Considering how out of nowhere this can seem to come up, I always felt like Chrom was just riding the victory high from defeating Grangrel and decided to get a lady. On the other hand, if it worked out how the players wanted it to, I imagine Avatar/MU/Robin to be hiding around a corner somewhere going "Just as planned!" with a smirk after this scene.
For me it was Sully and I had lost Sully in a previous battle, I didn’t now she retired instead of dying, so the first words that came out of my mouth when she came on screen were “OH SHIT! SULLY’S A ZOMBIE”
Hunter Nightblood Agreed. The localization butchered Chrom and Sumia's S Support HORRIBLY, which is realy weird since the localization is generally fantastic for most of the game. Look up a translation of the Japanese version of that support, and see how different it is. No attempts at cheap overused pie jokes AT ALL. Turning a marriage proposal into a freaking joke... what where they thinking? (Note: I'm not a weeb, I genuiniely prefer the English version for pretty much everything else but that support and Donny/Olivia's ones. [Where they turned a reference to Naesala and Leanne into a generic Swan Princess story, ugh.])
About "canon" pairings (mind the quote marks)... I think it's pretty much obvious it depends on which gender your avatar is. If you have a male Avantar, then it's Sumia. If you have a female Avatar, then it's she herself.

If they wanted to show what is possible with the game, they would have shown the Avatar or nameless maiden instead. If you have played through the game, you will see that there was an obvious push towards ChromxSumia over other Chrom pairings by the developers.
I paired my avatar up with Chrom and got the normal S-support before Chapter 11. It is more dramatic for them to get to S-Support here, but I like the normal S conversation and the "not now, but soon" theme much better. But everybody's proposal here is adorable. Sully's, especially.
Its seemed like she was suppose to be original main wife for chrom and in turn main mother for Lucina but nintedo noted that would be repeating Marth and his wife all over again so they removed it, in all honesty besides fem robin (and how you customized her) Lucina resemble Cordelia a lot, i dont really apporve of cordelia as a mother though, i like her i honestly do, but her fixed mind on chrom was the worse thing intellegent systems could have done, i like stahls support with her because while its noted she originally loved chrom, she moved on from chrom and stahl had originally loved her from the start, fredrick and hers is cute but i can't help but feel for Severa when it seems both parents value chrom so greatly (even though fredrick is best dad, just saying), if she wasnt to be his main wife they should have still given them a support, but one where she stops idolizing him and see's that he's just like everyone else, and if they could only A support like Flavia and Basilo (I wish they could S suppot) then it should have ended with Cordelia finally getting over her love sickness, and instead while always holding chrom as her first love seeing him as a respectful captain and a great friend and king she could gladly serve and value. Again not hating on Cordelia, besides someone note issues i can see some of the positives of her person
I think her love for Chrom is sort if obsessive, overly dependent and not too healthy. The support convos usually give the characters a chance to grow, learn and develop. In Cordelias case her issues are her guilt, isolation, perfectionism and her obsessing over chrom. So if she could actually marry the guy the opportunity for her character development that lies in marrying someone would be taken away. Of course there are stories out there that have a similar outset where the character does get whoever they obsessed over, overly idolised and depended on which are great, but they have more than ten minutes worth of reading to actually handle the characters and themes. I really like Cordelia and I do feel sorry for her, but I'd rather see her go on a journey of getting over someone that's out of reach than a story that does not really have her or her outlook change. In fact, I probably like her as much exactly because of the "getting over getting happy" type of stories she goes through. I prefer them personally over other types of romances and i can emphasise with her struggle, seeing it pay off and giving her life a much needed push as well as happiness always makes me happy. ^^
IS constantly shoving ChromxSumia down your throat is my biggest complaint with this game. edit: After realizing that Sumia is the only one with a cutscene before the proposal, well... I hope she has fun as a bench warmer for all eternity. And I know who Olivia is marrying on my next playthrough. I don't hate Sumia, I just hate the ship.
well male Robin is canon, and judging from the cutscenes and portrait SumiaxChrom is canon, and F!Robin its up in the air, can be anyone (but from lucina perspective it may not, see her judgment and Fates apareance).
Well. Honestly. If you play as a FRobin, the whole game becomes an epic war torn romance with a guy who’s very interested in you. Cue cutscene of you killing him and he says it’s okay. Cue cutscene of you, as a straight and cute woman, the first moment you see when you open you’re eyes is the beautiful and Handsome face of Chrom. With his gently smile, and silly dialogue. Cue the romcom fireworks now. Like. No memory, the first thing you see is a hot and caring guy. That’s like shipping status instantly.
Pretty sure that the true canon is Sumia x Chrom, and Robin x Lucina. But if you're playing the alternate universe where Robin is a girl, then that routes canon is Robin x Chrom. The game seems to have been explicitly written to have extra weight in only those specific circumstances. Also, Sumia is literally in the intro cinematic holding baby Lucina, so that's basically screaming that's canon. Can you believe, that I went into the game not knowing what S Ranking someone would do, and ended up marrying Chrom's little sister, and having a GLORIOUSLY disfunctional family, culminating in my sadistic daughter marrying (and torturing) a poor innocent bunny? Good times, would have a disfunctional family again.
I just want to point out the difference between Chrom x Robins S support and automarriage. In the ssupport, Robin tells Chrom that after the war, they'll live their lives together. But in automarriage, Chrom tells her that instead. I enjoyed the auto marriage bcuz in a way, its another bit of notable character development we see of Chrom in comparison to before chapter 11 and after. Other thoughts: this pairing did it for me bcuz he calls her his best friend in his proposal. And those words are powerful to me, personally
Other random thoughts. Sumia's 'youre the brightest thing to me' was sweet. Sullys automarriage convo is super underrated and really well done. And Maribelle was just strange to me considering how pissed her usual profile looks like lmfao. Also her love for Lissa.
Chrom and Robin is the correct one. I see that since you can create a character many people choose male to represent themselves, but female Robin is the correct one. It's so much better! I'm glad I chose her on my playthrough.
I mean, if I play as female Robin, then I would definitely ship her with Chrom. Their chemistry is something else to behold, and their supports are so goddamn hilarious. If I'm playing male Robin though, I always pair characters up by their fastest supports (leaving Lon'qu by himself), except Lucina (whom I marry, sorrynotsorryChrom) and Laurent (whom I pair up with Morgan)
My most cannon list of chroms wives 1. Sumia (Only cause its basically shoved in our faces) 2 Robin (My favorite and usual ahip after i got all the supports, but only because it adds to the bad future and plot, i mean Avatar kills her true love, her daughter and her friends return in time to try and stop/save her and everyone, ending if you choice to sacrifice yourself seems more painful in the end for chrom, also why male robin is usually with Lucina or lissa) 3. Maribella (cause she's lissa's best friend, but not ususally done cause i think her and chrom could be more brother sister in relationship) 4 Sully 5. Olivia (I love Olivia honestly i do, but she feels shoe horned in the romance aspect with chrom)
I agree with Sumia. After all, Marth did marry a Pegasus knight so it's fate that brought them together. While for Robyn, they are so goddamn cute together.

Lucky for you, chromia isnt canon. Just heavily implied he'll be attracted to her faster than he will the other chicks. IS shoved her existence under a rug and never claimed her as canon in titles after this one. But the biggest argument no one can trump is called "outrealms" hence every doable pair in game is canon in some realm!
Good Doggy Bruh, I did the same! But I ended up pairing M!Morgan and Cynthia in my female playthrough so it feels like they're mini versions of Chrom and Sumia.
Xekken Not as a prim, courtly proper queen, of course not. But Wonder Woman and Xena are both princesses, and they kick loads of arse; make either of them a little mouthier and you've basically got Sully. It's not uncommon for a stereotypical Scottish or Viking clan in media to have coarse, no-nonsense matrons looking after them. Heck, even in chess, the queen is the most powerful and intimidating piece. And then there's her ending with Chrom: "After Grima’s defeat, Chrom was officially welcomed as Ylisse’s new Exalt. Queen Sully rode far and wide on his behalf, her gallant and radiant figure the envy of women everywhere." So instead of being merely a support for Chrom as he governs, she shares the burden and rides out among the people to be just as much an inspiring presence as Chrom is. I don't know. I have nothing against the other pairings (except Sumia's endless pies supports, but that's a nitpick; her version of this scene is nice) and I can even see the appeal of them all, but I'm just a sucker for childhood friends, especially when one of them is a tomboy harboring secret feelings --and according to Chrom and Sully's S-support, she has been.
Background NPC not that I say a strong woman can't be a queen. Heck Lucina is my favourite queen/princess/excalt so far. I'm saying Sully lack something to feel like a queen/princess. Not because she is rude. There are a lot of queens in stories are rude and quite good. And looks ofcourse isn't a case. But she really lack things I quite discribe. Class? I really can't describe. Anyway as long as the King/Prince married her. Thats a queen/princess

I believe you that the original is much better (it'd have to be) and usually I go for the peg knights first, but I just can't stomach (pun intended) the botched localized version. I paired my Avatar with her instead first playthrough and was much happier with their supports. :D As for Queen Sully, shrug, to each his/her own.
If you got Chrom to marry someone before he decides the scene will still play. The funny thing is she says "The leader and the tactician? That's not gonna work out Chrom" and then I'm like WTF???? (I was using a mod at the time)
I love how Chrom x Robin and Chrom x Sumia both play out. While Sumia's is practically Canon, Robin's is cute in a way that beats the S support really. Not that I have a problem with it, it's rather funny watching how flustered both Chrom and Robin are in admitting their feelings toward the big marriage step. But Robin x Chrom in this event is so heart warming and cute, rather than funny. Plus Robin doesn't even hesitate to admit that she'd marry him, her love. Also that he is someone precious to her in a sense that losing him would be too high of a price to pay for her.
I'd like to think that while Fem Robin and Chrom's S support is him confessing his love to her, this is the point where they decide to follow their hearts after the war and get married.
I only had this scene once, ONCE, with my female unit and that was when I first played this game (meaning, I have no idea how I did it). I tried to do it again, but I never can!! XD TT^TT

@@michaelsubroto5563 Maybe that's just because they didn't want to bother having to re-animate the scenes repeatedly, especially for a customizable character like Robin. These kinds of details take time, after all, and the time and resources needed to animate ALL the possible combinations (3,000 possible combinations, surpassed only by Corrin in terms of customization) would, in my opinion, not be worth it when they could be used to do something else more productive, like making sure there are no major bugs and the like.
The woman with the highest support level (Sumia/Sully/Maribelle/FeMU/Olivia) will marry him at the end of chapter 11. Olivia will only be marriable if you don't have any support levels with the rest and you use her to support Chrom a couple of times.
There's plenty of variables in this, but what you need to do is have the women you want chrom to be with, have more support with that women then the rest (do not S rank the two of them or you will never get a scene like this) and when you fight gangrel, keep the women alive throughout the whole fight. If you want olivia to be with chrom, a special variable is have her dance or fight with chrom at least 9 times, though i tried for alot more just to be safe, and make sure she is alive by the end and you have her.
I always ship Chrom with Olivia because you get a badass Inigo and because I can't be bothered sitting through four incredibly tedious supports in order to get him.
I don't get it: I completed this chapter with Chrom and my female MU having just A support rank - I didn't get the scene. I completed this chapter with my female MU and Chrom having S rank - didn't get the scene that way either. How DO you get it then? Do they have to be standing next one another by the time the fight ends or do they have to be "fused" together?

I had this alternate save file, where they had only reached A rank by this point and STILL missed this scene... I guess it's either because I almost dropped my 3DS by the Khan cutscene and - probably - pressed start while catching the damned machine OR I pressed start on purpose right afterwards DX.Whatever the case, I had to load my previous save file due to losing some units in battle... which led me to watch the S-support scene. Oh well, they're both sweet in their own way, I suppose. This one is definitely the more romantic scene. But on the other hand, their S-support is pretty funny and less of a cliche.
This is bull shit and I am pissed. (not at the video.) I'm talking about I just finished chapter 11 and Chrom married Sully. I didn't want him to marry her. So I spent like 4 hrs trying to avoid him from marrying her. His support with her is C and then I had Chrom pair up with Sumia and I have them on the sparkly spot on chapter 11, both raised their relationship on the spot. Sumia should be a B but no he instead still marries Sully. I call bull shit on that. Clearly he was more closer to Sumia but apparently the game don't like that decision... Wooooooow...

The first time I ever played this game, Chrom married Maribelle because I didn't know what was going to happen and then all other times I played, I made him go with Sumia due to shipping.
Awkwardly, Robin and Chrom ended up marrying in mine because I paired them up so much and Sumia was not my best unit on the battle field. I did want to pair Sumia and Chrom, but because of how much I paired Robin & Chrom, it just ended up that way.
you can get olivia by making sure Chrom does not work with ANY girl except Miriel and Lissa cuz he can't marry them so make sure Olivia dances for Chrom 7 times and make sure Chrom does not have ANY communication with any other woman

What I like about fates is that it is connected with awaking because some of the children are the same people in the fates series but with different names

my favorite pairing is Olivia and Lonque. Inigo is the best and for Lissa i marry her to Vaike cause his personality and they interact pretty well. Chrome and well idk.... Summia i guess. Robin i like to marry to aversa or a male character that can give Morgan a unique skill. Like being able to use dark magic in any class as a female. dope.

I never got to see these scenes, since I always have Chrom with an S-rank long before Chapter 11, usually with Sumia or female My Unit.

I hate when a FE game gives many marriage options but the "canon" pairing is so suggested
I prefer Chrom and robin together or Chrom and Olivia
I'm guessing RobinxChrom is canon, but when playing as male Robin, then SumiaxChrom is canon.

well male Robin is canon, and judging from the cutscenes and portrait SumiaxChrom is canon, and F!Robin its up in the air, can be anyone (but from lucina perspective it may not, see her judgment and Fates apareance).
Well. Honestly. If you play as a FRobin, the whole game becomes an epic war torn romance with a guy who’s very interested in you.
Cue cutscene of you killing him and he says it’s okay.
Cue cutscene of you, as a straight and cute woman, the first moment you see when you open you’re eyes is the beautiful and Handsome face of Chrom. With his gently smile, and silly dialogue.
Cue the romcom fireworks now.
Like. No memory, the first thing you see is a hot and caring guy.
That’s like shipping status instantly.
Whenever I play as Male Robin, I basically _always_ pair Chrom with Sumia, because 1) default option, and 2) I find them rather cute together.
Pretty sure that the true canon is Sumia x Chrom, and Robin x Lucina.
But if you're playing the alternate universe where Robin is a girl, then that routes canon is Robin x Chrom.
The game seems to have been explicitly written to have extra weight in only those specific circumstances.
Also, Sumia is literally in the intro cinematic holding baby Lucina, so that's basically screaming that's canon.
Can you believe, that I went into the game not knowing what S Ranking someone would do, and ended up marrying Chrom's little sister, and having a GLORIOUSLY disfunctional family, culminating in my sadistic daughter marrying (and torturing) a poor innocent bunny?

I just want to point out the difference between Chrom x Robins S support and automarriage. In the ssupport, Robin tells Chrom that after the war, they'll live their lives together. But in automarriage, Chrom tells her that instead.
I enjoyed the auto marriage bcuz in a way, its another bit of notable character development we see of Chrom in comparison to before chapter 11 and after.
Other thoughts: this pairing did it for me bcuz he calls her his best friend in his proposal. And those words are powerful to me, personally
Other random thoughts. Sumia's 'youre the brightest thing to me' was sweet. Sullys automarriage convo is super underrated and really well done. And Maribelle was just strange to me considering how pissed her usual profile looks like lmfao. Also her love for Lissa.
Chrom and Robin is the correct one. I see that since you can create a character many people choose male to represent themselves, but female Robin is the correct one. It's so much better! I'm glad I chose her on my playthrough.

I mean, if I play as female Robin, then I would definitely ship her with Chrom. Their chemistry is something else to behold, and their supports are so goddamn hilarious.
If I'm playing male Robin though, I always pair characters up by their fastest supports (leaving Lon'qu by himself), except Lucina (whom I marry, sorrynotsorryChrom) and Laurent (whom I pair up with Morgan)
Ironically enough, Robin was the sole person who didn't recieve Chrom's ring

1. Sumia (Only cause its basically shoved in our faces)
2 Robin (My favorite and usual ahip after i got all the supports, but only because it adds to the bad future and plot, i mean Avatar kills her true love, her daughter and her friends return in time to try and stop/save her and everyone, ending if you choice to sacrifice yourself seems more painful in the end for chrom, also why male robin is usually with Lucina or lissa)
3. Maribella (cause she's lissa's best friend, but not ususally done cause i think her and chrom could be more brother sister in relationship)
4 Sully
5. Olivia (I love Olivia honestly i do, but she feels shoe horned in the romance aspect with chrom)

Not as a prim, courtly proper queen, of course not. But Wonder Woman and Xena are both princesses, and they kick loads of arse; make either of them a little mouthier and you've basically got Sully. It's not uncommon for a stereotypical Scottish or Viking clan in media to have coarse, no-nonsense matrons looking after them. Heck, even in chess, the queen is the most powerful and intimidating piece. And then there's her ending with Chrom:
"After Grima’s defeat, Chrom was officially welcomed as Ylisse’s new Exalt. Queen Sully rode far and wide on his behalf, her gallant and radiant figure the envy of women everywhere."
So instead of being merely a support for Chrom as he governs, she shares the burden and rides out among the people to be just as much an inspiring presence as Chrom is.
I don't know. I have nothing against the other pairings (except Sumia's endless pies supports, but that's a nitpick; her version of this scene is nice) and I can even see the appeal of them all, but I'm just a sucker for childhood friends, especially when one of them is a tomboy harboring secret feelings --and according to Chrom and Sully's S-support, she has been.
Background NPC not that I say a strong woman can't be a queen. Heck Lucina is my favourite queen/princess/excalt so far.

I had heard that, yes. I believe you that the original is much better (it'd have to be) and usually I go for the peg knights first, but I just can't stomach (pun intended) the botched localized version. I paired my Avatar with her instead first playthrough and was much happier with their supports. :D
As for Queen Sully, shrug, to each his/her own.
Olivia gets a scene, but the maiden doesn't.
Just checked myself, Olivia doesn't get a scene. All the options do get a scene after the save when they show Lucina.

I love how Chrom x Robin and Chrom x Sumia both play out. While Sumia's is practically Canon, Robin's is cute in a way that beats the S support really.
Not that I have a problem with it, it's rather funny watching how flustered both Chrom and Robin are in admitting their feelings toward the big marriage step. But Robin x Chrom in this event is so heart warming and cute, rather than funny. Plus Robin doesn't even hesitate to admit that she'd marry him, her love. Also that he is someone precious to her in a sense that losing him would be too high of a price to pay for her.
Why can't we get an in game cutscene like sumia for femRobin...

In my preference I tend to ship chrom and sumia also my unit and cordelia cos chrom and avatar has deep connection also cordelia and sumia is best friends just like lissa and maribelle did so I just feel it so right 😅. Everyone has their own tastes

@@michaelsubroto5563 Maybe that's just because they didn't want to bother having to re-animate the scenes repeatedly, especially for a customizable character like Robin. These kinds of details take time, after all, and the time and resources needed to animate ALL the possible combinations (3,000 possible combinations, surpassed only by Corrin in terms of customization) would, in my opinion, not be worth it when they could be used to do something else more productive, like making sure there are no major bugs and the like.
The Robin in this video has the same design as mine except for the face. Nice to see appreciation for that hairstyle.

The woman with the highest support level (Sumia/Sully/Maribelle/FeMU/Olivia) will marry him at the end of chapter 11.
Olivia will only be marriable if you don't have any support levels with the rest and you use her to support Chrom a couple of times.

Pretty much, she is someone you have never met.
No and I have only seen her like twice.
There's plenty of variables in this, but what you need to do is have the women you want chrom to be with, have more support with that women then the rest (do not S rank the two of them or you will never get a scene like this) and when you fight gangrel, keep the women alive throughout the whole fight. If you want olivia to be with chrom, a special variable is have her dance or fight with chrom at least 9 times, though i tried for alot more just to be safe, and make sure she is alive by the end and you have her.

I don't get it: I completed this chapter with Chrom and my female MU having just A support rank - I didn't get the scene. I completed this chapter with my female MU and Chrom having S rank - didn't get the scene that way either. How DO you get it then? Do they have to be standing next one another by the time the fight ends or do they have to be "fused" together?
You get this if Chrom is unmarried at the end of Chapter 11. He automatically marries the person he has the highest support with.

Thanks, I kinda regret now that I saved after seeing my female MU and Chrom's S-support before going to this battle. I had this alternate save file, where they had only reached A rank by this point and STILL missed this scene... I guess it's either because I almost dropped my 3DS by the Khan cutscene and - probably - pressed start while catching the damned machine OR I pressed start on purpose right afterwards DX.Whatever the case, I had to load my previous save file due to losing some units in battle... which led me to watch the S-support scene. Oh well, they're both sweet in their own way, I suppose. This one is definitely the more romantic scene. But on the other hand, their S-support is pretty funny and less of a cliche.

This is bull shit and I am pissed. (not at the video.) I'm talking about I just finished chapter 11 and Chrom married Sully. I didn't want him to marry her. So I spent like 4 hrs trying to avoid him from marrying her. His support with her is C and then I had Chrom pair up with Sumia and I have them on the sparkly spot on chapter 11, both raised their relationship on the spot. Sumia should be a B but no he instead still marries Sully. I call bull shit on that. Clearly he was more closer to Sumia but apparently the game don't like that decision... Wooooooow...
+]-)ΣΔ†]-[ that is because you didnt have sumia's support higher prior to the chapter. who ever has the higher support convo rank when going into the fight will be the one to marry off in the end. example. if Robin has A rank support and sumia has B rank support, then Robin will be locked into the marriage at the end of the chapter if she isnt married already

Awkwardly, Robin and Chrom ended up marrying in mine because I paired them up so much and Sumia was not my best unit on the battle field. I did want to pair Sumia and Chrom, but because of how much I paired Robin & Chrom, it just ended up that way.

you can get olivia by making sure Chrom does not work with ANY girl except Miriel and Lissa cuz he can't marry them so make sure Olivia dances for Chrom 7 times and make sure Chrom does not have ANY communication with any other woman

my favorite pairing is Olivia and Lonque. Inigo is the best and for Lissa i marry her to Vaike cause his personality and they interact pretty well. Chrome and well idk.... Summia i guess. Robin i like to marry to aversa or a male character that can give Morgan a unique skill. Like being able to use dark magic in any class as a female. dope.
