    This is so beautiful and incredible. My favorite medium is colored pencils, and I do colored pencil painting. But I find this incredibly awe-inspiring and it makes me want to do some watercolors myself. :D Can't wait for the next part!!

  • @natporto5889
    @natporto5889 7 років тому

    Hi this is really cool, my final project is also a water colour animation (kinda like stop motion) but its more abstract . This is the first good reference I found. Nice! :) Any tips/dificulties that you faced? The frame with the tree 2:05, did you animate the tree moving or used photoshop to crop and then move?

    • @SKAZKAstudios
      @SKAZKAstudios  7 років тому

      Thank you, natalia porto. Watercolor animation can be tricky but also rewarding. Just like in stop motion, I would recommend the lighting to be consistent during filming. If your camera shakes, or changes the position, I would suggest to stabilize it in After Effects - the result looks better in my opinion and doesn't distract from the animation. The tree at 2:05 was masked off in Photoshop and than the position was animated in After Effects as a 3D layer. It was not very complicated. I hope that helps. Good luck! Cheers.

    • @heythere.5899

      Hey there, this kind of illusion (can be done practically by sticking paper to multiple panes of glass which are about five or so centimetres from each other,
      [] | [] | [] |
      [] = paper
      |= glass
      but it can be done in a 3d software as well, probably try blender first cause it’s free. Hope this helped.

    • @SKAZKAstudios
      @SKAZKAstudios  3 роки тому

      Hi, this depth of field is achieved in After Effects. It's a good program for those kind of effects if you are using 2D drawings or paintings. You would need to separate your images from the background in Photoshop first. Cheers!
