I lived in Kitchener for a yr. Not very friendly to outsiders. I'm from Oakville Ontario. Yes rent was alot less in Kitchener and food was less. Kitchener had a alot snow then Oakville. Alot of racism there. I'm white but my boyfriend was north Indian I was shocked the way they treated me. It's called the tri Cities.It was not all bad. I also spent the summers in Kitchener all my Dads side of the family are from Kitchener. I loved the mall and Tim Horton on Courtland Ave across from Food Basic.Victoria park is beautiful always something to do. The horse and buggies going up Victoria St I had seen them alot in summer I was at my cousin house. It is worth a visit.

@@canadianseyah yeah it definitely has. I miss the old Kitchener.
Place has gotten too expensive. Kitchener was nice in the 90s and early 2000s, now it's full of overpriced condos.
It's not a town we're a City.
Doesn't look like one.
I have lived here my whole life.. I would love to leave this country altogether. You don't want to move here. They are turning it into a 15 minute city
City looks sad.
Downtown is kina ugly but the rest of city is okay. It's just suburbs.
We have a bigger than normal group of people that like to destroy things and destroy people and run everything done here. It's not a lot of people like that just a bigger amount of people like this than other cities. It's the reason we have many homeless and struggling people in Kitchener. Waterloo the city next door is a little different but not much anymore becasue Kitchener people have moved there over the years and have destroyed it also. If you are a new person they will like you for a while but eventully they target you also. It used to be a nice booming place many years ago in the 80's and 90's but most of those people and families have moved from Kitchener now. Just make sure you have a really high income if you move here because everything is very unaffordable for medium/low income people and these people are targetted everywhere in Kitchener by many nasty people who live here.
