Kuru Kuru Kururin is an unusual game that is a mix of racing/puzzle genres. The player controls a slowly spinning stick called the Helirin, and must maneuver it through a series of mazes. The player controls the direction and speed of movement but not the Helirin's constant rotation.
This time, mohoc ( tasvideos.org/... ) aims for full completion, meaning completing every single level without taking damage as well as getting all make-up items and the Master rank, and reaching the credits in the end. Note that you can only access the credits by completing the third of every regular world, except for Lost Land, so the author opts to complete the last level of Grasslands as fast as possible at the very end.
There is also a run of the sequel, Kururin Paradise ( tasvideos.org/... ).

One of the best speedrun games on GBA tbh, underrated game.
I loved it on switch online never played it before great fun ❤
@@chuemmmeechuemmmee8491 You're watching a speedrun vid without even knowing lol. Means going fast in games to beat it (or levels) as fast as possible tho.
Well after only 11 months (September 29 - October 2, 2023) I didn’t expect yet *another* TAS of this game to come in August 2024.
i discovered it on switch online too, it should get way more praise, such a unique gem
20:58 - I love how this area is so brutally designed that even the TAS struggles with it lol
Considering that it's a TAS and everything done is theoretically the best way to do it until later discoveries are made, maybe the run itself is telling us there's no perfection without struggle regardless of how easy it seems, and even the best of us aren't perfect under our shells
Or smth idk lol :p
i think it was just waiting for it to rotate a bit before moving along
Ne-e-e-e-e-e-e-eigh!
Hey, it's the thing that appears in Smash Brawl as an Assist Trophy
ah, a fellow grayfruit fan!
Approximately 8,975,738,256,025,374,000,000,000,000,000 tennis balls could fit inside the Sun, assuming perfect packing and no wasted space or -26% of space that can not be filled = 6,642,046,309,458,776,000,000,000,000,000
Where am I supposed to get that many tennis balls? Also, how many average marbles would it take to fill all the tennis balls?
Tennis the meniscus
They couldve used this in the run ong
i've never seen this game before, only partway through watching, trying to figure out both the game mechanics and if this comment has any relevance whatsoever. fun!
how do you even lose health? bouncing off the wall doesn't seem to do it? are the different sticks just cosmetic or do they make gameplay differences? what do the various sounds mean, e.g. the horse? does it matter if a bird flies away after getting picked up? where are the sun and the tennis balls?
@@landfillbaby bouncing off the wall does make you lose health, but not when the center of the helirin is in a healing zone. The different sticks are just cosmetic, and the bird flying away is also just cosmetic. And as for the sounds... good question, maybe the author of the TAS is trying to express something ? :)
Now we're fucking talking
This was one hell of a wild ride, ngl. Amazing TAS, was pretty fun to watch! Btw, this was the first time I'd EVER actually seen The Lost Land (I haven't been bothered to come back to this game for probably more than 1 & a half years now). And it has a pretty nice theme, kinda gives me Crusader of Centy vibes. This game has a lot more to offer than Kururin Paradise did. I also like that you can get different colour schemes and Helirin styles in this game, but, unfortunately in Paradise, you have everything from the get-go, which in itself isn't necessarily a bad thing, but then there's also the fact that there are no unique Helirin styles. However, in that game, you DO actually have some control over the Helirin's rotation, unlike in this game where you have *none*.
Was really interesting to see a 100% TAS of this game. Definitely way more interesting than the 2nd game. Also, there's the fact that this game actually got a release in the west, and is even playable on NSO, unlike Kururin Paradise and Kururin Squash which, not only were *exclusive* to Japan, but they also NEVER got re-released.
imagine if grayfruit saw this
literally watched his video right before I looked up a tas
I didn't know star rail had a prequel...
Im happy and disappointed someone else had the brain to comment that
exactly what comes up in my mind after reading the title iykyk
The actual sequel to this game is _Roundabout_
There are stars and a rail so I can see where you’re coming from
This game looks really cute
i like how the unlockable levels don't have any times to beat, implying you're the first to ever get there
Why does the bird say "Fuck!" at the start of each level?
It's "Start!"
Because he’s angry
Why does Herta looks like a bird here?
good pick with the celeste title card
holy shit theres a machine land !!!!
