I was inspired by this the other day to lower the top/front cross bar on my d-Bot. Got it down 6cm but the bed rails prevented going further. Currently debating mounting a longer crossbar across (instead of between) the front pillars about half way down. Just having that cross bar down at the bed level is already way better.
Hey, I love this idea and with summer coming up this will definitely be on my list of things to do. I was wondering (since this was posted 4 years ago) if you’ve posted anything else that might have any upgrades or anything that could be more modern if there is such an option with the improvement in tech over these years? :)
Great work guys. I am looking to reduce my number of printers due to moving into a smaller workspace but I'd like to keep up with the workload demands that sometimes pop up. What is the average speed/quality ratio at standard .2 layer quality as most of my projects are functional then the pretty parts I usually post process them. I'm used to printing at 60mms so to be able to triple that would be great especially with a printer that doesn't fling a heavy bed around haha. Cheers. I've already watched the build videos for the most part and once again, great engineering work.
Nice and very interesting project. It should be easy to scale up as I'm looking for a replacement size wise for the cr-10 S5. The S5 really pushes the limits on what you can do moving that big of a bed and I need a better/faster option.
There is a lot of similar project out there. If you search suppliers get in touch with the Voron, RailCore, BlackBox and Jubilee team 👍 (they all have a Discord)
I think it is a very good printer ... but I wanted to consult .... what difference or improvements does it have compared to the BLV MGN or the most modern HEVORT ... thank you very much from Spain
From someone whose never done anything like this before, I’ve watched all your videos before I want to start. It could just be from having no experience, but is it relatively easy with someone with absolutely no knowledge of programming and wiring to do this?
It takes some effort but many novice have taken this project on and been successful. I suggest joining the discord where others can help you but yes it can be done with little to no experience. The goal of the project is to allow anyone to build this style of printer and learn through the process. Just be patient and you can absolutely be successful with it.
Your channel is a gold mine! Don't know why I haven' t found it earlier
I’m looking forward to watching this series. I am a big fan of ferrules, JST and dupont connectors.
O man, I remember pictures of that plastic extrusion haha. My o my how far this project has come

Can't wait for the bill of materials so I can start purchasing. Are y'all still possibly getting with a vendor who will have kits?
We have been trying but with covid it's been hard to find anyone interested.
