I have one and have used it several times now. I can't detect any effect. the mosquitoes fly directly over the device. I think the device isn't getting hot enough. very disappointing

Is there a built in battery,or does it have to be plugged in to work?If it does have a battery how long will it last?How long does the repellent mats last,and cost? Never seen these before,we sit outside when we can.

This one has to be plugged in the a wall or battery pack. Nitecore sells others that are battery like the emr10 or emr20. The emr10 I have and like it it last about i hours on a charge

Repellent Matt's from both nitecore and thermacell work. The nitecore pads burn for 6 hours and the thermecell pads burn for 4 hours. Thermacell pads are available at and Walmart, sporting goods store etc. Nitecore pads are only online at the nitcore store so far.
