lore time: so basically, the surface of the 'earth' was scoured clean and all life was wiped away but deep beneath the surface, in the core there grew plant life. A colossal tree that extended throughout. within the roots and leaves of the tree there flowed 'Thyst' a fluid that altered reality, a river that ran from both top and bottom of the great tree. This tree grew so large that pockets within began to develop, and ecosystems flourished. Floors they became known as. And in these floors more and more life developed and changed in response to Thyst. And in turn, Thyst changed too, growing stronger until it could alter time itself. The floors would war between themselves until a governing entity known as the Coalition stepped in and restored order, distilling the floors down to twelve and controlling the resources within to craft great machinery to further themselves. Conflict could exist but every hour the damage done on one floor would be reset and repaired. The Coalition would freeze time and do what they could, travelling down the Clockspire, suppressing change. Not everyone was happy. A resistance grew from three who wielded Thyst. A group named the CogHound, who would travel the machinery and gears of the Clockspire and rebel. Thus was born the legend of the Clockspire Coghound.
