As a bird lover, this made me cry. How can you leave an innocent bird in the trash. You know they're fragile animals and you can't just leave it alone. I have no words for this.
Their mothers should throw them to die in trash too
I want to find the person that did that, and put them in the trash in a locked cage. Its insane that people can be like that to animals.
And budgies are very social, they were alone. That's why one budgie was super comfy in the girl's hands.

@@OnlyPKG I have like 7 or idk birds but 3 of them passed away and were taken abck to the past owner. Tho I still have some couples that are making eggs and the other egg successfully hatched :)

I am a bird owner (4 budgies and 2 lovebirds to be exact) and it's very cruel for them to let a bird die from sickness, or are left in the trash. Like, what did they even do to them in the first place, BITE THEM!? Honestly, I think we should stop this now.

Disgusting! How can people be so cruel to these poor little birds? The pet stores have a lot to answer for but it won't happen unfortunately. They'll deny all knowledge! And as for the hoarders, they should be fined and banned from owning any pets for life!!

Probably the management. Honestly the minimum wage teenager/young person working there Probably didn't do it. Has to be a business call from a manager or owner.
I always shake my head when people "call out" employees for things that happen, like they had a choice, or even knew what went on. I remember working jobs like that in high school and college. When immoral shit happens, its rarely the customer facing cashier/employee that does that, or even knows. Cant tell you how many people would jump down my throat about shit I didn't do, and had no idea about. Up to and including a group of protesting hippies that threw things at us over something our corporate hq did.
Becareful on who you start crusading against.

I literally ended up crying to this. Pet shops here don't care at all. There was that one pet shop that had parakeets, and all of them had mites and the other half were lying dead on the cages- We confronted them many times and nothing-- And in another one they threw a sick parakeet in a trash bin in front of me. At this point I wish humanity didn't exist. No creature deserves this sick treatment. They are just like us. They deserve love and care and family and I am really glad people who try to help all of these animals exist.

bro like just take the parakeet to the vet and get it treatment they didn't need to throw it away and after it gets treatment they could bring it back to the pet shop

I guarantee it was a customer and not an employee that threw that bird away. I worked at Petsmart and we would find abandoned animals at our front door, back door, even in our dumpsters. I once found a Rottweiler puppy in a dora the explorer plastic container that was thrown in our dumpster.
Hi, used to work at a small family pet store! This is unconscionable behavior on a chain pet store's part, the one that was found in a box with several bowls however was probably forgotten about with the speed that they are forced to work at within these stores, and was likely an accident. That was a shipping box from the breeder. There is NO reason to throw away a live bird however, and the ones found in the carrying boxes were absolutely abandoned, since most stores won't take live animal returns.
those stores obviously need to put cameras around their dumpsters to bring these abusers to face justice
This comment makes me wonder if some customer tried to return the bird for whatever reason and the store refused so the customer just tossed it in the trash ? Either way whatever the case it's so wrong on the part of whoever did this. It makes me wanna go thru the trash at the local pet store to see if I find any animals to take in 😯like what if this goes on way more than we realize and there's all kind of animals in the trash who need help
@@crysvicious if you watched in his previous "terrible things people did to their budgies" video we saw a case where a man bought a budgie but then wanted to return it and obviously the store didn't take it so he threw the box the bird was in to the ground and continuously stomped on it... I cried so hard.. how can people be so cruel..
I honestly do not believe that was by accident. If one even so makes a noise when touching that box it was in, they make a "chirping" noise to signal "go away". Not a happy chirp, but a warning chirp. Whoever threw away that box absolutely knew that bird was in there!

@@berrythebudgie9004 a lot of employees actually do care but are unable to help because of their shitty managers’ rules, in certain stores employees are literally not allowed to help neglected/dying animals and improve their enclosures and are told to dump them or kill them themselves. They are also not allowed to discourage customers from buying unsuitable and harmful products for their pets bc they don’t want to lose money. They are also known not to hire anyone that knows a lot about animal care in fear of being exposed for neglect and abuse even though they are already being exposed a hundred times and often it’s by customers and dumpster divers.

We recently visited a pet store, and this video makes me wanna jump into a dumpster to look for any live animals that were thrown in there. Poor birds :(

It breaks my heart seeing people do this. these sweet budgies don’t deserve any of this and I hate how misunderstood and mistreated many birds are each day and I hope to see one day that we can live in a society where nothing like this happens animals aren’t objects and should be treated with love.
I just can’t imagine how some people are just like this at all😔💔💔. Like some of them are saved but most of them couldn’t. Thanks to those heroes out there saving this little feather friends.
I own 2 birds that are budgies and I am a bird lover too and..this made me cry knowing that people do this to little innocent birds that don’t deserve to be treated that way I honestly don’t know why people think it’s ok to do that they might be just birds but they have a life too
I genuinely think that my rescue budgie Indie may have been one of the ones released in Texas. It's a big state, so maybe not, but it's a possibility. My mom found her just walking down the street in our neighborhood, and managed to catch her. We tried to find the owner, but were never able to, which made me believe that she had been released. She unfortunately died recently, which has been really hard, but it is so heartbreaking that so many others are treated this way!
i cannot understand how idiotic one must be to release a _pet_ bird. the only natural habitat a domesticated pet bird has, is with a person in their house.

As somebody who worked for PetSmart from 2007 to 2011, that has to either be a recent thing or it's some bad apples somewhere. Nobody I knew that works there would have thrown away live animals and one of the managers there actually let me take a $15 zebra Finch to an exotic bird hospital because it needed it.

Today while i was cleaning the avm windows i saw a sick pigeon. It was so cold in the morning so poor thing was probably having a hypothermia so i gently picked him up, took off my beanie and put him inside. Suprisingly he didnt even try to run away from me. it was seeking a helping hand. Like 15, 25 minutes later on the way to him he flew away. I was happy because he had recovered, I was sad because I did not have the opportunity to pet him :p
I had budgies as a kid and nobody taught me how to properly handle them when I was young so I basically abused them. I had to learn the hard way but now whenever I think about it it makes me very sad and I cry.
When I was 6 someone I knew just gave my family a budgie but it removed the feeder and escaped one day, now that I think about it I don’t blame it because it was probably lonely and no one interacted with it

This made me so sad , I live in Germany and i have two budgies in January I worked for two weeks in a pet store and there was a budgie and she can’t fly the people always asked me if the bird is ill and the boss of the pet store say that the bird is going to die if nobody buys her . And since February she live with a new budgie friend at the house of my friend as a birthday present for me . I’m so happy to have friends that save this cute birds
I have a parrot, but if i found a parakeet in a trash box, I'D LOVE HIM FOREVER.
I got my first budgie from PetSmart since I didn’t have a breeder nearby at the time. The one I got was sick. I didn’t know, I was a new bird owner. My budgie only lived a week before dying. It’s appalling how these stores treat their animals like objects.

I have a pair of budgies, and two canaries and zebra finches and this video make me confirm of how cruel people can be, my lovely birds live happy with me and if I found birds in the trash one day I will rescue them, they suffer every time people do that to them, please protects budgies and other types of birds from these abusers
I have two Budgies of my own, I love them dearly and take care of them so much. It angers me how people mistreat Budgies let a lone any bird as innocent as they are, how can they even do such a thing to these amazing beings. They are so loving once you get to know them and they get to know you, like a family.
This needs to stop, NOW! Let's put some focus on smaller pets and get them some help. Their lives matter too. Not just dogs and cats.

One time I saw someone releasing a budgie in person. I tried to get to the budgie, but I couldn’t find it. Later I discovered it on the ground, and.. it’s wings were clipped. It’s wings were clipped.
That budgie is now named Kevin, and he’s living a good life with me.

OMG, and I thought our pet store, where I work in, is abusive, because we don't give our parrots as much veggies, natural perches (they have one for each cage) and toys as we should, and the vet comes only once a week...
:o But this is insane, dude. When I notice even a slightest sign of parakeets being sick, I immediately seek help for them and my manager agrees 100% with me, and we put all our birds into quarantine in the same cage they're being kept, not to put them into more stress. We even put a large corrector-written-on-a-glass sign "QUARANTINE", so that people don't ask for the birds to buy them. But throwing live budgies into the dumpster... OMG.
SO HORRIBLE I COULDNT EVEN WATSH THIS soo sad after i watched it i was so angry that they do that to the poor little birds!!! What have they done to people they do nothing their harmless

In our town we are lucky because the owner of pet store is very nice young man who adore all animals. His parents are vets and have clinic in the next building about 50m. He brings sick animals to his parents to heal them. They adore budgies and cockotails and in the most cases they adopt them when they get better. I adopted 1 budgie too before 8 years. Thanks god for good owner of pet shop.
Budgies are just such innocent and cute little creatures. When my buggies mated, I nearly fainted of how cute the little babies were. Not just cute, they are great friends. How could people do this too them?
Reminds me of the little Ilios. We had visited this petshop looking for a budgie and there were three budgies. One of them had missing feathers and looked sick we got one of them. We named her Ilios which means "sun" in Greek. Soon I found out that her one nail along with a toe was missing and her beak was mishaped making it extremely difficult for her to feed. Ilios was so sweet, friendly and such a delicate budgie. It was obvious that it had been mistreated in the petshop and was quite sick. We took her to wet, it was said that she was ill and there was too little hope that she would survive. We gave her the medicine the vet gave and loved her and tried to be there for her in her last days. One day we found her helplessly shaking, it was clear that these were her last moments, as tears running down my face I tried to be there for her and calm her. We lost her that night, not even got a chance to rush to a vet.
I still cry when I remember her, how sweet and how love deprived she had been. She was abused in ways we know not of. Perhaps she was forced to breed many times, perhaps deprived of the most basic necessities. Please love your little friends while they are still with you.
Afterwards I visited the petshop and saw that most birds were sick, put outside in stinking, small cages when wind was blowing hard, and many did not have water and seeds. That shop and many more should be shut down... these poor creatures do not deserve such appaling treatments!

My nephew lived in the Dallas area there was a huge nest of budgies a block from his house. They build their nests around power line transformers for warmth. They have been there for 20 years
I’ve had the same experience once i was a kid my parents bought me a parakeet from Pet Store and they made us pay 200 dollars and he was sick the next day we found out we went back and complained ,they gave us Medicean and it made the poor soul die
At the pet store where I live, they're really bad at clipping the wings of budgies and parakeets, they either clip there skin, or don't clip them at all (PS I don't get my budgies wings clipped at all because I think it's cruel)

Sameth8ng happend to me. There was a budgie on the side of the road throwed out by the woman on the other side of the street. When we found the bird. It was very very weak. We fed her and gave her some water. She is way better now. As I'm typing this. She's on my shoulder right now

honestly, when you said “even in pet stores” honestly really true. when we went to the pet store to pick our baby parrot and 3 budgies, they were good i was looking at small birds and saw a dead one. it seemed like the owners did not care. when they came they just got him and threw him out somewhere as its trash.. this is awful honestly.
Sadly a lot of budgies in pet stores are in over crowded small cages and they can be in those cages for months until they have been sold. Its not just budgies but fish as well.
Can I give some well deserved praise to Pets Domain, Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia. We are regular customers and have bought budgies from them before. They had a little blue grey english budgie out the back unwell in a cage on his own, he wasn’t picking up. We offered to buy him and give him a chance. They were going to get their vet nurse employee to take him to the vet but gave him to us for free. Poor little guy was traumatised by a very, very severe wing clip done by the breeder, he also had a head injury. We took him to the vet, advice electrolytes in his water, special rescue liquid food, warmth, tiny dose of painkiller. He survived, now called Munchkin and recovering although I doubt his damaged wing will ever recover. He’s taming down, now has a “nurse” bird companion,a gentle lady called Possum. The staff at Pet’s Domain ask after him whenever we visit and are thrilled he’s improving.
Thanks for making this, just by watching this video it has made me think of how I can help my community with tropical birds.

This is painful to watch. I love my budgie with all my heart. I almost cried watching this. Now I want to go to my local petsmart and check for any budgies.
And I have a few questions:
Is it OKAY to have just one budgie without another friend?
And is it okay to bring my budgie roaming around my dinner table while me and my family eats and he looks around for some seeds we hide from him scattered around the table?

I only have one budgie. I did it intentionally to allow me and the bird to be close. Yes you absolutely can have just one bird you just have to be willing to spend a lot of time with your bird. Because at the end of the day you are all that bird has.

I love my birds more than the world could know. Seeing this, it made me cry a LOT. It really hurts my feelings how they treat these poor buddies..For the first clip.. LIKE CAN'T YOU JUST GIVE AWAY THE BUDGIES INSTEAD OF THROWING THEM AWAY, IT'S NOT THAT HARD! For the second clip.. The owner should have either gotten them a bigger place, or just given them away. Why keep a budgie when you can't care for it?! For the third clip.. This person is a horrible person, he should have googled to see if domesticated budgies can survive in the wild. My budgies are free flighted, so that's ok, but these poor budgies, they probably dont know whats going on..Poor budgies

That sucks. When I buried my dead birds, I got sad because it was raining and cold outside and I wanted to take them in and out of the ground and wrap them up in a blanket and pet their little heads as if they were alive. People throw living birds away??!
I have 2 budgies, And seeing budgies in the trash and having horrible people caring for them really hurts my heart, I hope alot of these types of people go behind bars for a long time

LITTERALY yesterday i found a yellow and green budgie IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD we found her and she was very very weak we fed her and she was really and i mean REALLY hungry she ate 2 spoon fulls of seed mix,we actually have two other budgies named mordecai and avocado. We put her inside of their cage and they bit her head so we just bought another cage! She is well and energetic. We named her lemon

As I’m watching this my two budgies are napping in their cage next to me. How can people do this to such precious, amazing animals? My birdies give me so much happiness, this just breaks my heart
A sad sadistic lonely ending for such affectionate intelligent feathered people.
I hope the people that did these things get hit with karma for the cruel and disgusting things they did. I'm simply appalled! I know people say you shouldn't get your budgies at stores like Pet Co, but I'm glad I got my budgie (Binxx) from there before he was abused like that! I love Binxx so much and can't even imagine ever doing anything like that to him! 😥
As a bird owner, I couldn’t hold my tears. I had to cry. Why do birds live in such a cruel world? I think they should have their own galaxy and earth where it’s perfect for them but no.
It's so sad! As a fellow bird owner, I just cannot fathom doing this to our birds! Birds are so intelligent, people don't even know!
I have 3 little budgies , and I love them dearly , I could never do this , all birds / Animals great and Small are precious and need to be treated with respect , not in this disgusting manner . 😭😭😭

Me and my family found a scared budgie whit no feathers on his chest he was waiting in our balcony door for somebody to open the door and hopefully help him we were able to treat him with food water and a house now he lifes happily at our house but he is still recovering some of hes feathers qnd all we can hope for is that he lifes the rest of hes time as a happy bird on a warm place to stay
I took care of multiple birds in past, and I cried so badly when my budgie died between my hands.. it makes sad when I see people throw their birds away like a toy.
