We just got back from a wonderful night at Hill's Logging Hut. Thank you for your video, it allowed us to plan for our adventure. My 7 year old girl now wants to stay at Haberle's on our next adventure.

What beautiful memories you’re making together☺️ I would love to do hikes like this with my kids! Do you ever worry about your safety in isolated areas being the only adult though? My girls are similar ages to yours, I would feel nervous about solo remote overnight stays/who else may come along etc..? You’ve obviously never had any issues before, but that’s just something that I feel would be on my mind.. maybe I’ve watched too many spooky movies..😆 snake bite is also something I would be concerned about. But it looks like so much fun I guess you just have to put anything like that out of your mind/be as prepared as you can.
Thank you 😊🤠 ... There's definitely always concerns. In terms of snake bite/ injury etc I'm a Registered Nurse so that I guess gives me a little more confidence in dealing with first aid 😊.. I also always carry a PLB (emergency beacon) that I can activate if there were to be a medical emergency! So I guess that also gives some peace of mind. I do often put a lot of thought into where I go with the kids and always make sure someone knows where I'm going and when we are expected back. I guess I haven't worried too much about who might come along as being remote it's a lot of effort for someone dodgy to come and get us.. I figure the dodgy people are more likely to take the easier to access option of not having to hike up a mountain etc.. but yes there is horrible people out there. I guess I look at it as you can come accross those people anywhere. They could live next door, down the street etc. We love the serenity and peace of being out in nature! We love seeing things that not many people get to! It's invigorating! If you were wanting to get into hiking with your kids you could start with more commercialised tracks... That could be a way to feel more safe starting out! Or have some adult friends come with you! Safety in numbers 😊😊

We did check out Haberles hut but yes we definitely should have taken our packs up and stayed up there! We plan on doing that next time 😊
