Hey Zelda fans, thanks for watching! I don't use this channel anymore, but you can check out my latest videos on my NEW CHANNEL! ua-cam.com/channels/4qdifok_lPJ0WqvKohQkTg.html
When I finally reached this, my thoughts were something like this. "Holy shit. It's finally almost over? I don't want it to end yet! Some temples may have made me mad, but still!"
You know, come to think of it, this is not the final boss's theme. This is the protagonists theme, as it's based off the song that the Link plays. It's easy to think of it as the Malladus' theme but it makes me feel good that the hero has his theme for this fight
I keep finding myself coming back to the Spirit Tracks soundtrack. People can convince all they want but I will always stand by the opinion that Spirit Tracks has the best OST of every Zelda game
Other Zelda Games: Our final bosses are epic, impactful, creative and above all, have the GREATEST music to accompany Spirit Tracks: I’m about to do what’s called a pro gamer move
This game is 12 years old today, and I don't believe we've had a game with an OST as amazing as this. Some pieces may have been better in newer games, sure, but the OST overall being so good and fitting??? Especially with the final boss theme mixing in the main theme of the game AND overworld theme? Please, Nintendo, give us a way to play this legally again outside of the Wii U VC.
This was my first contact with the Zelda franchise back when I was just around 8 years old, and when I reached this part after spending countless hours on this game I swear starting this section hit me like a truck. Not only that, 10 years later now that I've completed many other Zelda games (and my personal favorites being this one and Twilight Princess), each time I remember this game I get reminded of this song in particular and I get really emotional really fast, and when 1:25 reaches I start sobbing like crazy. This game is probably one of the dearest things I hold from my childhood, and I literally can't recommend enough this game for anyone interested in playing it. This song also may be one of (if not) the most underrated songs in the whole franchise. There's so much emotion dumped at you at once it's simply beautiful.
I wholeheartedly agree with you, this song and game is so nostalgic for me I can’t even begin to explain how it makes me feel. This game and Phantom Hourglass were my first two Zelda games and I still treasure them to this day.
I couldn't agree with everything you said more, Spirit Tracks was the first game I ever got 100% on and I loved every moment of. The only two things I will say I very slightly disagree with is instead of Twilight Princess being one of my favorites, it would have to be Skyward Sword and instead of 1:25 making me sob, it's 2:41 purely from the feeling of absolute power to take on anything.
I wish i could say i grew up with this game i never had a 3ds and still dont but if/when i ever get one st will def be one of the first games ill play the ost sounds amazing and the story does too
I played Spirit Tracks when all the Zelda fans around me, like my older brother who beat Phantom Hourglass, said the train was stupid. The game was a blast for me and I liked it far more than PH myself. When I finally reached this end however, it was amazing! Not only was the music great, with a beautiful leitmotif for Full Steam Ahead, but it's Link and Zelda fighting side-by-side, with this great role-reversal of Zelda being the less physically able one as she's been in the Phantoms until now, and Link as the bigger and more combat ready distraction as he's normally been the weaker one who sneaks behind enemies and exploits weaknesses. Even having them share the single health pool was great showing they work as one. Each one taking up a screen and the intensity rising as the fight plays out all for the final blow where you see Zelda running over when she sees Link struggling to help him deliver the final blow. Without a doubt, Zelda in Spirit Tracks is the best companion in the series and is not just relegated to Link's guide, or assistant, but a true partner who's had his back every step of the way, all the way to that finishing blow. Definitely a step up from Ocarina's finale. She definitely made her grandma Tetra proud there. Definitely best handheld Zelda (not counting Breath of the Wild).
something i love to think about is how the director for the music from botw, manaka kataoka, only worked on one zelda game before that (as far as i know). this one. she's an absolute legend. when the overworld theme kicks in i cant help but tear up- this track is so fucking good. this whole game is so good.
I agree with you. This one was my first loz game, and has always been my favourite, Zelda actually has personality in this game and the story is interesting
Exactly! I absolutely love the music mechanics with the lokomos, I'm so sad that they don't (and probably will never knowing the spirit tracks is among the lowest rated zelda games 😞) bring it back
It was the desert guy's song I got stuck on. Turns out I was just playing it half a beat too early, and misinterpreting what the little bubbles meant. When they pop, you're playing it right. If they just shrink into nonexistence, you're doing it wrong.
I dont even have Nostalgia for this game as ive never played it, but somehow the soundtrack holds something special. A feeling i only get when i hear Nintendo ds tracks. It weird and wonderful!
The way that snare drum sounds like steam releasing is IMMACULATE. Zelda fan here, never played this game, but this song still does something to me for some reason.
I know you made this comment a year ago, but I feel like I should tell you that the flute skips whatever note isn’t supposed to be played during the final performance. you just have to play it on tempo
God I come back to this every now and then and find myself admiring the tricks they use in the second half of this piece to make it sound like a train in motion. One thing Nintendo always gets right is the soundtrack, and I wish more people had played this masterpiece of a game, even if just so they could have heard this OST.
i love the hero of winds and his descendant the hero of the rail? tracks? lokomo? idk w/e, both of them deal with music in a way that no other zelda has, hero of the winds as a conductor, and the hero of the rail as a pan flute player
Pulse ex all the instruments have a reason, in the comment section of the full length duet (of this song) on Pulse ex's channel theres someone whos given reasons for all of them
I know I am really late hahahah but I just finished the game on the ds and I immediately fell in love with this last song! For context I stopped playing 10 years ago right before finding the light compass
I just had a revelation… The notes Link plays on the pan flute I have actually heard long before this game was even released. I first heard the tune from within the Pokémon 2000 movie! Look up the theme for Lugia! The five notes Link plays are the exact same as the tune from the movie!
I just want zelda to be the companion in the next game like in spirit tracks NOT the MC. I hope nintendo doesn't bend the knee the vocal minority of zelda fans who picked up the series after BOTW came out and of whom haven't even played the other zelda games.
I technically became a Zelda fan after botw came out, and botw was the first Zelda game I'd heard of, but I played like 5 other Zelda games before botw
Draxen I just don’t want Link to become obsolete, but it would be cool to have Zelda in a more supportive role like we’ve seen in Spirit Tracks. A lot of potential for sure.
The hardest part whas when you had to skip over notes ie fire song desert song and this one took me weeks to get this one to be honest i finished the fire one in the middle of the night

Say what you will about the DS Zeldas. This is one of the most memorable moments in the series. Finally Zelda contributes critically.
When I finally reached this, my thoughts were something like this.
"Holy shit. It's finally almost over? I don't want it to end yet! Some temples may have made me mad, but still!"
I agree
Its the best moment
Yes
This, imho, is the defining moment when Zelda stopped being a goal, and started being a character.
the feeling when you finally do the flute thing right and the sound it makes is the most treasured feeling i have ever felt.
IKR ITS IMPOSSIBLE I SWEAR especially with the damn DS and it’s shitty mic
I did it 2nd try
I legit popped the cartridge out because the new 3ds xl’s mic can’t do this part.
I popped it in the DS lite and did it first try.
I agree
If you're on 3ds, hold the x button, instead of your mic.
@@milkfish1605 it took a lot of attempts but I managed to do it on new 3ds xl

Malladus: Why do I hear boss music?
It felt like the music right before the duet was more akin to his theme.
If Wind Walker is peak Zelda game play, Spirit Tracks is peak Zelda self-contained story! This song is hype final boss masterclass!
I keep finding myself coming back to the Spirit Tracks soundtrack. People can convince all they want but I will always stand by the opinion that Spirit Tracks has the best OST of every Zelda game
I've got to agree, it's either spirit tracks, twilight princess or wind waker. So many good songs from spirit tracks

One of my favorite zelda's song

Fire sand and zeldas took me weeks XD
For me, it was Embrose, the dude with the drums that was the hardest for me. Also, I never knew that little tidbit regarding the note bubbles.

I dont remember ever having too much of an issue with the flute songs ime
I dont even have Nostalgia for this game as ive never played it, but somehow the soundtrack holds something special. A feeling i only get when i hear Nintendo ds tracks. It weird and wonderful!
A version with the flute? You are as much a legend as the melody itself!
This moment when youre normally so cold and turn to a crying weeb while listening to such a masterpiece.
It is really well described
Hands down the best final boss music out of any Zelda game imo
Final boss themes that include the hero/ main theme in them are always peak.
The way that snare drum sounds like steam releasing is IMMACULATE.
Zelda fan here, never played this game, but this song still does something to me for some reason.
Play it, you won’t regret it
theres no reason that the final duet had to slap as hard as it does but it DOES
We need another final boss with these feels 😭
Thanks for uploading ^-^ I love all the pan flute tracks in this ost
this will always be my favorite moment in loz game history
How did you actually get perfect performances for the spirit flute? Because only something like a TASbot could do that!
I know you made this comment a year ago, but I feel like I should tell you that the flute skips whatever note isn’t supposed to be played during the final performance. you just have to play it on tempo

This theme is very beautiful and mystical, I like it a lot ..
For the love of god, I'm taking it upon my self to make a legend of Zelda trailer, for the entire trailer. With a remix of ALL theme songs.
Sounds cool. Could you tell me when it's done?
Are you done yet?
did you finish?
And they say it’ll be a “big thing” if you get to play as Zelda in botw 2.
