I love the 787-900. I took it from SJC to NRT in ANA's business class and WOW the plane is fantastic. ANA did have a big part in the quality, seats, food and service were second to none but the 787-900 was a joy to fly on. Great aircraft. Thank you for the video.
I guess that’s normal in PUJ,. Pretty much the same happened to me last year when I was going back to MIA. The guy took my cologne (which was in the allowable limit size for carry ons) and he asked me for money. I told him to throw it in the trash can (of course, we all know where the cologne ended up). That was a very bad experience on top of the flight being delayed 3 hours.
I flew LATAM round trip from JFK to Lima, Peru. The outbound flight was cancelled and the return flight was delayed about 12 hours. It didn't leave a great impression on me.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'll be going with LATAM on February 2023, God's willing. Is there anything else you've like to share? If I have the chance to choose any seat, which one do you think would be the most comfortable/convenient? Wishing you good safe trips. Greetings from a Chilean living in Australia 🇨🇱🇦🇺🙋🏻♀️
You can tell the Chile based 787 fleet has suffered from the pandemic and cost cuts done by LATAM. Not saying that they are not taking care of them mechanically, but they can cut corners on the interiors. Also WiFi is never coming to their long haul fleet, they have been taunting it for a long time but never materializes, which is a shame because its almost everywhere on big carriers. And now that they declared Chapter 11 then they will cut even more corners. Good video tho!
LAN Chile and TAM ( Brazilian airline ), merged and now it’s called LATAM, I flew them to Rio in June ( a month before they had the olímpicos there ),the service was pretty good and the Dreamliner ( 787-9 ), was very nice.
Great question, that flashing light is only being caught on by the camera as its not something I've ever seen with my eye. My guess is its the motion sensor, which can be use to light up the power outlets with a simple wave
It bothers me that you had to bribe the security officer to let you continue to your gate. Is Chilean Spanish identical to Mexican Spanish? Do FA's ever card you for alcohol? Half expected for you to order a whiskey(thinking of your Canada trip where you downed I believe,TWO Canadian Club whiskeys flying to Canada)
Haha, on foreign carriers I've only ever gotten carded once when flying of age. And as much as I was considering getting a whiskey, I had already done that pre-flight to make up for the ground experience!
No, I, my bag got pulled aside after I passed through the metal detectors, and after an exchange of words, including the officer asking me for libros (Spanish for books, but Im guessing it was slang for something else?), and since my shoes were on the tray which he also had, he said, put money in the shoes, and ill let you go... Pretty crazy stuff, but living in mexico, I've dealt with similar situations (just not in airports though).
You have confused yourself because you did not travel to South America... Although Punta Cana is located in Latin America... Geographically it belongs to the Dominican Republic, which is a Caribbean country located in Central America... South America begins in Colombia and extends to the Ocean Antarctic Glacier in the extreme South of the Continent.✌️✌️
I enjoy and appreciate your videos very much. But the take off and landing noise on this video is awful, I know it’s not your fault, but I would have preferred the noise (engine?..) to be deleted. Keep up your great work. Thank you

Muito silencioso 787-9, robusta, serviço de bordo fraco. Parabéns pelo vídeo Emil... 👏🏿🤝🏿
This has me excited for my 787 trip from phl down to mia in August!
i love when the music drops
Actually, this vlog was very interesting! I enjoyed it.
Great video! How much was the price for the economy ticket?

Vou ao brasil em Dezembro 2024 pela Latam mas não sabia que era Latam Chilena. Decepção
Didn't know LA had a MIA-PUJ flight. But what's with the patchy wing?
I laughed at the sped up portion of the FAs in the aisle because I initially thought that was really bad turbulence.

Nice! What seat was this?
🙌 Your videos make me laugh

I've never flown on LATAM before but I'd like to try it out someday when I get a chance
Mi país, República Dominicana 🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴
4:42 what were those flashing lights here?

First time going to the Dominican Republic ? If it wasn’t what airport u went the first time ?
It's interesting to see all those paint patches too on the 787's wing at 13:04. It's not just an issue isolated to the A350.
Hopefully it isn't caused by bad copper foil for the case of the 787
I remember flying on a 777 but back It was called TAM airlines
Punta Cana airport looks really posh!!

I never would have had figured out those headphones ha
NEITHER WOULD I… The FAs must have a field day explaining that to pax
@@ITripReport fr lol
I’m not sure I understood completely. The airport personnel asked you for a bribe to be delivered in your shoe to get thorough security?!
So how much money was the bribe? And you didn’t report it?
Nice video
the fact that you had to bribe the security officer to let you go and not plant drugs in your luggage… yikes

What 00:00 hours!?, are you kidding me

To me LATAM is a dead airline since they stopped flying from JFK to GYE
Rasca el tapiz de los asientos!
