The Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway 30.04.22

My second visit to this railway this year and also the second time i got to see one of the Fairburns running, we start of at haverthwaite station, then a few clips of lakeside with windermere lake and a little look at the aquarium that you can also visit. i also got a few clips of the train passing through newby bridge and just a short bit away from haverthwaite.

The Fairburn tank looks good in its black livery, though somewhat cleaner than it used to be in its final days with BR!

Hi Bruce it is a very smart looking loco i now the LHR gets some stick for only running one loco at a time but one thing i dont think you can criticise them for is the way they keep there loco fleet, most locos are operational at one time and are always imauculate looking and the railway itself is always kept clean and tidy, i have seen a few pics of the fairburns in there last few years of service and like you say they look very sorry state, thanks for watching.
