    Recent numbers for Canada in this case are very deceiving, this is because under terrible government policies Canada took in millions of people who simply cannot afford to even be in Canada (notably refugees, international students who lied about financial standing to enter into Canada, and unskilled labourers emigrating because of relaxed liberal restrictions), these people rely on government assistance to survive completely tanking the economy. Canada needs a new leader who will take care of Canada rather than everybody but Canada.

    Canadians are raised to not hate and to embrace diversity (including being taught this in all daycares/schools). People need to look at all sides. India has a 29% unemployment rate amongst it's own graduates. One of the big reasons why young people are leaving India in droves, yes? Plus less than 50% of the 950 million working-age population in India is employed (compared to over 70% in other emerging markets). Amongst the Indian working group, many are self-employed and contain “unpaid helpers in family enterprises”. India has one of the highest emigration rates in the world. As many zero in on education as a way to gain access to a western country? Did international students/families pay into Canadian taxes all their lives like domestic students have (earning cheaper tuition fees)? No. Plus Canada did NOT tell international students/parents to spend/risk their life savings on a "Canadian dream". Canada did NOT tell international students to borrow money. Canada did NOT promise international students work. Canada did NOT promise international students money. Canada did NOT promise international students Permanent Residency. Meanwhile freelance agents have been operating in an unbridled market in India. Often by painting a distorted picture of what students can achieve in/from Canada. In recent years, a new type of recruitment has cropped up via foreign nationals as many "edu-tech" have created online platforms to connect millions of potential students with the recruiters. The sub-agents have absolutely no no direct connection with the Canadian college. Plus the college has no no ability to control their conduct. Indian sham operations abused Indian students (primarily in their native language) in person &/or via massive advertising. Painting a false picture in their minds (of what Canada could or would or should offer). Canadians are seeing primarily Indians protesting & waving their flags on Canadian streets making demands. Because they may not have enough credentials to remain in Canada? And because rules designed to protect CANADA are not meeting their desires? Why isn't there crowds of African or Caribbean or Filipino etc., students making demands? They're in Canada too. And even though Canada is being falsely/unfairly blamed for too much, Canada has yet to deport students like crazy. Instead Canada is trying trying to find balance of who can stay vs go. While also trying to fix anything Canada did wrong. Create a better future. Why? Because Canadians actually care about doing so for both Canadians and international students. Canada's own youth are also victims of the above mentioned scam artists now too. Due to a severe lack of homes and severe lack of entry level jobs now partially due to international students swarming the system then fighting for PR etc., versus returning home. Including some students asking for Canadian asylum. Questions: ⦁ What is India doing about any of this? After Canada told India to halt Ghost Consulting. Plus Canada didn't have numerous PRIVATE 'diploma mills' until 40% of international students were from India. Coincidence? Mills that Canada is shutting down. ⦁ What about the IELTS spouses? Anchor babies? ⦁ What about Canadian food banks & other charity services being recklessly advertised on YT in Indian languages? ⦁ What about Canadian housing being scooped up en-mass as investment vehicles by/for internationals? Home rental/boarding signs stating "vegetarians only can apply". Often these 'landlords' also cram 20 students in a small home and charge them each way too much for rent. ⦁ What about Indian nationals buying local businesses then putting Indians only in key positions (while also changing familiar work practices)? BC & Ontario are outlawing the Caste System. ⦁ What about the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortions across Canada? Diasporas stirring up tribal hatreds (in Canada) even though it all stems from their ancestral home. Why? ⦁ What about the Canadian government launching investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections, stemming from Asia continent? Canada also had to end flagpoling at the border. Canadians are so so so not used to all this!!! Do Indians care??? Do they want to point fingers at Canada when many things weren't in Canada's control? Canadians want multi-culturism to succeed and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Now everyone I know is VERY happy with IRCC's recent changes (reductions & multifaceted investigations etc.). Including multi-generational long-term Asian Canadians MOST upset (by all of this).

    I've worked in real estate photography, marketing, video production for 3 decades, I've never been to more houses to take photos where owners share that they can't afford their home anymore, they have to choose between mortgage or food and they opted to leave the country. It's shocking. I feel gutted most days, I'd love to be in a position to help folks like that. It's undeniable that things have changed. Even my family is looking into moving. The rat race is exhausting, shouldn't have to work 7 days a week to survive. I don't know what the answer is but I don't feel at home anymore and if you'd had asked me that a few years ago I'd have said you're crazy.

It's like we lost a war with the nation of LGBTQstan, and they slapped their flags and slogans on every building, and put one of their officers in every classroom. If you're an immigrant from a non western country, how do you even respond when your kid comes home and tells you that a girl is just someone who "identifies" as a girl, or that they're non-binary, or whatever other nonsense their teacher told them that week.

    Lot of ignorant boomers here in the comments. Easy to say, "oh it's their fault for waiting in the ER shoulda gone to their family doctor!" -- Except in many areas across the country, the waitlist for a GP is YEARS long, and there are critical gaps in healthcare in every province. Easy to say "Ehhh, grass is always greener" -- Until you go an hour across the border and pay 80% LESS for groceries, even with the exchange rate. Rent in many other countries is controlled and low, here you have 15 people living in a basement in Toronto because a condo is $3000 a month. Oh, just buy a place then! Average house price is $400k++ with a bank rate of 5-6% - on $15 minimum wage? How? Oh, get an education then!!! With what money? Not everybody has family who's basement you can live in till you're 30 anymore. Not everyone has access to supports to take the time for school. Also education itself costs $20-80k. Sure, every country has problems. Every country has ups and downs, Canada has many perks. I have travelled across the country roadtripping several times (5 times end to end), but... the truth still remains, you don't pay $14 for a bag of grapes anywhere else in the world except here. There are many Indigenous communities that STILL in 2024 do not have CLEAN DRINKING WATER. This country is not affordable if you are not born rich, or did not make your money in the 90s. It just isn't.

    • @RMRealEstateProductions
      @RMRealEstateProductions Місяць тому

      @@paulburley7993 That's a terrible metric to measure anything because more people are in the poor bracket, our middle class shrank and our debt ratio is staggeringly high. The public health system is congested, more and more people going to the private sector, language issues here in Quebec where being English is becoming an issue. The new changes to capital gains taxes is demolishing investment. I've been working in the real estate world for 30 years, never in my entire career have I seen more cases of people HAVING TO sell their home cause they can't afford it anymore. PPP is what matters, doesn't matter if the middle class makes more than another nation if the cost of living is so high. You're lucky the leave the grocery store with much for $100 nowadays. It's hard to ignore those facts. You should instead look into this: "In a 2021 OECD profile of the Canadian economy, one of the authors' main takeaways was that Canada was losing its middle class relative to the rest of the developed world. Canada's share of middle income earners “has shrunk more than most others since the mid-1980s,"

    The problem with "we should take care of our own first," is that it mischaracterizes the issue and presents a false dichotomy. We have enough to support our own and take care of our current immigrants. This isn't about only having the resources to help one or the other. People care about direct and short term costs, but ignore indirect and long term costs. That's the issue. We keep cutting funding to programs for our most vulnerable that more than pay for themselves by reducing indirect and long term costs. Homelessness is a great example of this, with the costs in police and ER expenses alone due to the homeless costing double what it costs to house them. Finland almost entirely eliminated homelessness among their citizens, and they saved a staggering amount of money oing so. We are literally paying more money so that people suffer homelessness. It doesn't help that bad faith politicians say things like "we should take care of our own first" as an appeal to common sense, but they then cut funding to programs that benefit Canadians as well as those that benefit immigrants, because the reality is they don't care about either. It's just a catchphrase to keep people in the dark about the real nature of the problem, and to shift the blame away from their own policies by scapegoating immigrants.

    • @eldeluxo
      @eldeluxo Місяць тому

      It's too bad that people like you can't be charged directly for supporting our excessive volume of immigrants. Let me guess, you're "well off", own your own house (or maybe a few) which makes you a typical Trudeau supporter who is blind to the hardships of actual Canadians.

All while this funding and taxes have increased, the services all have gotten worse. Have you noticed that every time the government starts to deal with a problem they make it worse? Healthcare, housing, military, natural resources, heck, you can pick anything in Canada, because the government controls everything.

      Not necessarily, I've lived all over the place, in countries with universal healthcare, with the same luxuries as here, it's all a matter of work. In Chile for example, i spent a year there working remotely, had all the same creature comforts. Didn't miss any of it. And better climate while working from our family cottage overlooking the pacific. Have also lived in Sweden, was lovely. Lived in Arizona, no intention of living in the US anytime soon, wasn't for me. I really thought Canada would be my forever home but one can't help but notice that things are not trending as they were in 83 when we moved here. We're no longer on the upswing. Inflation is out of control, especially at the grocery store

    People think that they can all live in major urban cities, and not smaller cities, where there is no conjested medical ststem, the onis is also on the person who chose where to live.toronto os not canada. There are a lot of cities with rentals jobs hospitals. On the otherhand anyone inhappy can leave .

      Rural areas have horrible health care. Newfoundland is a great example.

      Newfoundland rated the worst province for healthcare, where as BC and ontario #1 and #2, just like everything else. I'm curious where you are from?

      @@cpaton1284 I disagree again, thats simply just not true? rural areas often have to travel to the next town, or be flown to a better hospital if anything serious.. Your saying people who think health care sucks live in Toronto, your wrong my friend, even healthcare professionals I have spoken too personally say there is a big problem wide-spread across canada so lmfao.

    Why is everyone leaving Canada? Oh my, will we be empty soon? "I went there with false promises of a better life." Agreed, much of said 'better life' depends on a persons perspective. I wouldn't want to wait in an emergency room either; it's not the place if you are just sick, as you found out. Sadly there are people arriving with injuries worse than yours, harsh inconvenience having to wait as they get treated I'm sure. And obviously they were fine, fine enough to be here complaining about it, yes? Too bad they didn't have a family doctor instead of relying on the public system :)

      3 weeks back I went to the hospital with a severe pain. I could not wait till Monday to see my doc. I was 5 min in the waiting room. They took me in, asked some questions, arranged for x-ray and ultrasound and scheduled an OR. 6 hrs after arriving I was back home minus a septic gall bladder. Money never changed hands except for the taxi. In the US, I would now be bankrupt. You couldn't pay me enough to move to the US.
