Amazing! This is the most practiced, tightest, and most creative touring band in existence. All hail Trey Spruance, the most underrated guitarist (sazist?). In this age of autotune and souless production, having SC3 is a national treasure. What time signature is this in anyway?
I can die with the feeling of fulfilment for having seen them live twice in my lifetime, in 2012 and 2014. And being able to talk to Trey and give him a warm fan hug. To me it was truly like a religious darshana experience.
trey spruance and buckethead are two terribly underrated guitarists and songwriters, Trey needs to make things up with mike patton and get on together with ipecac, and get the respect they deserve
The most imbecilic conduct of my life was the day in 2007 in Melbourne, Australia, when I allowed myself to get too intoxicated to properly experience this band playing live. Fool.
Is it just me or do they sound a million times better live? I remember seeing em' at the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne and it was magical. The sound was quiet and clear/sharp thanks to the mixer keeping it low... and I'll never forget watching the band... standing in the audience and seeing only the top halves of the band. When one would get to his feet and play with the hood it looked the way it sounded: spiritual and mysterious. Loved it.
the early albums are a great place to start imho. work your way through. just my opinion, I enjoy all of their albums but some are easier to get into than others; not that it isn't worth trying :)
saw Trey with Mr Bungle in the late 90's on the California tour. Amazing show and they played for over 2 hours, with an intermission. it was pretty amazing. 250 person venue. RIP Ranch Bowl
I'd say Book M or Book of Horizons. Please acknowledge that more than half of the material they play live is unreleased though. Actually, if you like what you hear here, your best shot might be to order the DVD this is taken from.
@yovioleatuzorramadre My vote would be for Estradasphere, but that's just me. I love both bands and consider them to be very important within the scheme of the universe. I think I read somewhere that they actually toured together several years ago which would have been nothing short of mind blowing.
i'm going to the states soon, and i'm going to order all your records! and your EP's. love you guys! the most talented, interesting bands as far as i'm concerned

(a waltz is basically running in the back all the time, although melody is sometimes playing weirdly around it)
Eso es hacer música con amor.
