Original T-Cats cartoon is so darn good. Very glad to see a character never been made in figure form before. The more “cat like” face he & Grune has is cool but I prefer Thundercats with the more human type features.
Yeah, I mean Grune and Pumm-Ra were both ultilised as villains so the thinking behind their designs was probably to make them seem more animalistic. I noticed that a lot of villains in Thundercats were made to look less like humans and more like ferocious animals or monsters. There are exceptions, like Safari Joe but despite looking like a human, they did make him look rather sinister. I know there are Thundercat allies that look like animals but not necessarily like ferocious ones. Even though Snowman is very imposing, he doesn't look like a vicious animal, just more like a powerhouse, something we associate with characters like Lion-O and Panthro. He looks like something that humans could have desended from, like an ape or caveman but with the possible addition of steroid use. We know that Monkian is an ape but he looks a lot more feral. We also see more ape-like behaviour from him which is something we don't really see from Snowman.
It's cat Jesus! I enjoyed this episode in the cartoon, and can't wait to get the figure. He won't need to go in the TCats display all the time though, as he can join the MOTU cat warrior homages in my Mythic Legions collection.

If there are delays, they should mass email their customers and inform them. For over two years we've been waiting wave 2. I get told, it will be here in January. Then January rolls around, nothing.
This is a character who despite being non-essential, looks fantastic in action figure form. I like this character and I like the episode but I think they could have come up with a better name for him. What about 'Slazenger Hope'? I actually think that this is a character who could have been interesting even if he hadn't been Mumm-Ra in disguise. It would have been good if there was a real version of this character that actually existed in the Thundercats universe. If that had been the case, they could have come back to this character in a later episode. He has a really cool design. I could see him as an actual Thunderian who is a victim of serious trauma, a tragic figure which would perhaps mean that he is somewhere in between hero and villain, maybe like an anti-hero who is also crazy and a bit of a lone ranger. He could be like a cat version of Casey Jones from the original TMNT cartoon. That's given me an idea for another name, 'Pumm-Ra Jones'. XD
I'm liking the Jack Nicholson eyebrows on the heads. Also, they did a good job on his fangs. Why didn't Jackalman get that? Different factory I suppose. I don't like Mattel anymore. They didn't give this line the respect it deserves. People complain about Super7 but it's Mattel who I have a problem with. On a more positive note, this is a very good wave.

He's kinda cool, but I'm not a fan of the soft goods robe. It makes him stick out too much from the other figures imo. Might skip this one.

Totally forgot about that figure... The matt chest vs the glossy face is a bit odd, but the cloth dress looks pretty neat.

Nice figure but it's an easy pass for me. No interest in this character.
