Thanks, but I was talking about his level of professionalism that you talked about. His video was real helpful when compared to other popular camera review channels.
This was more than fun and entertaining (that too!), this was a great review! Whether someone agrees with your decisions or likes the camera or not, you were quick, methodical, interesting, information-packed, no-nonsense. You quickly and easily covered the basics and a bunch more. I especially liked the demos: vivid, illustrative, well placed. The venue was good for this, too. This is among the best handled reviews I've seen. Thanks for putting this together. Great job!
Wonderfully done!! Haven't had the pleasure of watching such a well done video in quite some time. Very professional, extremely informative, and quite entertaining! Thanks for all the info!
Nice entertaining straight forward review from a seriously lovely young man! So good to watch and listen to positive information without all the droning technical stuff that generally just makes my eyes glaze over :-) and also great to watch a reviewer who doesn't rely on sarcasm to get a point across ... ala the chaps on Digitalrevtv ...thanks for this review
Ive praised this guy on another of his videos, but he is establishing himself as the benchmark on youtube for camera reviews. I think hes superb the way he summarises lots of detail about cameras into small speeches so he doesnt go on too much. Im actually looking for a camera that shoots 1080p @ 60fps and also has the ability to take quality photos, seems the 3300 could be a good choice. Anything else you could recommend against the 3300 ?
Thank you so much for this video. I saw it in a Pawn shop here in Panamá for 170. It was always a dream to own a camera like this and now that I have seen this review, I can't wait to get my hands on it.
Wow, that was an amazing product review. I'm blown away. You and your team are fantastic. I just purchased my first SLR camera last week and yes, it's the NIKON D3300 (black) with an SB-700 Flash and WiFi adapter. I finally upgraded from my Pentax MX 35mm. Yes, I'm old school ;) I'm very excited about entering the world of digital photography finally and I know that I have a lot to learn. I couldn't grasp whether or not some of your great shots were from auto mode or whether you were using your manual technical proficiencies. You're obviously an expert. I assume it is a combination of both. Thank you for your great review of the camera. It is really helpful to a newbie like me. I've got a lot to learn over here in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada!!! All the best!
This was an awesome review and makes my recent purchase feel worth it! Thank you so much! Especially for stating that the "kit lenses" were worth it because a few camera snobs stated they aren't usually that good. Awesome review!
Well m more impressed by the way you reviewed it. Best way to review anything, i never got bored and ofcourse i like real life reviews. D3300 offers same image quality as d5300, not even a tiny difference in that. Great review
Fabulous video. I'm a total beginner so I'll probably watch it several more times to catch everything but even my first view was enormously helpful. I'm looking forward to checking out the rest of your stuff.
Great video!! I loved the BG music, that Chinese music... How can somebody dislike this... I was so much confused with the Nikon D3300 & Canon 1300D...
I really like the quality of this video. I'm still going to go look at other videos, but only for due diligence. This pretty much convinced me. I'm looking for best bang for the buck and I really think this camera is it.
+joyjoyoo 18-55mm is a good starting point. I've been doing a lot of landscape photography. I don't know how it works for portraits... i haven't been able to do any yet. I've had the camera now for about 2 months and i'm looking to get another lens, but only because my needs have changed slightly. I want more of a zoom lens. I still really like the 18-55mm for landscape and other wide angle shots. However, it's probably worth mentioning for anyone else. The D5300 kit for about $100 more might be a better way to go. There is one thing about the D3300 didn't know and wish i would have before i got it. It's kind of a geeky thing and doesn't matter for most people. But the CPU is ARM based and has a different API than other cameras. That matters for people who want to do firmware hacking, but it also matters for people who want to do tethered shooting. Most software (especially free software) either doesn't work well or doesn't work at all with D3300. If none of that matters to you, then this is an excellent camera and well worth it.
Lol my dad randomly got this camera today at Costco. Needless to say, I am not disappointed, the quality of the pictures is awesome! But then again this is my first ever actual camera. :P
First and foremost, great review. I'm from Edmonton so it's great seeing someone close by doing work such as this. I've been looking to find an upgrade for my Nikon D90 and your reviews have helped me a lot. Also, did anyone realize he looks like an older Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park?
I have recently just acquired the Nikon D3300, and I am impressed with it. I know it doesn't have bracketing, but my Canon Powershot SX40 HS has it, and despite trying to understand and use the bracketing feature on that camera, I still don't fully understand what it is trying to do. So, I do not really miss it on this camera. And, of course, it had all of the filters, i.e. night scene, portrait, etc., which is what this camera has too. And, I never used that feature much on the Canon. I bought this camera as a introduction into the DSLR world to be a better photographer. As I said earlier, I am impressed with what I have gotten, no gripes or complaints. I've only had it since Christmas...lol But, in conclusion, if you want the HDR, and all that other stuff, then you are going to pay for it in a different camera. It depends on your needs, your wants, and what you want to pay for in order to those things. But, for my needs and my wants I'm happy with the Nikon D3300.
You can certainly change ISO fast. On the side of the camera there is a button labeled Fn, this is a function button which can be set to do multiple things, by default it should be set to ISO settings. Just press the button and scroll the wheel to adjust the ISO, you can even see it while looking through the viewfinder.
Yes, you're right. I just tested the Fn button out on my new D3300 and it changes the ISO exactly like you said it would. I just got the camera a few days ago and I'm learning how to use my first DSLR. It's very cool. Thank you.
I could only be considered related to the Chinese if you go far enough back in history to when the first settlers from China moved to the island of Japan. And I'm only half Japanese so you must be very disappointed. Still I love Chinese culture and I really want you to like me anyways. Thanks for watching. Chris @ The Camera Store TV
I understand your comment about lack of an ISO button for anybody used to one; however, you should look into Nikon's Auto ISO feature (All Nikon DSLRs) -- basically you can set Min ISO, Max ISO 'AND' Minimum shutter speed. The camera takes care of all three aspects. So you can shoot in P or A mode and never have to worry about the shutter speed or ISO until light gets too low for the Max ISO+Min Shutter speed to be underexposing, only then would the Min Shutter drop below your set point (but it never raises ISO above your Max setting). Thanks.
Thanks for the great review.. I wish you had explained better how to use the quick white balance because I can't replicate what you did. I JUST got my D3300 today and I must say its the best camera I've ever owned. I totally love it.
For those that are looking for this DSLR and want a ISO button, at the left of the lense there's a button named Fn. Default conf, if you keep pressed that button takes you directly to ISO. Just roll to the ISO you're looking for.
wow nice video man, I like how honest you are about the camera, I own one tough, and still learning myself, and I really loved it how the way you use the camera and the results, wow you really are a pro 👍
Great review Chris but after "that being said" ...why not do a comparison video of the nikon 3300 vs the Pentax k50?..since canon hasn't released any new entry level dslr...it would be nice to see someone show how good the Pentax entry level cameras compared to the so called "popular" brand ones out there.
TheCameraStoreTV Hi, you mentioned that there was no button to control ISO or whatever, but have you tried the Fn key on the left in front? I think you can set it to ISO and simply hold it while using the scroll.
+Samuel Huang That and also he mentioned theres no option for wifi, which there is!!!!! you just need the WU adapter of course. But you can definitely transfer photos via wifi straight from the D3300
+Sven Bananas I recently acquired the 3300 and it is a good camera. It was a great price. There are things that it lacks that I could have used like tilt screen but it's minor. This video does give a good breakdown 😉
Good review. I just think you should warn better when using the 85mm 1.8 G in video. It got a little confusing in the video edition for the ones does not know about lens. PS: Sorry about my English
The level of professionalism shown in this video is too damn high.
+davincingzt Sorry about that.
Jordan @ TCSTV
+TheCameraStoreTV That's a good thing no? not like the snob at digitelrevtv
Thanks, but I was talking about his level of professionalism that you talked about. His video was real helpful when compared to other popular camera review channels.
+NeonFlash 10/10 agreed. That channel's more comedy, one which I don't appreciate, but I can see how it appeals to others. Different tastes yknw.
davincingzt Yeah I guess
What a very good camera. "That being said, I'm getting it."
9 years later & this video is still gold. The Nikon D3300 is the best entry level camera till today
This was more than fun and entertaining (that too!), this was a great review! Actually there is a button to control the ISO. It is a key named Fn, right above the button to release the Lens.
Yup you're absolutely right.
indeed!
Love this so much better than the entry level canon's where you have to go menu diving for exposure.
Wonderfully done!! Haven't had the pleasure of watching such a well done video in quite some time. Very professional, extremely informative, and quite entertaining! Thanks for all the info!
Absolutely awesome review. Perfect.
Nice entertaining straight forward review from a seriously lovely young man! Best thing about these vids is that you show the specifics on each shot. This helps me so much
I am thinking of buying this camera. This will be my first DSLR! This was really interesting and informative. Thanks!
+Eleni E I have heard really good comments about this camera! Im thinking of bying my new camera as well ! Have you bought it yet? :)
+Julia Pappa not yet. I am in the process of saving up. It seems like a really good camera though
+Andrew Sierra thanks
+Alvaro Flores great advice! Thanks Alvaro!
I just received mine love it
I swear this is the nicest review of camera I've ever watched. Maybe because of the color and the bg or just everything in this video.
Ive praised this guy on another of his videos, but he is establishing himself as the benchmark on youtube for camera reviews. almost 2 years ago this vid helped me in picking D3300... So far didn't regret .-). Best review i saw on net.
Got this camera for Christmas off my wife, now I need to learn how to use it. "That being said" earned this channel a new subscriber
By far the most helpful review for this camera I have seen. Thank you for making it concise, but very informative!
The MKBHD of camera reviews.
today i order D3300+18-105VR. This video test was last decisive point to my step, thank you!
Best review on a camera I have ever seen. Great video!!!
Thanks for the great walk through. Mine was delivered today and is waiting for me when I get home from work! Can't wait to crack into it!
By far, the best DSLR review that I understand and like as a beginner. :) Thank you sir!
Best reviews on the net! Interesting camera, I loved my D3200 when I had it. Great pictures and video guys!

THAT is a review !!! Good job Chris
best camera review ever ! super fast and super informative. thank you so much.
Amazing commentary Chris! That you can ad lib this stuff so fast and smooth is truly astonishing.
Love your reviews. One of the few good youtube channels. Keep up the work.
Thank you for this review. I am looking between the D3300 and the D5300 right now, and this showed me some interaction with this camera.
What a fun entertaining review, thanks so much, I actually bought the camera a few days, can't wait to used it. Thanks again
What a great video. Using the Chinese Cultural Event with all the different colors was an excellent choice in reviewing a camera. Well done.
This was an awesome review and makes my recent purchase feel worth it! Thank you so much! Especially for stating that the "kit lenses" were worth it because a few camera snobs stated they aren't usually that good. Awesome review!

With that said, a job well done!!! Love the detail you put into this review together and the culture; simply amazing. Thanks for sharing!
Informative and far from boring review. Thanks.
Such an amazing review. I was entertained the whole way through! Thanks!
Fabulous video. I'm a total beginner so I'll probably watch it several more times to catch everything but even my first view was enormously helpful. I'm looking forward to checking out the rest of your stuff.
probably the best review on d3300
Very, very impressive review! I am seriously critical of reviewers and I am stumped. I am speechless. Thank you.
Great video!! I loved the BG music, that Chinese music... How can somebody dislike this... I was so much confused with the Nikon D3300 & Canon 1300D...
Man! You just SOLD this camera to me! GREAT VIDEO!!
You are soo good at reviewing!
Thank you my friend for to share this fantastic video and for your sincere professionalism
I have had it for years and it is great!
Good job ! really enjoyed your review of this camera...
it looks like a solid choice for an entry DSLR...
Keep up the good work !
I really love your work in this video .
Thanks !
I really like the quality of this video. I'm still going to go look at other videos, but only for due diligence. This pretty much convinced me. I'm looking for best bang for the buck and I really think this camera is it.
Well, I bought the camera and I LOVE it!
Cheers, mate.
+fleshTH will the 18-55mm lens be enough for daily shoots?
+joyjoyoo 18-55mm is a good starting point. I've been doing a lot of landscape photography. I don't know how it works for portraits... i haven't been able to do any yet. fleshTH thanks so much! 5300 doesn't really appeal to me, haha! think i will get the 3300 and add another lens to it. 55 200mm perhaps =]
Lol my dad randomly got this camera today at Costco. Needless to say, I am not disappointed, the quality of the pictures is awesome! But then again this is my first ever actual camera. :P
The 'that being said' counter! lol!!

Bro, you just made me buy Nikon D3300, more power dude! Thanks for the big help
I love my d3300.."That being said:7"...Thanks for the review!
Very nice review. You really made me want this camera.

I have this camera (and 18-105mm, 50mm 1.8, tamron 75-300mm lenses, sb-28 flash) for 2 years. D3300 is just great gear!
Great Review.... Straight to the point... Great Job
Great video.
There is a dedicated ISO button on the left side of the lens barrel. it is marked FN and hold it and use the wheel on the back to adjust.
Just purchased this model and found this video very informative in making my choice :)
Great professional video. Keep up the good work!
Awesome review, love this camera!💜
Great review. I missed the better viewfinder if the D3300 series reviewed in the video. I love your videos!
Fantastic review! Great video.
I'm do happy I bought this camera I also live the light weight. great review!!!
I always thought Chris was Chinese.
Is Chris Chinese?
I'd like it if Chris was Chinese.
TheCameraStoreTV I knew you must have had some japanese in you... even my (Japanese) wife thought so too. Which always are awesome!
TheCameraStoreTV
That's alright, Chris. I'll always love you and your Asian ways! :D
TheCameraStoreTV suprise! u are half japanese
he looks more like a filipino than anything else
That being said... great video, very very nice review
If you hold down "Fn" and spin the adjusting dial, that is the quick slider for the ISO setting :)
real nice review....thinking of buying this one
That was great! Exactly what I needed to know

Damn! You know how to filter out garbage and speak only what is relevant ! I am subscribing to you channel right away!
Awesome shots man!
Thanks for the great review.. I wish you had explained better how to use the quick white balance because I can't replicate what you did.

great presentation style. very informative and presenter is likable. my next hong kong shopping haul will include this camera among other items.
wow nice video man, I like how honest you are about the camera, I own one tough, and still learning myself, and I really loved it how the way you use the camera and the results, wow you really are a pro 👍
with that being said great review and with that being said keep up with the awesome work..
That being said was an awesome review... :D thnx alot!!
Great review Chris, thanks.
Thank you very much. Fantastic review.
Dude, you;re awesome and you told me everything I need to know. I'm buying that camera.
I love this camera very much !
It's so refreshing to hear Chris speaking Chinese (Cantonese, actually).
"That being said" Canon may release it's new entry "SL" Rebel 6i at Cp+ Show!
Another excellent review!
Thanks for the great review! Just bought it :D
Good job, very enjoyable and informative review. Swung me to buy a D3300 myself.
amazing review thank you
There is a button for iso. It is the function button by default located on the front left of the camera body

That being said it looks like a decent entry level DSLR from Nikon!
the reason ive considered the 3300 & 5200 is because they both seem like great entry-level dslr & within my budget.
Very nice review..... Love the way you described...
You can assign the FN button on the left to ISO so you can change the ISO quickly.
The D3300 has a button to change iso, I own a D3200 and both of the cameras have a 'Fn' button on the left side near the lens that lets you change it.
This video helped me A LOT! Thank you so much!
Got the p900 nikon camera buying this tomorrow to use as a back up camera.Good review
This was a great breakdown/review, that being said.... thank you for all the info :)
+Sven Bananas I recently acquired the 3300 and it is a good camera. It was a great price. There are things that it lacks that I could have used like tilt screen but it's minor. This video does give a good breakdown 😉
+Sven Bananas congratulations and enjoy 😉
Good review. I just think you should warn better when using the 85mm 1.8 G in video. It got a little confusing in the video edition for the ones does not know about lens.
PS: Sorry about my English
