I loved the emotion which went unde the word "Pulsar" every time u uttered. i own a 2012 Pulsar 220F. While it has completed 60K KM, i still cant fathom how good the enthusiasm is on the bike. im sad that Bajaj did not revive the brand of Pulsars as it shud have while the entire sporty bike segment grew. sadly the RS200 did not make a hit as much as CBBR 250s or still to compare it with Yamaha 150. With so much time and years of experience, Pulsars shud have been the King of thrones when it came to 250 or 300 CC segment. its v v sad to see Gigxar and othr bikes taking the demand for pulsar away. NS and 220 shud have been made better bikes. Dominor needn't have existed in my opinion, if a BS4 version of Pulsar 400 cud have done the job better. Not to mention, these were one of the last bikes to hold big tank- 15-18L of capacity and we need not worry of touring in these for hundreds of KMs. I have not heard stories of Pulsars breakdown at anypoint, expet for their break pads and discs which were lacking engineering. But now Bajaj cud have learned from their partnerships to make this a beautiful motorcycle to ride. I Bid a v sad farewell to what "Pulsars- Definitely Male" stood for.... and Hope they kindle the emotion in every 90s kid the next time they see a 180,200 or 220 run on the roads.
You two are killing it. Reviews don’t get better than this. And what a refreshing change… no boom-pow music, no screaming, no super crazy motoring shots, no spec sheets and still everything feels complete (actually this is in a different orbit altogether). Thank you for delivering such quality!
@@shreyanshabhiraj9734 I get that. F9 is a multilayered presenter. His jokes, analysis, physics, and motorcycle stunts are all top notch and his cinematographer is a cherry on top. It's quite surprising that Fortnine produces the best content on UA-cam with such a small team. I just think Motorinc is following the Fortnine way of unbiased reporting. The whole project gives me Fortnine vibes tbh
You know what I like the most about these videos? The lack of SEO keywords like "Beast, brutal, etc etc" really like the mellow vibes, hope you guys stick with it forever
Glad you're enjoying the vibe Arijit! We're always looking for ways to improve! Do let us know if you think we could do something to improve further... SEO brutalisation aside, that is
Your videos are smooth as a flowing river … considering that’s how Honda engines are described Would love to see you do a take on the current gen Honda CB350s
These pieces of content are just made supremely well. It's such a mood changer, watching a few mins of your content and the day becomes much better. Honestly massive respective to not just the two of you but the team at MotorInc who are able to support you in what you are aiming to achieve. 💙
Lately, I've been listening to Shumi and Kartikeya before I doze off... And that's actually a compliment. I need conversations that are really soothing and in-depth to massage my brain and I could finally get some much needed relaxing sleep. These videos are so informative yet so much relaxing at the same time.
Been watching Shumi & Singhee for years... It's great to see both of them actually speak their minds...it does show in the videos. And this new format & quality of presentation is otherworldly ❤️ We need this kind of auto journalism where it just isn't about the numbers and more inclined towards the emotions attached to these machines!
I am considering upgrading from my 12-year-old Activa to a Bajaj Pulsar. Recently, I've been immersing myself in numerous UA-cam videos to make an informed decision. However, this particular video stood out. It had no flashy editing and over-the-top speed tests and useless details. You, dear reviewer, have quickly become my preferred content creator due to your elegance, attention to detail, and finesse in presenting the information. I would happily pay to watch such content. Hats off to the Motorinc team for their exceptional work.
Yesterday I ridden 50km in N 160 in Keralas busy highways. It's made me frustrated 😅 Intial acceleration was so good but crossing 70 km/h the bike feel dead ,from there it's won't pickup speed easily . My findings 1) it's so good to ride in city conditions 2) It's performed well in hilly sections 3) it's not ment for highways 4)Fuel Efficiency is damn good 50km/L that we are getting ❤️ 5) ride quality feels like on stiffer side. 6) head light is very good 7) breaking is very good and confidents inspiring 😙
Rear shock is hard. I can confirm. Especially for lightweight riders like me(64kg)😂. But its good when I ride with a pillion. So i think I need to adjust the preload
Nostalgia hit hard for someone who owned the P150 UG3 as his first motorcycle and then upgraded to a P220. Apart from the smaller niggles like the clip-on handlebar breaking on a corner to the gear shifter falling off mid-ride, the engines and (daredevil) chassis had a character. Still recollect the way Karizma owners tried to overtake Pulsars as though an untold Ind-Pak road fight emerged without any warning lights. I feel the new age Pulsars are the RTR series from TVS. I do miss the two decades with my Pulsars and the chaps at Probiking who made every service a knowledge learning activity. But, with the amount of failures, I would not recommend Pulsars anymore. Let alone the fact that nothing about the N or P excites like the earlier Pulsars. Good video, love the views, edit and studio.
I agree everything you wrote. These new gen Pulsars have actually lost their charm & attractiveness which they were known for. To me P220 is the last orginal Pulsars ever known in the Indian motorbike markets. Yes, I still own my Pulsar 150 DTSI UG4 (with handlebar instead of split handles) & it still gives me pure joy with an average of 40-45 mileage (I drive rough & fast in the city traffic) & i barely take it to highways cuz beyond 70kmph it's irritating. The only thing I upgraded are it's worst halogen 35w bulb with 35w LED NIGHTEYE, tube tyres to tubeless ones & the recommended engine oil to Motul 20w-50 5100.
I just watched an almost 8 min video without any numbers being thrown at me! Wow! Lots of love and respect to the entire MotorInc crew. It's so good to see a bike review going beyond the spec sheet numbers and usual automotive cliches. Please keep this format going. Would love to see such videos about bigger bikes as well.
I'm 13 and I own a 2014 pulsar 150 which is ny dad's old bike I've ridden only a few bikes such as classic 350,shine,passion, splendor even an RTR 160 2v but none give me the feeling of that buttery smooth gearbox the goosebumps giving acceleration and the feather like handling that my very own pulsar 150 has
Okay, the aesthetics of these videos so damn good!!! specially the high frame rate bike shots, the colour, black bike, black rider suit, the grading it just makes the output so much better, and the shots taken in the studio as are very well lit. And the crispness in the voice of the person talking. And lastly the content is so clearly explained. Saying this again, in this segment this channel will stand out because of the aesthetic they are going with.
This is what a comparo video should be. Already loved the Ronin vs Hunter video. This comparo was unexpected but makes much sense now. The way you brought the Apaches in the comparo was also very helpful. And last but not the least thanks to the entire team for making such a soothing video experience. Cheers for more to come.
These are twins who grew up and developed different tastes with respect to clothing. Buyers seriously will be confused which one to choose. As city bikes, these will just wow a beginner. I haven't ridden the 150 but I found the N160 very lively in and around the town. I hope Shumi and Kartikeya ride to our hills once and document their experience. The entire team deserves a big pat on the back for the sheer quality of these videos. Cheers!
I don't have much to add about the motorcycles themselves, but I just want to say this might be the single best produced review video(of any kind!) I have seen on youtube. The editing, production quality, writing and delivery is so on point. Didn't even feel like I was watching a review, more like a well-reasoned out essay as to why the P150 is a more practical machine to go with. Great work guys keep it up, absolutely loved it!
It's not a bike video, it's pure, unadulterated, high quality dopamine to the mind. I can do yoga watching this. Shumi, if you are in a video, I just click like on the first second itself ❤❤❤
The subtle subtleties and advice that is meaningful. I don't think anyone can break it apart like this! Years of auto journalism and a refresh has done y'all good!
Thanks Manas! We did set out to work out how to make more meaning content that would make a difference to the user of the machine. You're saying it's working... and that makes our day!
Loving this format with the calm background music and the host just talking eye to eye with the audience and simply sharing their experience with the vehicle. No spec sheets or performance charts. After yesterday's video I had a feeling that shumi sir would like the n160. Turns out I was wrong!
Thanks Sankalp! Glad you're enjoying the experience! Why did you conclude (yesterday) that the N160 would win? It'd be nice to understand this... help?
@@motorinc I've ridden the N160 (my friend owns one) it's a great city bike, quick on it's feet and has good initial pickup, low end grunt and a more sportier character all the things I thought shumi would like.
"Pulsar is an Emotion for 90's kids." In the second week of January, I borrow my friend's Bajaj 150 Pulsar (2015 edition), 7 years old, to ride to Mysuru with my wife. It's a mix of experience, 1. The riding posture; the pressure you get from the pillow directly impacts your hand, and it is challenging to continuously ride more than 100kms. 2. I was riding on Bangaluru-Mysuru Highway, and it was tough to move it beyond 90km/hr; I didn't feel very confident about the breaks, and the vibrations were killing the experience. This bike is an emotion for me; I still remember the first model with that bulky fat tank!
This is the first video I saw of this channel but I've always loved to hear Shumi talk about motorcycles. It sounds almost therapeutic. After the launch of the two very close motorcycles by Bajaj, I've seen a lot of video comparisons. This is the first time I've seen such a clear perspective.
This is most definitely the best automotive content in the country, not just a review but therapeutic to watch. We are reaching Fortnine levels of production and detail that even many big channels fail to do so. Looking forward for more.
That felt really premium! The knowledge that Shumi shared was sound and honestly I am in love with the vibe of the video. The pace is nice and slow and no one is in a rush. Really really awesome stuff!
P150, RTR 160, N160, RTR 160 4V. - amoung these, i will only pick the race throttle response 160 4V any day. My friend has one, and it's a joy to ride also i love how this machine sounds , soothing music to the ears👂.
The RTR1604V has, in fact, been the best in class for absolutely ages. It became a little to uncle-y right after BS6 but TVS updated it soon after made it young again.
Yeah I did test ride the 160 4v couple of weeks ago felt it that isn't that happy to stay on one gear for a long time and needs frequent shifts. The bike asks to push it to it's extreme but doesn't give you the confidence(may be smaller tyres are the reason) at the same time, atleast in the urban areas because I never tried it on the highway. I had to look further up towards the 200 rtr but ended up buying the N160 yesterday because I somehow found what I was looking for in the 160 section. With my rides probably being restricted to in and around Bangalore, the N is very much what I wanted. Even If had bought the RTR I would pretty much stick to rain mode mostly and switch to urban mode (I don't need sports mode in traffic and also my work place is just 4kms away) when the roads are dry and N does perform better in these scenarios and also the dual channel adds to extra benefit. The only thing that concerns me though is the performance on bad road conditions that give you an off-road experience. When it comes to the P series it wasn't at offer for test ride in the showrooms I enquired.
For me, as soon as I get my hands on any bike I fall in love with it. As I remember the time I first rode the NS200, at the end of the ride, my were arms shivering along with my legs it was a joy I can't express through words 😊
I think the P150 trades on the characteristics of the LS135 now.. Lighter, Nimbler, Simpler with a dash of sportiness, refined and pocket friendly to run and maintain. It won't be hard for college goers to convince their parents to get them one. On the other hand.. the N160 was pressed on to duty to bank on or rather to increase the desirability factor of the N250..and with a slightly more matured character than the otherwise slightly fun-loving eccentric P150. It's more for someone who really loved the N250 but wanted a more economical sibling..now can settle with the N160. May be this is how, I hope Bajaj had thought while giving a green signal to the developments of both P-150 and N-160.
@@motorinc May be the N250 chap knew well in advance that this is going to happen to him as it's Bajaj 😄😄..and this is not the first time that Bajaj has done this. He surely knew it and may be he didn't care to grab much eyeballs.
Feels like a meditation instructor no Shumi? The way he talks and the background music as well. It's perfect. Meditation level calm + talking about motorcycles. 💯
Rode the Pulsar F250 recently. I am a Honda guy, spoilt by the refinement of gems from Honda. And here I was pleasantly surprised to see Bajaj surpass Honda in terms of refinement! But something was really off. The new Pulsars are too tame. They lack the thrill of OG Pulsars. The thrill on offer was the X factor that made Pulsar's standout from rest of the crowd.
Shumi this is something completely out of the box, hats off to you & kartikey who have managed to carve a niche approach in these crowded channels of automobile..Keep up the good work
I like ur review. Ur the only one who chosed a bike. Other critics they confuse by praising both bikes. I now wait more of ur bike reviews. Never change ur way. Ur different
I really like this format, I love the background especially with bikes on a brighter set. Thanks for solving the confusion. As I said earlier pulsar is no more a wicked bike it's now a bare bone commuter, just like how FZ matured Pulsar also matured to become a commuter. Bajaj could have updated N series in the lines of RTR. But they chose not to.
That is how content should be made. It's almost spiritual in some sense. Simple, straightforward, Well researched, phenomenal production quality, Great thumbnails, Spot on graphics and inspiring charm of respective presenters. You guys are lords of Moto world.
Crisp clear information... No bakwas... The quality of providing machine related information is top notch and improving day by day... The market scripting based channels and makers of motors gonna hate us... But they should look towards it positively... 🤞🏽 We have long way to go...
crossed around 3300 kms in my pulsar N160, yeah...! the thrill is missing in this pulsar. but the fact is I am satisfied with N160 My observation, pros: 1. a good-looking pulsar, 2. exhaust... project it as a monster but no it is not a monster.. 3.fuel economy obviously a thumbs up, 4.city manoeuvrability awesome traffic not a problem at all (light clutch is making it easier) 5.dual channel ABS is really a life saver couple of time it saved me from stupid drivers. 6.lights are so good even in a foggy situation you can ride it Cons: 1.very bad painting up to 500 kms i used to get paint smell after every ride 2.heavier body put a lot of stress on the engine since its 160-cc engine it couldnt pull it after 100 kms (6 th gear option would have solved it) 3.stiffer rear suspension make long ride painful had a chance to spend time with p150 for a while, don't know whether i used to my n160 I am not impressed with the performance from P150
Thanks Sheik! Good analysis. But Cons point 2 isn't right. 6th gear wouldn't solve it. This is because 1st and 6th (or 5th if that's the maximum gear) is decided first and the other gears are filled in to complete the gearbox design. Even if the N160 had a sixth? It would be the same as your current 5th.
I never rode A pulsar long enough to KNOW how it feels But, Seems like , I don't have to worry about that since i own A RTR 160 4v 🖖 , Still best in segment. And from what i know pulsar do breakdown a lot. Haven't seen that bike cross 5 years without problems.
Have been waiting a channel/series/content which is detailed, comprehensive, true to the spirit or riding/driving automobiles. The comparisons, reviews and thoughts should be this rather than just specs and numbers on the screen. Makes me question my heart and brain - do I like this one? The quality of the production is on par with international standards and very detail oriented which has been missing at PD and Zig. It should not be just upbeat music, fast edits and accents. This is serious motoring content. Looking forward for more. Wishing Shumi, Karthikeya and the entire team at MotorInc the very best.
Thank you Rishikesh! Welcome to MotorInc! We firmly believe that we drive and ride is about what they make us feel. And if it takes ignoring spec sheets to find our way to that feeling? Then that is what must be done.
Surreal. Huge respect, and thanks to Shumi for describing the true essence of motorcycling and, as a copywriter, loved the script, your writer has my respect. Love it.❣️
I'm an Apache owner and obviously a proud one. But the way you explained made me think about older pulsars. Would definitely love to ride one of them if I get a chance. As always big fan😌!!
Have been through all the comments and everything I wanted to say has already been said. Let me just say GREAT JOB MOTORINC. Shumi sounds spiritual. Hearing him speak is meditative. So much passion and understanding of motorcycles. Pure Bliss. Keep it up. Love you guys. Something special happening here. 👏👏👏👏👏
Bajaj must consider changing the overall headstyle for the likes of pulsar 125. Between these two, of course P150. The look of it suits my taste. You guys are creating great contents, with spot on topics ❤.
I still remember a memory, somewhere back from 2010, I was at school, two of older boys were discussing something, one of them was planning to buy a bike, the other guy said to him, "agar pulsar ya apache me se koi nahi liya to mere samne bhi mat ana!". 😂
Just one thing Shumi, not all bikes are made for excitement or fun. I am an naturally aggressive rider, so always looked down on retro's. Just to try, I took cb350 on rent out for a day and I really loved the bike. It was not exciting at all, nor the quick flickable bike, but I really loved the relaxing feeling I was getting at 80-90kmph. Somehow, this bike turned off my "fast" spirit and I was really enjoying that relaxed pace. Sure, I didn't picked her as my primary bike, but I am certain that someday she will be home as my secondary bike.
This happened to almost every brand. A sparking start then it matures and becomes mundane in the process to suit the customers needs. Btw in this company I also like the P150 SD.
@@motorinc shumi sir also said that 2nd gen duke 390 somewhat lost it's character after it became mellowed down a bit and by some other factors. I think market works like that. There is nothing wrong with companies. They have to make business sense.
Maybe the best "-est" motor channel in India now, the way they help us understand things and differentiate the products is amazing, also the quality of the contents feel extraordinary to me frankly speaking. I feel like I'm watching an Apple product review shot in Steve jobs theatre. Keep up 👍🏼
I think bajaj is is shifting the image of pulsar from exciting fast bikes to city riding bikes. Make a video between n250 and rtr 200 4V. Great video btw... Cheers..
In my opinion, Fulfilling the expectations and breaking their own benchmarks are never easy with major changes with price brackets in mind, that's what bajaj did and the outcome is P150/N160. Improving their motorcycles to next level, from ok-ish to perfectly good and increase in price for their RnD and other reasons, that's what TVS did.
Agreed. But what Shumi's questioning, we think, is which benchmarks Bajaj chose to break as a derivative of what the Pulsar brand was, is and is supposed to be in the future.
This is the similar story with OnePlus. What started as a enthusiast first brand slows shifted towards polished and boring mundane company now. It's bound to happen at some point I guess. People in suits deciding what's fun kills everything.
Does it? The biggest brands you can think of have changed their products along the way without fundamentally changing who they are as companies. Think Apple, KTM, Honda (global), Toyota (global)... so many!
these reviews are like poetry, so nicely put together and presented beautifully . and my god those fonts 😍..... you guys are setting a standard way high. kudos
This video is spot on and really gold for new buyers. I am personally disappointed with how bajaj is treating their products. For the people who are loyal with bajaj, they generally have a predisposition to buy a particular model and they ultimately do that..But those who are getting their first bikes, they are surely getting confused. As bajaj with their new pulsars, is not really clearly communicating what they are offering. As opposed to TVS with their Apaches, they know exactly what they are selling and surely attracting new buyers.
@@motorinc Well even down in 2018-2019. It was quite clear, if you want a commuter with a sporty vibe, you will go with Pulsar 150. If you want more power go with 220. If you have an inclination towards the KTM platform and the pure KTM experience is not what you want, go with pulsar NS or RS. Now, new pulsars are being markated like.. Every machine is equally capable, all machines have the same new tech, built on the same new platform Also the models are confusing, specially when it comes to P150 and N160. So as a buyer, I get the feeling... If all the models are saying the same thing...why there are different models... and why would I choose one as opposed to other. But then it comes to TVS and their Apaches... Its very clear.. What you are getting is a machine designed and built for racing. The only philosophy it knows is speed and power. Now it depends on the buyer...how much he can handle... If you are comfortable with 160..go with that segment... if you can handle more power go with 310. But whatever you buy...you are getting a racing machine. Its clear...
Used to ride UG3 Pulsar-180 back in 2007 uptill 2015... It had its own niggles with time (speedo failure, used to take its own time to crank in Delhi winters)...but the fun quotient was really high with them - And i do feel Bajaj lost that part with the new age Pulsars (there are so many iterations now).
I would like to thank the entire team for publishing great content. Now, here are my key worries by far : 1. if it's a most robust and settle engine and engineering will it breaks it's own inception. 2. At which point something begins or end its course or existence once again.
From an owner's standpoint, these are larger questions. From a industry watcher's standpoint, its clear that brands evolve and the organisations that own the brand have a say in that evolution... including the cycle of closing up a brand, or resurrecting a long dormant brand both
I sincerely want to understand if these hard hitting thoughts are really understood by those looking for options in this segment (or those evaluating pulsar). Most commenting are those with nostalgia of their Pulsar experiences or those in love with Shumi and Kartik.
Here's how we see it. These videos are for the thinking motorcyclist. At one level, to guide their next purchase as well as their life with machines today. But at another level, it's a more evolved conversation about machines. We believe the buyer will find these stories useful... but it's almost a side-effect of the main theme, not the hero of the story. The fact that you commented... we respond... this conversation is what we look forward to.
@@motorinc That's what I thought too. Any presentation of thoughts for a motorcyclist mind is useful. However, the utility of these thoughts was very subjective
Accha lagta he aise calm reviews dekhne aur sunne me. Bikes ko suit bhi karta he imo. Kaafi information milta he asaan tareeke me. Ek cheez personally pasand aayi ki bike comfort ke bare me acche se bataya gaya. Kaafi der us topic pe spend kiya. Aakhir everyday use me ye ahmiyat rakhta he. Aksar dusre reviews me comfort part mumble karte karte jumble kar dete he. Par aap ye information hume deke, humari decisions me bohot help karte ho. Aapka bohot bohot shukriya. Motorinc, please aise videos banate raho and Shumi aap yaar mast ho!
Great Review guys , really loved it. I bought a N160 last year and just a few moths later....bajaj decided to release the P150. So far, my experience has been delightful ngl. I was very close to booking a Apache 160 4V but later after the test ride, it became obvious that isn't made for me as the bike is too short ( I seel this coz ii'm 6'1)and the seating is way too sporty. The pulsar on the other hand is very very comfortable and is very stable at speeds above 100kmph. My opinion on whether to buy the P or the N is that, spend the extra rs 11,000 and go for the N as dual channel ABS is a llifesaver, especially during the monsoon and the wider tires help alot. About the rear suspension, yes I agree it's very stiff but, its ADJUSTABLE! The rear suspension gets considerably softer when a pillion is seated but I've adjusted the rear and now it feels like it's doing justice to the arguably best fronnt suspensions in class. Open to hear opinions on why the P is better XD.
Why do you need an opinion? Once you buy it, it's the best bike in the world! We're glad you're enjoying your purchase. There's nothing more that needs to be said!
@@Prince-nn6ig Oh yes definitely. Your experience may vary but as far my experience goes...it is a short bike...could be because of the weird tank shape but the bike isn't made for tall peeps like us. Although I'm very confident bout the fact that Apache is a small bike, do visit a showroom and try it out yourself.
The meditative qualities of your videos are highly appreciated, especially when the rest of UA-cam is shouting hoarsely. But yet, at some level, there’s a feeling of pretentious depth, where there is none. My 2 cents.
@@motorinc hey I just feel that giving an apparent sense of 'depth' or 'profundity' to *_All_* content makes it look pretentious. Certain topics/themes do make themselves suitable to such treatment, but some others bring a sense of pretentiousness. Thats all. Otherwise, I like the content.
Ah. We don’t think we have the luxury of being less serious. For Shumi it’s a small bike. For you it’s in your past. But for someone else out there it’s what they’re striving to bring home. We cannot imagine a way to not give that dream its due, whether it looks pretentious or not.
I still remember Shumi suggesting Pulsar 135LS over Stunner and FZ, OD days, that time Bajaj was thinking of keeping performance on top, but as Shumi beautifully said the Pulsars have settled now.
There are a few comments in the stream suggesting that all brands tend to settle down... except that we cannot help but returning to the idea that it's settled in a little too much.
Thanks for the wonderful soothing content. Honestly, choosing a motorcycle has become really confusing! In the last two / three years the variables have changed a lot. Multiple new and old (yet available) options to choose from multiple brands, rise in prices of the same old models which were available earlier too! Rise in fuel prices, stricter RTO norms and rising traffic. The choice is not easy as it was 10 years ago for new and experienced riders.
We don't believe more choice has made things harder. It's just too much, and sometimes irrelevant, information that raises the confusions levels. The availability of the information also makes you wonder (for longer) if you know everything you needed to... causing many to overthink things wildly. We believe expanded choice is good, we just need to cut through the clutter and get to the point. That is one of our goals at MotorInc!
Great content MotorInc. Nice to see you talking about motorcycles and what they stand for. When the Pulsar was launched back in 2001, I was in college and I remember being totally gobsmacked by the design. It was like nothing else on the market. That period was like the Renaissance period for the biking segment. It was not a perfect bike but its flaws gave it character. There was something that clearly differentiated it from the CBZ. Every manufacturer brought its A game to the table. Every product had a clear differentiation. Think Yamaha FZ or LML Graptor (hope you remember that one 😀), or even the original Honda Unicorn. Over time I think all niche ideas in the 150cc segment have been exhausted. The Pulsar has just become "another" bike in the segment. It has become matured and civilized to the point of being boring. I would rather buy a tattered copy of the original Pulsar from 20 years ago and restore it instead of buying this one.
I wanted a sports-commuter bike. With replacing P150 with N150, bajaj really offered me no other company has offered. Yet I dream to have a sports commuter bike -4v, oil cooled, single seat in which my mom can sit but this is the best option I can get, and its a good thing I waited cause with n150 things look even better as compared to p150 imo.
Thanks MAK. OS! We really do enjoy driving and riding. And we do genuinely believe that everyone should be able to access a better life with their cars and motorcycles. Ergo, we must be invested fully in our videos, whether the vehicle in them is fancy or not. It is, always, someone's dream.
I am loving the way we are celebrating motors in such a peaceful way on this channel. I do have a little request for you, On your previous channel you reviewed the gixxersf250 in real rush. and I always wished for this kind of talk about that bike. Shumi, if u are reading this, can you please ride that motorcycle on more time with peace? and we can talk about it ( you will talk and i will listen but it talking for me). & Cheers to the new channel.
The content quality is superb. Thanks to the team of Motor Inc. led by Shumi & Katrikeya for educating us, the motor enthusiasts. One request- please make a video on selecting a bike. I am looking to upgrade from R15. My budget is 4 lakh. To be used for office commute, dropping my kid at and picking up from school. Occasional touring with mix of highways, rural roads and some off roads. Pillion comfort is also a major criteria. Please help me in my decision.
@@motorinc Thanks. The choices are limited. Though, I have following bikes in my mind: 1. 390 Adventure (my wife doesn’t like the raised pillion seat) 2. 650 Interceptor (very heavy & seat not suitable for long rides) 3. 310 GS (service cost is high)
Shumi sir there are lot of machines Mt15, ns,rs, n250, RTRs, the all Duke series some Honda products... could please make a content on this how we can choose a perfect one because your point of view mean a lot to me and it not possible for us to have the test ride of each of them.
Because I have seen that before buying a bike in its segment everyone goes to watch a ownership review and that doesn't help, so all the community is asking for a content of best bikes in their segment like is the Duke 390 still the segment killer or we should save our money and go for the lesser one like 250 Duke...i think now you got my point of view
Maan this vdo is literally what I think about pulsar these days excitement is gone wow factor gone Thye become mature (pulsar and mature wtf) First pulsar was revolutionary and every new after that till thye start changing stickers every year and keeping dead alive on ventilator While other grew but never mature thye went no where and wake up all of sudden and decided we are good boys now Thye need to bring something excitement back into market just be first of something or be the most powerful just stand out a bit obviously it'll not be jack of all trade but I'll rather have one bike wich is giving 100 in one aspect than splitting it into 10 more
Thank you. Finally someone has cleared up the confusion on which of the 4 Pulsar 150/160 should be purchased. The answer was simple though, buy the newest one. I suppose this video was easier to do since it's just Bajaj involved in this comparo but the Ronin/ Hunter was the one that was truly hats off. On another note, you keep saying there are 9 Pulsars. I counted 10 on Bikewale. Counting the N250 and F250 as one?
9 - yes, F/N are cosmetic versions of each other so counted as one. Thanks Anant! It's not because is the newest though, the P150 is the most cohesive of this coterie of commuters
I own pulsar n 160. I know that rtr 160 4 v is slightly more powerful. However the pulsar has that character which one should consider. Whenever you are on the motorcycle you feel like, I didn't ride enough. It always leaves you with a smile. Lots of love to you shumi. ❤️ 💐I like the cool hairstyle. 👍🏻 Please make some online riding school curriculum because I really want to get into this. I wish I could have something affordable so that I can learn and improve my riding. Is it possible ?🙏
This review or comparison of motorinc was so smooth and mature just like the p150 that I didn't realize they it was 150cc segment comparison. Such amazing work.
Hahaha, I wish I could, like they show in films, beam this to prospective N buyers everywhere right now; still better, play it on Giant screens outside every Bajaj Dealership. Well distilled content.

Sir i am confused on which bike to buy p150 Or N 160. I heard that n160 has starting issue and chain issue pls can u clarify pls
Alternate Title: Trying to sell P150
You two are killing it. Reviews don’t get better than this. And what a refreshing change… no boom-pow music, no screaming, no super crazy motoring shots, no spec sheets and still everything feels complete (actually this is in a different orbit altogether). Thank you for delivering such quality!
Glad you loved it Apurva! We will pass on your compliment to the whole team!
Cannot agree more. This video definitely helped me make a choice without any second thoughts! Incredible stuff! Simple, on point and helpful!
Ryan F9 from Fortnine has an Indian competition.
Thanks
Ah I see another man of culture
Its a shame he doesn't do motorcycle review very often .
Well I would say he is so much sometimes fixated on performance only.
SEO brutalisation aside, that is
Your videos are smooth as a flowing river … considering that’s how Honda engines are described
Would love to see you do a take on the current gen Honda CB350s
It feels like a meditation everytime these guys put up videos . The design team in particular is nailing it again .
Thank you Mohan!
Exactly!
These pieces of content are just made supremely well. It's such a mood changer, watching a few mins of your content and the day becomes much better. Honestly massive respective to not just the two of you but the team at MotorInc who are able to support you in what you are aiming to achieve. 💙
Wow! Thank so very much Murtaza! That's so so good to hear! Will pass on your compliments to the whole team!
Thank you so much Ashish! Glad you're enjoying MotorInc's way!
Early days when Kartik used to test motorcycles he used to put out some bullshit , good to see he has found his groove
My findings
1) it's so good to ride in city conditions
2) It's performed well in hilly sections
3) it's not ment for highways
4)Fuel Efficiency is damn good 50km/L that we are getting ❤️
5) ride quality feels like on stiffer side.
6) head light is very good
7) breaking is very good and confidents inspiring 😙
Spot on Riders Paradise! Good analysis!
Rear shock is not that stiff for me its not really soft thought
Compared to the front it is for sure. On its own? No.
Rear shock is hard. I can confirm. Especially for lightweight riders like me(64kg)😂. But its good when I ride with a pillion.
So i think I need to adjust the preload
Ideally you should always add preload when riding with pillions.
Thanks Pratik! The RTR statement is a big one! If we were Bajaj, we would be worried!
Agree, i own n160 but your statement is correct man ..
12 years of ownership of P 180 Ug 4 and still loving it both in city and highway ❤
Thanks Sameer! Lots planned! Stay tuned!
I'm 13 and I own a 2014 pulsar 150 which is ny dad's old bike I've ridden only a few bikes such as classic 350,shine,passion, splendor even an RTR 160 2v but none give me the feeling of that buttery smooth gearbox the goosebumps giving acceleration and the feather like handling that my very own pulsar 150 has
♥️
Okay, the aesthetics of these videos so damn good!!! specially the high frame rate bike shots, the colour, black bike, black rider suit, the grading it just makes the output so much better, and the shots taken in the studio as are very well lit. And the crispness in the voice of the person talking. And lastly the content is so clearly explained. Saying this again, in this segment this channel will stand out because of the aesthetic they are going with.
Thank you Akash! We love your confidence!
Thank you Pritom! Always good to see you here in the comments!
Cheers!
Which hills are those? Agreed on the beginner-wow!
@@motorinc The Darjeeling hills..
Noted! Let's see what we can do!
Wow, thanks! Glad you enjoyed that Sai Abhishek!
It's not a bike video, it's pure, unadulterated, high quality dopamine to the mind.
I can do yoga watching this.
Shumi, if you are in a video, I just click like on the first second itself ❤❤❤
Thank you so much Syed!
Thank you for those kind words.
Man.. I never thought someone talking on the internet about a 150cc motorcycle will make me emotional lmao! AMAZING WORK!
Thank you Harshal! Glad you're enjoying the MotorInc vibe!
He did! But the Pulsar 150 has better balance and isn’t slower enough 😄
@@motorinc Gotta visit my local dealership and try to get a test ride of the p150 :v
Go! And let us know what you thought!
"Pulsar is an Emotion for 90's kids."
In the second week of January, I borrow my friend's Bajaj 150 Pulsar (2015 edition), 7 years old, to ride to Mysuru with my wife.
It's a mix of experience,
Nicely put Rajdeep. And yes, all motorcycles, to us, are an emotion.
This is the first video I saw of this channel but I've always loved to hear Shumi talk about motorcycles. It sounds almost therapeutic. After the launch of the two very close motorcycles by Bajaj, I've seen a lot of video comparisons. This is the first time I've seen such a clear perspective.
Thank you Sayon! Welcome to MotorInc! Do check out the other videos and our podcast too!
This is most definitely the best automotive content in the country, not just a review but therapeutic to watch. We are reaching Fortnine levels of production and detail that even many big channels fail to do so. Looking forward for more.
Thank you Aditya! Do tell us when you think of a way for us to do even better stories please!
That felt really premium! The knowledge that Shumi shared was sound and honestly I am in love with the vibe of the video. The pace is nice and slow and no one is in a rush. Really really awesome stuff!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks RetroKaizer!
Rtr 160 4v is uncle bike
I have ridden the rtr 160 4v mostly in cities where it’s sedate but once you are on motorway , it’s so good . Good to know it’s still sitting on top.
🍻
Yes, the NS is really good at that!
How does seeing the N160 look exactly the same as the N250 make the chap who got themselves the 250 feel?
@@motorinc May be the N250 chap knew well in advance that this is going to happen to him as it's Bajaj 😄😄..and this is not the first time that Bajaj has done this.
He surely knew it and may be he didn't care to grab much eyeballs.
😆
Feels like a meditation instructor no Shumi? The way he talks and the background music as well. It's perfect. Meditation level calm + talking about motorcycles. 💯
...and close your eyes, think deep thoughts, take deep breaths.... 😆
Spot on! Thanks Mahesh!
I would like to know the honda you are talking about as refinement used to be a honda character not anymore in recent years tho
Pulsars aren't developing new engines and nerfing the old ones to meet emission standards.
The pull isn't there anymore
Shumi this is something completely out of the box, hats off to you & kartikey who have managed to carve a niche approach in these crowded channels of automobile..Keep up the good work
Thanks a ton!
Because of dual channel abs and powerful headlight sure I will go with n160
I like ur review. Ur the only one who chosed a bike. Other critics they confuse by praising both bikes. I now wait more of ur bike reviews. Never change ur way. Ur different
Thank you!
Glad you like the videos! Tell us how you think we can improve on them?
That is how content should be made. It's almost spiritual in some sense. Simple, straightforward, Well researched, phenomenal production quality, Great thumbnails, Spot on graphics and inspiring charm of respective presenters. You guys are lords of Moto world.
The production quality of these videos is in another league
Thank you Ganesh!
Crisp clear information... No bakwas... The quality of providing machine related information is top notch and improving day by day... The market scripting based channels and makers of motors gonna hate us... But they should look towards it positively... 🤞🏽 We have long way to go...
Thanks Ganesh!
This clears all the thoughts/doubts I had with the arrival of P150.
Smooth... Motorinc! 💙
Glad it helped!
crossed around 3300 kms in my pulsar N160, yeah...! the thrill is missing in this pulsar. but the fact is I am satisfied with N160
My observation,
pros:
1. a good-looking pulsar,
2. exhaust... project it as a monster but no it is not a monster..
3.fuel economy obviously a thumbs up,
4.city manoeuvrability awesome traffic not a problem at all (light clutch is making it easier)
5.dual channel ABS is really a life saver couple of time it saved me from stupid drivers.
6.lights are so good even in a foggy situation you can ride it
Cons:
1.very bad painting up to 500 kms i used to get paint smell after every ride
2.heavier body put a lot of stress on the engine since its 160-cc engine it couldnt pull it after 100 kms (6 th gear option would have solved it)
3.stiffer rear suspension make long ride painful
had a chance to spend time with p150 for a while, don't know whether i used to my n160 I am not impressed with the performance from P150
Good to know thank you @ motorinc
Maybe if the company made a little more aggressive map for engine it would solve it?
I never rode A pulsar long enough to KNOW how it feels But, Seems like , I don't have to worry about that since i own A RTR 160 4v 🖖 , Still best in segment. And from what i know pulsar do breakdown a lot. Haven't seen that bike cross 5 years without problems.
Nice going Nihar!
Love it.❣️
Thanks a ton Harsh! Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm an Apache owner and obviously a proud one. But the way you explained made me think about older pulsars. Would definitely love to ride one of them if I get a chance. As always big fan😌!!
Best of luck Siddhant!
♥️ What a lovely thing to read first thing in the morning! You've made our day... thank you!
Bajaj must consider changing the overall headstyle for the likes of pulsar 125.
Between these two, of course P150. The look of it suits my taste.
You guys are creating great contents, with spot on topics ❤.
This channel is unique. The presentation is unique. Congratulaions to you both.
Thank you Sourav! Welcome to MotorInc!
I have not seen such a pleasing review video before. I didn't skip for 10 sec also. Great effort guys.... All d best.
Thanks a ton!
I still remember a memory, somewhere back from 2010, I was at school, two of older boys were discussing something, one of them was planning to buy a bike, the other guy said to him, "agar pulsar ya apache me se koi nahi liya to mere samne bhi mat ana!". 😂
Defined the segment! 😎
Does it though? KTMs remain where they were - angry. Hondas remain where they've always been - neutral... so many examples!
@@motorinc First Gen KTM were lot more Agressive now they have become mid age as well (Still sporty but not as Aggresive or Dangarous as First Gen)
Keep up 👍🏼
Wow! Thank you Pradeepta! We’re over the moon!
I think bajaj is is shifting the image of pulsar from exciting fast bikes to city riding bikes. Make a video between n250 and rtr 200 4V. Great video btw... Cheers..
Can to Satyaki! Thanks for the suggestion!
In my opinion,
Fulfilling the expectations and breaking their own benchmarks are never easy with major changes with price brackets in mind, that's what bajaj did and the outcome is P150/N160.
Think Apple, KTM, Honda (global), Toyota (global)... so many!
I just love how N160 looks , except it's handle bar design. And the engine is butter smooth and gearbox is silky smooth
♥️
these reviews are like poetry, so nicely put together and presented beautifully . and my god those fonts 😍..... you guys are setting a standard way high. kudos
Thanks Vishal! Glad you're loving the MotorInc experience!
Interesting point. Question: why do you think Pulsar communication is more muddled than Apache comms?
@@motorinc Well even down in 2018-2019. It was quite clear, if you want a commuter with a sporty vibe, you will go with Pulsar 150. If you want more power go with 220.
If you have an inclination towards the KTM platform and the pure KTM experience is not what you want, go with pulsar NS or RS.
Now, new pulsars are being markated like..
Every machine is equally capable, all machines have the same new tech, built on the same new platform
Also the models are confusing, specially when it comes to P150 and N160.
Yes this makes sense. Thanks Kartik!
@@motorinc thank you !
Absolutely!
I would like to thank the entire team for publishing great content. Now, here are my key worries by far :
1. if it's a most robust and settle engine and engineering will it breaks it's own inception.
Thank you Dheeraj! Aise comments padhne par hamein phi lagta hai ke hum Sahi raaste par hain
Im 5''11 and im planning to get apache is it gonna be uncomfortable?
@@Prince-nn6ig Oh yes definitely. Your experience may vary but as far my experience goes...it is a short bike...could be because of the weird tank shape but the bike isn't made for tall peeps like us.
Although I'm very confident bout the fact that Apache is a small bike, do visit a showroom and try it out yourself.
@@praaaaannnaaaaav i took the test drive and it was fine but the test drive was like around 1 km only
Im 6'2 ..Is n160 would be comfortable for me ?
The meditative qualities of your videos are highly appreciated, especially when the rest of UA-cam is shouting hoarsely. But yet, at some level, there’s a feeling of pretentious depth, where there is none. My 2 cents.
"Pretentious Depth"? Explain please?
@@motorinc hey
I just feel that giving an apparent sense of 'depth' or 'profundity' to *_All_* content makes it look pretentious.
Shumi is the best.. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
♥️
Man! I discovered this channel today. I was missing Shumi and Karthikeya
Welcome to MotorInc! 🙏🏽
Keep making our day by posting content that's subtle yet clears every question and doubt that a consumer or an enthusiast can have. 🙏
Thank you Aman! We try!
Why is such a piece of content free 🙂
Introductory pricing 🤣
beautiful craftsmanship! (I'm talking about the video , great job Motorinc)
At this time which is better N160 or N150?? Is N150 is copy of P150?
More like headlight difference
160 definitely because of the duel channel ABS which is also first in its class
Very tricky! The P is the better bike... but no dual ABS.. so N... but the RTR160 4V is better than that!
@@motorinc its just like a kid in a candy shop 😅
Until the kid gets so confused they go get a burger instead!
@@motorinc which the kid didn't want in the first place 😲😳 _ WOW!! what a way to explain #GURU🙏
Man the camera work, the music, the host, the clips, EVERYTHING is just so good.
Also, I really am very sad to see P150 not do too well in sales. It is such a good bike.
Thank you! 🙏🏾
Make one for F250...insights given by you guys are really unique..best wishes 👍
Thanks for the suggestion!
@@motorinc Yeah make one for F250!
The editing of this video is top notch.
Thanks Pavan!
U guys make videos on 150 cc motorcycles also interesting and worth watching ..
Thank you Vaibhav! Glad you enjoyed that!
What a video!!! I don't need any other comparison videos. And, the way the host speaks is so good
I just noticed that there are no ads in this video. Thanks Shumi an Kartikey for this. 🙏🏽🙂
You're welcome 😊
@MotorInc thanks for the excellent review just booked a base P150 after a test ride, It definitely serves my purpose.
Nice nice! Congratulations Arjun!
Mature and civilised doesn't have to be boring!
Apache RTR 1604V is better in every aspect but one feature is lacking compare to N160 ie dual channel ABS. Hope TVs offer in coming days
That stupid ABS rule is the cause of all this nonsense....
@@motorinc yes sir
I wanted a sports-commuter bike. With replacing P150 with N150, bajaj really offered me no other company has offered. Yet I dream to have a sports commuter bike -4v, oil cooled, single seat in which my mom can sit but this is the best option I can get, and its a good thing I waited cause with n150 things look even better as compared to p150 imo.
Next, please make a case comparison on P150 Vs Yamaha FZ 150cc. That will be exciting.🤓
We will try!
I love this channel a little to much I never thought I feel excited for a big crossover and a commuter the passion of these hosts is simply contagious
Thanks MAK. OS! We really do enjoy driving and riding. And we do genuinely believe that everyone should be able to access a better life with their cars and motorcycles. Ergo, we must be invested fully in our videos, whether the vehicle in them is fancy or not. It is, always, someone's dream.
sir plzz apache 1604v vs n160 and 1 video for like how to have fun with bikes while taking good care off our machines
Thanks for the suggestion Kshitij!
@@motorinc sir its our nasib to have someone like you for honest guidance 😊
I am loving the way we are celebrating motors in such a peaceful way on this channel. I do have a little request for you, On your previous channel you reviewed the gixxersf250 in real rush. and I always wished for this kind of talk about that bike.
Shumi, if u are reading this, can you please ride that motorcycle on more time with peace? and we can talk about it ( you will talk and i will listen but it talking for me).
& Cheers to the new channel.
Thanks for the suggestion!
We don't need a video for that! We can help solve it right here! Do you have a list of machines you're considering?
@@motorinc Thanks. The choices are limited. Though, I have following bikes in my mind:
1. 390 Adventure (my wife doesn’t like the raised pillion seat)
2. 650 Interceptor (very heavy & seat not suitable for long rides)
3. 310 GS (service cost is high)
Shumi’s attention to detail is evident from his collection of watch loop straps😊
Ashes! Very sharp you are! And we are loving seeing you in the comments daily! 🤜🏽🤛🏽
Shumi sir there are lot of machines Mt15, ns,rs, n250, RTRs, the all Duke series some Honda products... could please make a content on this how we can choose a perfect one because your point of view mean a lot to me and it not possible for us to have the test ride of each of them.
Wow. That's a big list. Let us see how we can work this out to help you. Do you think a "best bike in every segment" kind of list would help you?
Because I have seen that before buying a bike in its segment everyone goes to watch a ownership review and that doesn't help, so all the community is asking for a content of best bikes in their segment like is the Duke 390 still the segment killer or we should save our money and go for the lesser one like 250 Duke...i think now you got my point of view
Understood! Let’s see what we can do to help. Thanks Goswami Ji!
I am binge watching your content.. so calming, sensible, decisive.. feels like shaolin school of motoring! Thank u!
Wow, thank you!
Maan this vdo is literally what I think about pulsar these days
excitement is gone wow factor gone
Thye become mature (pulsar and mature wtf)
First pulsar was revolutionary and every new after that till thye start changing stickers every year and keeping dead alive on ventilator
While other grew but never mature thye went no where and wake up all of sudden and decided we are good boys now
Thye need to bring something excitement back into market just be first of something or be the most powerful just stand out a bit obviously it'll not be jack of all trade but I'll rather have one bike wich is giving 100 in one aspect than splitting it into 10 more
Frikkin' Fantastic! What a great view of the situation Pavan! Thanks!
@@motorinc It's the choice because it's the best one, it just happens to be the newest one as well :)
Not once did you mention the horsepower and shit .
Shumi sticking to the" you don't ride the spec sheet " haha
What's the point if they're approximately the same? ❤
Thanks Shubh! Glad you liked the video! We are working out how we can present the riding tips videos most effectively
Appreciate the response. 🙏 If it is done it's going to blast on the internet for sure. First online riding school.
This review or comparison of motorinc was so smooth and mature just like the p150 that I didn't realize they it was 150cc segment comparison. Such amazing work.
Glad you liked it!
Hahaha, I wish I could, like they show in films, beam this to prospective N buyers everywhere right now; still better, play it on Giant screens outside every Bajaj Dealership. Well distilled content.
😆
Love the different take and vibe of your videos
Thank you Mourya!
@motorinc what are your opinion on N150, please do share.
First time you are very clearly telling which bike is better in a comparison 🙌🙌... Hope it continues
We will always be clear. But we've also decided that we won't make your decision for you -- we will help _you_ decide for yourself.
@@motorinc hmm🤔

My first sports bike was pulsar 180. The very first pulsar launched by bajaj with the round headlight
What a great start point!
