Greg, can you please articulate and explain the multiple Technical Fouls sequence and foul shots adjudication if you were calling that game from New Mexico? Thank you.
Greg, if the ball goes out of bounds in the front court, and directly after either team calls a timeout, do you administer the throw in at the spot where the ball went out of bounds or at one of the 4 designated spots?
Out of balance violations are always result in a throw-in at the spot the ball went out of bounds. A team requesting and being granted a timeout has no bearing on that
thank you Greg. really good content. during our association meeting we used one of your clips and subsequent discussion as part of the meeting. those in the know knew who you were!!!
@BetterOfficials last Monday's meeting topics was Fights. How to handle them, process the maylee, adjuticate many technical fouls. I should have taken note as to which specific clip. I'll ask our association head.
Play#2 - Agree with all your comments and is great example seeing all the mechanics we should use THIS YEAR...BUT another reason this is incorrect call besides facts you pointed out is he also WAS NOT the 1st to touch when he came back in bounds.
so with the kid bouncing ball of the other player? T? Same play... 2 techs on 23,, 1 on white ... 2 free throws 1 of the technicals ,,, the 2 shots for flagrant,, and white with ball at one of the 4 marked throw ins? ty
Tough to know how it was ultimately resolved. It would be in order of occurrence though. The penalty for the live ball foul (common, intentional, or flagrant) and then the administration of technical fouls, with a division line throw-in to the team offended last.
First/last play 26:23 if the only point is when does the player gain control it seems to me like the following play would be legal. A1 does a throw in front court to A2 that is in back court. A2 catches the ball (so gains control in back court) -> legal play ? Definitely seems not legit in Europe.
As soon as the offensive kid with the ball hits him in the head with the ball I would have called a Flagrant right away. Which would have eliminated the plays after. Just my opinion.

That screener actually made me laugh out loud. Great plays, Greg!

Travel at 8:58? Also live and die by that is center's goaltending call all day
I deemed that 2nd bat of the ball as a dribble. He never picks the ball up and continues the dribble with his left hand after the 2nd bat of the ball.
Looks like we are taking "Black Friday" off?

Illegal (apparently) using Fiba rules.
NFHS Basketball Rules: Legal
Over and back.
Play 4 "Basket Interference"... does anyone else have a travel beforehand?
Many do.

Correct! Hindsight is always 20/20 but that seems pretty obvious
And its also why you call the foul next. You don't let plays correct itself, since then players start correcting themselves
Ball didn’t go backcourt
