We had already begun in a similar, but slower moving project here when I discovered Colette's channel and, curious as to how Bealtane Cottage came about, I ordered the book. We have all read it, even my 8 year old grandchild is now half way through it. It gave us the push we needed to keep going and continues to support and encourages us. Our copy is a little dog dared now, the mark of a loved and constantly re-read book.
Start, plant and let nature do what it wishes to do - to go back to offering beautiful, peaceful and truly natural surroundings to all creature and plants.
I take grit pleasure from reading this but especially the fact that your grandchild is now reading and enjoying my book! All I ever wanted from this land was to spread the joy and inspiration for everyone to plant and regard mother us as secret!

I do so admire you. I left where l had lived for 75 years and went to a country whose language l am still learning. I was lucky in that the house l bought was pretty much in tact. But the garden l am working with is a joyful challenge. It’s been 4 years and never been happier.
I am 40 and thoroughly enjoy the patio garden I'm working on. It is not on a grand scale.
I say this to say that at any age, on any scale, a garden is a healer. 💆🏾♀️👩🏾🌾🙏🏾

I love the blue (oil) lamp in your opening scene … such a beautiful color. And, might I ask - what is the name of the tall wispy, flower (lavender color) that envelops your charming wooden bench? Where the plump bumble bee seeks the nectar? I must plant the same around my back garden bench.

I recently made a move from the hustle and bustle of a city career to a small home in a rural country hamlet. Although the energies of the Canadian Prairies are vastly different from those of Ireland, I can certainly relate to the sense of healing and tranquility rural living offers, a world away from corporate dependencies. You and Bealtaine Cottage provided me with much of the strength and vision I needed to get to this place. Thank you and congratulations on 20 years of inspiration for so many of us!
Life is bought a very short journey. I believe it is important to follow your own chosen path as best one can.

i feel like i am in heaven when i see your garden, so wonderfully wild and orderly and natural, there must be so many elementals there in that home, i feel the magic coming through the screen. i love trees but they are cutting them down ancient woodlands where i am, and in Wales, Scotland, Canada which is so heartbreaking as they are the lungs of the planet. My local woods have been closed to the public which was enjoyed by many, as they are with the pine forests in Wales, now just a wasteland
How sad that this has happened! People need to come together and oppose with all there might and energy these destructive forces!
I loved hearing you tell your story. I found it cathartic, almost like I lived it too. When you know you need out of a situation, that you will find a way of making the dream a reality. It makes wan appreciate everything because you pour your heart and soul into the land and home. I love how you work with nature and respect mother nature. I used to live in a cottage for 13 years and I use to sense the previous owners. 2 brothers and a sister. I could sense the sister the most and sometimes one of the brothers. I remember when I'd be on my own that I would say to the sister, Daisy is it ok if I make myself a cup of tea. Almost like it was still their home. I definitely had a strong psychic connection when I was younger.
I think what you are doing is incredible and inspiring ❤

What a beautiful story! It makes be so proud and appreciative of my little woodland backyard garden. It was 22 years ago that I turned what was a big mud puddle that was too shady for grass into the beginning of what is now a woodland garden that is so peaceful and filled with plants, birds and creatures. Instead of looking at it with a critical eye and seeing what needs to be done, your video has given me pause to celebrate the transformation that has occurred slowly over many years. Turning a piece of lackluster land into a beautiful landscape is something many people could not get a grip on. This is proof that if anyone wants something of this magnitude one will need to work hard at making it work. The fact that Bealtaine Cottage did not look this way overnight proves that one does not need to be a millionaire to achieve this.
It was and is the best thing I’ve ever done in my entire life! Years with no money and lots of debt but seeing the woodland come to life negated all the stress! I have fallen in love with mother Earth!

Widely observed throughout Ireland, Scotland, Isle of Man , while May Day celebration occurr throughout Europe. Lighting fire on hill as one of oldest traditions in Ireland. Festival included activities such as sporting competitions , poetry , singing, driving cattle between two bonfires to bless them as they were moved to their summer pastures. I am so sorry to be little long but reading and writing both are great ways to improve our English as none native speakers. I hope you become friends , learn a lot from your knowledge. Yes please, Colette, speak about reincarnation. I would be very interested to hear your thoughts on the subject. I have studied it for decades, and I have had a past life regression with a knowledgeable and experienced practitioner several years ago. I saw the connectedness of all things, and I believe that we are all just beings of energy...we incarnate back to the Source as energy whether it be in corporeal form or pure particles. We never die. We continue to create in some form or another.... It's far more complex that I am able to explain here, but as we create, we live on.
