Everything is good apart from changing power to build for players who already own it via in game money or robux, if they ever do something like that they should give everyone who got it with in game money a full refund minus the 124,000 stage 3 costs and they will have it without needing to do the puzzle all over again. As somone who bought power to build with robux I would be furious if they removed it, I paid for 1 unit building not some item. It took me weeks of playing pls donate to get the 700 robux for it.

I love the ideas showed in this video, but I think you went waaay down with the prices for the powers. I think better prices would be 80k, 200k and 500k. it may sound like a lot but with the other changes people could get to that amount of money, as extrapolating the 200 hours you mentioned to this new amount would be only 16 hours of pure grinding, which is not that much actually, many players spend at least 30 minutes per session which would mean that joining every day for a month they would have enough

Well here’s the thing. I like all the ideas of the trees, axes, etc. However, one thing I didn’t like was the powers. 1st you need 10,009,000 and that takes a long time to get. 2nd it is very hard to get as if you don’t know the path your pretty much screwed. 3rd it goes with some of the mysterious lore in lt2 because with the mysterious things in lt2 the game would be kind of boring.
also the non-renewable exclusive items (not counting duping or exploits) should be made obtainable -- ESPECIALLY the Flamingo Eye, as it gives access to an entire new wood
also palm wood should be obtainable w/o freezeglitching

excuse me what the f is that drop of price on the phantom wood 180 dollars from a unit on the plank? its not even going to be worth making it a plank at that point and the power to build with ease is literaly made to be end game and to help you to build with ease not pay like 230k and get a 75% unit decrease
Lone cave is an economy exclusive wood and thus it shouldn’t be the most profitable in the game. Even in a fixed economy lone cave is not meant for being sold as the total tree cost is less than the cost of the eye. It’s a really nice wood for building and my goal is to deincentivize selling it as it’s practically a free money source with a supply of duped eyes. As for the powers, yes it’s an end game item and this remains the same, only now instead of 200+ hours of grinding the player can be introduced to the powers shortly after obtaining the ruki. If you have any rebuttal to these reasons I would love to hear them as these changes could not be the best for other parts of the community.

Defaultio needs to add more stuff. New axes, new stuff for bases, new trees... This is to ensure that players will have something to play with. You can even add a prestige system, where players just need to sacrafice some wood, money and base, and get a authetic base upgrade, along with some multiplier. You may even add perks for prestige points, that help you progress. This will add some replayability to the game, as now you have to build up things from scratch for getting good benefits. This will 100% make players a little more engaged in the game.

The whole cheap/rare wood need to be rebalance and more easier to achieve if imma be honest. The physics engine isn't the best with this game and so you can end up glitching and bugging out with wood in your vehicle which makes the game really tedious and repetitive. To think this game is supposed to be fun and relaxing, clearly I was wrong.
There's a lot of opportunity in this theme. Hopefully someone makes a better game if the creator doesnt want to fix the current game. Right now there's so much lacking, but people still play due to this being the only game there is to this theme

to get frost player need to buy explosive from safari whih already cost 540-640, and then go troung twisty way
to get golden player just need to get to safari once, and then by nearby trees go up to the cliff and walk to the swamp
also, frost wood can be carried by car, means there could be lot of them at once, when regular way to get golden wood cant be reached with car(way from volcano is much harder and time consuming to get, so doesnt counts)
and third this is golden wood is wider, means more units of wood in one tree, if frost wood would be 32 new unit, to reach same price of one golden tree would be needed atleast 2 frost ones. There is another problem about that, swamp contain really lot of wood, not like snowy hill with frost wood, so it can just run out

@@sugarmickvains7728 frost is a lot smaller and already has other things going for it like it’s tech purposes. Gold is much harder to get in large quantities and is thicker overall.

Too bad Mr. Defaultio won't address most (if any) of the issues. It's my favourite game on Roblox, and it makes me very sad to see how much potential is left unitilised

I really like LT2 but oaklands just surpassed LT2 in terms of building ( more customizable, more choices and almost no limit) and the Oakland is still in alpha phase
Not really related to the video but the biggest issue with Oaklands is that it doesn’t have the longevity lt2 has. They require constant updates to keep the game alive and it dips substantially without them. This is true for basically every lt2 inspired game; none of them have reached the balance of content and design that lt2 has.
@@ElectroTechnologies it does need constant update because the game is still in alpha phase, not far from beta but definitely is far from being full released yet the game is very promising

When I play Oaklands it feels better than Lt2, but then I'll play lumber tycoon two which has less content in general and I feel like I want to go back to it instead of Oaklands.
