Cat skiing...so much fun. Pow is a different animal for sure. Fore/aft balance is extremely important. Skiing in the hooch puts those knee ligaments in a compromised position. An extension/retraction turn is optimal in powder. Similar to bouncing lightly on a trampoline while turning the feet under a stable upper body. Hope that knee healed up well.

ACL injuries are the worst. Tore mine and walked on it for 4 years until it finally just gave out. 14 years later and still don't have full mobility in that knee. Hope yours is healing nicely!

Thanks so much for sharing your story. I tore my ACL,MCL, muscles & small fracture on tibia skiing on icy wet snow a few weeks. Waiting on a feed areas to heal before my ACL surgery. Not fun but I’m glad to see you were in good spirits through the whole process. Hopefully I can maintain good spirits for the next few months like you.

Be careful after you have torn your ACL once. I have now torn mine twice and I have no idea how I tore it the second time. Good Luck with your recovery. IT SUCKS!!
@Isa Smedberg Yes I did. I've had a total of 9 knee surgeries on my left knee. The first surgery was the first time I tore my ACL.
