Me too, but he was with uncle John with those. I wonder if now that Chris does stuff for himself mostly, that John continues on his own with those contracts.
Land maintenance is so important to a sound farm management plan. Happy to see a bit of time was dedicated to clearing up portions of the farm. You HAVE been busy, Chris! Wishing you a Happy Holiday season! P.S. The new mulcher is the BOMB!!!! 😍👍👏
I love how that mulcher slurps up saplings like you would a piece of spaghetti. It makes really short work of that stuff and leaves the ground looking so nice. Can't wait for that fire, looks so dry that it would be gone in no time. This was a fun one, Chris. Thanks for sharing.
It is interesting how far that corner of the property has come. The moo, moos are chilling. The cows would love that area you cleared the under growth in summer. Thank you and have a great day.
It’s always good to use equipment every now and then to keep the seals and all lubricated up. They won’t dry out. And also makes good for a video. Be safe God bless.
That little forrest area is definitely going to be healthier. Lots of nutrients from the mulch fertilizing the ground and less competition for it for the remaining trees. Their canopies should thicken out now. Nice forrest husbandry job Chris.
WOW !!! That Looks FANTASTIC ! What a difference. It really makes a HUGE difference; Cleaner - open - with dappled sunlight hitting the ground through the tree canopy. Again, that is really pretty ! Great Job !!!
To some folks, being a good steward of your land, while it's yours, is important. Not long ago, having game set by (rabbit, quail, turkey, 'n bushy tails) mebbe venison if you were lucky, sustained many rural farm families over winter. Care for habitat can produce food for years, in addition to "regular " farming. Too, quail song is beautiful, as is quail breast wrapped in bacon!
Chris, if you lift the mulcher up when you approach a tree and then come down on top of it from as high as you can, it will be much easier and faster to mulch the saplings. Also you won't get as much dirt and rock in the mulcher wearing out the teeth.
Once you start using a forestry mulcher it's hard to stop. They do such a nice job and they do it efficiently. Once you're done mulching plant a shade rated ground cover and in no time you'll get that woodsy park look.
That will let the high winds during storms flow through the trees/woods much better. Plus dry out after storms much better. Cut down on umwanted pests. Nice work. Very clean.
Do you ever let your dogs run with you while you work around the farm?? My dogs LOVE following me around while I'm working on projects or out on the tractor!!! You've really put an awful lot of work into your farm and it certainly shows 🙂
Awesome way to control all that secondary undergrowth, of what is essentially worthless trees. Now its flattened out and manageable you could just walk around with a brush cutter and a blade every six months or so and clean up any regrowth or regenerated sprouting in half an hour or so. Now that you have started it, it cant be stopped. The bigger trees will love all the extra nutrients they can now hoover up.
Seasoned wood , nice hot clean fire. Great for chimney's too. Mulcher is awesome. Backhoe firing right off like it was turned off yesterday, care for the equipment is key to your success.
Hey Chris have you ever thought about taking your mulcher to some of the stumps you get? Seems like it would make them burn better. Just a thought. Great videos really enjoy watching a master at work!
I am no expert, just a logical observer, and I love the mulcher, love the clearing of the underbrush. I really like hearing you so positive on this approach, and also featuring the local mulching at Beally-Good. Progress toward sustainability is what I try and do, and see you engaging. Go.
Dammit Man !! lololol... You had that thing in Beast Mode didn't ya !! lololol... I know, you don't want to be anywhere around that machine when your running it !! lolol... It does make it look a 1000 times nicer threw the wood line though, looks Great Chris !! Have a Great Evening, And, On too the Next !!
In that mulched area you may be able to get some ferns popping up if the conditions are just right... Ferns growning on the ground with tree canopy above makes for a great look.
Hi there was just wondering if we could see more footage from the skid steer when you use it. Love seeing you use mulcher attachment close up great work 👍
Check out the Baumalight drop saw. I have been very happy with the productivity of this attachment. The hydraulically controlled head is awesome for trimming limbs on trails and cutting down trees.
I saw the bucket switch video and don’t feel like looking for it . How’s the bucket working out ? I know you showed some work with it , but have you been able to do any more ?
So when you drop the bigger trees raise the cutter up and roll it back and cut it off high. The top will lay to you and you can back out from under it. Then grind the trunk down standing and there the rest of the pole is easier to grind on the ground if you keep one track on it while you grind it.
Chris letting a little grass grow back in those areas might be good. And putting another fence row at the back of them could let you include some of that for the cattle in the dog days of summer. Elvis might like some shade come those really hot days. Just some temporary fence with T posts in a line along the dense part is what I am seeing. Just a thought.
I was wondering about adding a 2 inch thick rubber pad on the bar in front of the mulcher that pushes the trees over. You can see that even the guys that do mulching all the time still damage some of the trees with that bar.
Chris, how You have Time, work You on the Farm. Clear the Heap with Tree and Bush falling off! Little Earth Heap make You to a greater and in the Wood Mulch You the Thicket! You make the Farm to a handsome Areal. And this by Your full Appointment Book. Thanks for all Videos, what always from Interesting. 💪👌👍
Love the content but I miss some of those really muddy pond digs Chris!!! Enjoy your success, you earned it 😊
Especially when using the’Mat’ as a giant squeegee to move that muck around!
I think John liked the mud gigs better than Chris…..😊
I see the coming soon!!
I miss those also, they are what interested me to his channel in the first place
Me too, but he was with uncle John with those. I wonder if now that Chris does stuff for himself mostly, that John continues on his own with those contracts.
Nice to see you being able to work on the farm a little, just keep doing what your doing and enjoy your time working in the woods.great video 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Farm clean up and mulching great video thanks Chris

Love that mulching! You have a dream company and we all proud of your hard work and dedication.Thank you for the videos,I never miss an episode...
It is interesting how far that corner of the property has come. The moo, moos are chilling. The cows would love that area you cleared the under growth in summer. Thank you and have a great day.
You are a man on a mission. Great video as always. You have a beautiful farm. Take care of yourself.
It’s always good to use equipment every now and then to keep the seals and all lubricated up. They won’t dry out. And also makes good for a video. Be safe God bless.
The cows were watching you prepare their new pasture. 🐮🐮🐮😆
The mulcher does a fantastic job...cleans out the dead wood and saplings....Stay safe Chris
Looking good Chris! Another awesome video, thanks again and God Bless!!!
That little forrest area is definitely going to be healthier.
Lots of nutrients from the mulch fertilizing the ground and less competition for it for the remaining trees.
Their canopies should thicken out now.
Nice forrest husbandry job Chris.
That’s a great look when the under brush is cleared! Nice!
That mulcher does you a good job ✅️
We had a 6600 Ford with a 7' Brush Hog and it would chew up anything the tractor could push over !
WOW !!! That Looks FANTASTIC ! What a difference. It really makes a HUGE difference; Cleaner - open - with dappled sunlight hitting the ground through the tree canopy. Again, that is really pretty ! Great Job !!!
Love the content man. Hey if you align the down tree with the track it won’t surf board out the back center. Let the left or right side do the eating.
Always good to see a little Homework... 👌

Good morning everyone ❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂
Such a impressive result for around a hours worth of work. The equipment you have does a great job!
I think the entire “Letsdig18” community will be super happy for you when you finally get to fulfill your dreams that you have for your property!
Hey Chris, That mulcher is a beast! Looks great!! Thumbs up! Stay safe. Jim

Beautiful for making silvopasture.
Get the grass growing in there and the cattle can graze it...more pasture.
That will let the high winds during storms flow through the trees/woods much better. Plus dry out after storms much better. Cut down on umwanted pests. Nice work. Very clean.
Got to play with a mulcher up here in Maine! I was like a kid with a new toy!
That looks bloody great like that, so much cleaner ,
In Australia, we would affectionally call that mulcher 'a little ripper', 😁
Nice little farm video. Looking good
Howdy Chris! Have a good one,God Bless ya Brother!!!❤😊
Hi Chris awesome mulching job seems a little dangerous stuff coming back at you, it looks awesome.
The mulching head is getting a workout. Hopefully you can get your farm the way you want it pretty quick.
Gee, that mulcher leaves a terrific finish😊
Do you ever let your dogs run with you while you work around the farm?? My dogs LOVE following me around while I'm working on projects or out on the tractor!!!
You've really put an awful lot of work into your farm and it certainly shows 🙂
Love the video on the farm and that Mulching is very Dangerus in wood .
Enjoyed this video bro, it makes a lovely job. Safe travels. Ken..
Forest fire prevention love it explains that to California good job be safe and God bless
That makes the area look great.
Looks good Chris.

Mulcher does a great job of opening up the woods and has the added benefit of reducing the risk of wild fires.
Seasoned wood , nice hot clean fire. Great for chimney's too. Mulcher is awesome. Backhoe firing right off like it was turned off yesterday, care for the equipment is key to your success.
That’s a real good look and then when the cabins are done it will be a great place for whomever to go for a nice stroll!
Looking good, and I bet you will never notice any snakes while using the mulcher.
That's a really useful and effective tool, Chris!
That mulcher sure does a better job than the mulcher on the mini, And faster too.
Nicely done Chris. Your first precommercail thinning job! Sure came out nice!
Looks awesome sir!
Your property looks good with that mulcher I wouldn't do too much as the deer would be able to hide and other small critters
Thanks for throwing us backhoe fans a bone. I’ve got a JD310, the original version.
Hey Chris have you ever thought about taking your mulcher to some of the stumps you get? Seems like it would make them burn better. Just a thought. Great videos really enjoy watching a master at work!
The mulcher does a fine job clearing undergrowth.
Backhoe is OK but there’s nothing like a skid stir and excavator Your woods looks a lot better after you mulched it nice improvement Chris
That mulcher was worth every penny! 💰😉
I am no expert, just a logical observer, and I love the mulcher, love the clearing of the underbrush. I really like hearing you so positive on this approach, and also featuring the local mulching at Beally-Good. Progress toward sustainability is what I try and do, and see you engaging. Go.
Been a hot minute since the JD310e has put in some work.
Dammit Man !! lololol... You had that thing in Beast Mode didn't ya !! lololol... I know, you don't want to be anywhere around that machine when your running it !! lolol... In the hands of a skilled professional, you make it look good
Hi there was just wondering if we could see more footage from the skid steer when you use it. Love seeing you use mulcher attachment close up great work 👍
Hi ya Chris. Love your channel.
that's landscaping with heavy equipment and great results with little cost, should look awesome when leaves start falling
Looks really good after the mulcher.
Looking good!
That's a LOT better mulcher than the one you got to use on the mini. Only problem is, you can't reach real high with that one.
Very good machine and it does make it look great threw there a nice addition to your collection of machines for the work you do 👍😎🇺🇸 NY-37
Job well done 👍🏻
Check out the Baumalight drop saw. I have been very happy with the productivity of this attachment. The hydraulically controlled head is awesome for trimming limbs on trails and cutting down trees.
Man, that mulcher is hungry!
I call those areas on my property the "park look". I need to borrow some of your equipment - LOL!
Chris with all the dust you kick up, I know now what Pig-Pen from Charlie Brown grew up to be, a contractor from NC!🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I saw the bucket switch video and don’t feel like looking for it . How’s the bucket working out ? I know you showed some work with it , but have you been able to do any more ?

My OCD would love having that mulching machine 😂
You should send the backhoe to C&C equipment for a restoration!
It makes the woods pretty but it doesn't leave much browse for the deer
WHEN MY MAN CHRIS SAY LETS MOVE SOME DIRT I JUST GET ALL EXCITED!!!!😂😂....AND THEN WHEN IT'S ONE OF THE OLDER PIECES OF EQUIPMENT IT'S EAVEN BETTER😮😊
🔥they make big rear bumpers for skid steers. your should look into one or even a forestry package since your brush cutting now
You've had at least 3 really bug projects this year plus your equipment additions have been huge!!!
THANKS!
Looks great
Didn’t you buy that backhoe from some widow? Captain Kleeman wants to trade!
When your mulching bigger stuff instead of using your lift arms to control the bite use your curl. It’s a lot more controlled.
I really enjoy the video Chris!,, 👍👊
Love the mulcher just wondering if you can adjust them down to help prevent the choppers from hitting the dirt! Great Job!!!
Was this your Saturday work?
yes last video was digging Beale Good's footings on a Friday
Good morning Chris 👍🆒🌈🎉
That Deere has still got it.
I'd probably sow some rye grass where you mulched, when the leaves fall the rye grass will grow. A little bit of grassing for your cows. Or deer.
Me thinks you be servicing the air cleaner soon.. Wow, is that dry!!
I was wondering about adding a 2 inch thick rubber pad on the bar in front of the mulcher that pushes the trees over. You can see that even the guys that do mulching all the time still damage some of the trees with that bar.
Hopefully, you can now see the forest through [sic] the trees!
Spread the ashes from the burn if you can, as they're a great source of potassium & trace elements, helping root growth & drought tolerance.
Chris, how You have Time, work You on the Farm. Clear the Heap with Tree and Bush falling off! Little Earth Heap make You to a greater and in the Wood Mulch You the Thicket! That mulched is amazing, but jeez I hated to get run over 😢 by it.
you b haven way too much fun with that mulcher lol
