Recently got obsessed with this song. Wanted to find out more about the band, but they seem to be quite under the radar. I don't often use this word "underrated" but I feel they really are of the sort.
well its kinda true, I came back because I remembered them from the late 90s
They are underated
I use the word a lot, especially when it comes to Goth music

actually Old band renewed ..its the Origina guitarist brought back from the shadows to give the band life again and they did a great job

+Teresa Clara: Well, technically they aren't. Only Robert and Klas are still there from the get go, but third guitar, bass, drums, vocals is all new now - and keyboard is pretty much gone. Basically it's just the same riffs and the old logo!^^' Got to admit it though, they are pretty good. Different, but I like the sound!
However if you miss Erik he got a new band now simply called "Dark" -> facebook.com/darkbandofficial/info?tab=page_info The sound is way more similar to the 2001 run of Beseech, just a bit simpler. Well, now we have more to choose from I guess! :)

Ricardo Amorim: She founded a new band called _"The Mary Major"_ in 2009 with some ex Beseech members, put an album out in 2012 _(more hard rock than gothic/gothic-rock)_ and never heard of since than sadly! She posts sometimes stuff on facebook, that's how I found out about the band _Dark_ in first place.

There was many issues.
Beseech have been around a very long time with a fair few album's.
But due to issues with "metal blade records" they did not put out further albums until there "locked contract" expired and they where free to make music under There name again.

I just checked the original version, but I definitely like this version more... the heavy guitar, vocals, and the overall atmosphere really add a new dimension to the song. I get a melancholic feeling listening to it.

I would like to think that the video actually makes sense, so here's where my mind goes: the woman was murdered in that isolated, creepy looking building... maybe buried under the rocks outside. What this video shows is her return to that scene, reincarnated as a bird. I suppose she has vague memories of that happened there, so she explores it with both curiosity and dread.
With that said, I don't believe the lyrics are about reincarnation... but that interpretation and this video makes sense for a gothy band.
But the writer of the song has specifically mentioned that it's about reincarnation... How would you explain the entire last verse?

I was born a rebels child,,!
I will tell you super crazy, but absolutely real story how I got familiar with Beseech.
Once me and my girlfriend rented a room from some drug dealer. I was 22, she was 21, we had a baby, like 3 months old. Narcodealer was kinda friendly, we never had any problems with him, but one night he came home all wasted, garbed kitchen knife, came to our room and said "I will kill you all starting from the baby".
The reason of conflict was silly - I disagreed to take money from one of his clients when the dealer wasn't home (I didn't wanted to get involved).
But I had a gun. It was a gas-revolver but dealer didn't knew that, so when I pointed it at him and said that I will kill him, he decided "to let us go, until his friends arrive".
So me, my girlfriend our baby ran out, we left all our belongings. It was January, 2 AM, -20C, snow everywhere. I called my father and asked if he can take us for the night. He said "no way". LOL. Then my girlfriend called a friend, that friend called another friend and that friend of a friend agreed to take us for the night.
It was a bunch of metalheads. 5 long-haired dudes lived in a tiny 2-room apartment and they all agreed to take us in for that night. They gave us food, beer and a whole room. We watched Mel Gibson's Jesus movie and listened RAINBOWMAN by Beseech like 50 times.
Then we started singing it. Police came. Asked to stop singing :D
That is kinda it. It happened 17 years ago, I will never forget it.

Охуеть,откуда здесь столько русских?!Я думал,что единственный кто знает об этом коллективе,вот уж удивили.А по теме скажу следующее:сомневаюсь,что в нынешнем составе им удастся хотя бы приблизиться к тому,что Beseech создавали ранее,участие в проекте Лотты и Эрика было настоящим сокровищем-их тандем был сверхъестественно хорош!Но,все же,время покажет,а данный трэк довольно таки неплохо закаверен.

+latariel007 у этих "бездарей" между прочим уже 5 альбомов отличных песен и если они не получили гремми за них как смогли авторы песни - это вовсе не значит что их собственные песни хуже. просто оригинал чествовался во времена моды на кантри в США, а группа Бисич просто играет хороший готик метал со скандинавским звучанием своего времени - естественно с таким репертуаром на весь мир не прогремишь
