Chevrolet spark shock absorber replacement

2015 Chevy spark quick procedure of rear shock absorber replacement with kyb excel g part #348036
Sorry my cellphone ran out of battery hahaha!
But here are the steps in replacing the rear shock absorbers.
1. Jack or lift the car safely, use jack stands.
2. Remove shock absorber lower bolt
3. Remove side panel trims. In my case I just pull them wide enough to access the top mounts. There are 2 clips on the lower part, 1 clip near the tail light and 1 screw near the door opening.
4. Remove upper shock mount 15mm nut.
5. Remove old shock and hardwares from the car.
6. Transfer hardwares to new shock absorber, bump stopper, dust boot and top mount.
The old rubber bump stop disintegrated like a foam material. Replaced it with a rubber type bump stop.
7. Install the new shock in the car, insert top first then install and tighten the lower bolt.
8. Install the upper shock mount in the correct position and tighten it with the new 14mm self locking nut came with the new kyb shock absorber.
8. Put the side trims, screw and clips back.
Initial review on KYBs are that butt feels they are 10-20% firmer than the stock, note that I opted to replace them because my stock shock absorbers are not busted and not leaking but they are 75,000 km old with destroyed bump stopper. The car is also riding on H&R lowering springs, for me this shocks and springs are a good combo.
