@@GolfersAuthority About 2 months now. I just got the Spornia net system and it is amazing. I mounted a 55" TV to the wall just in front of my swing area and this works really well. Plus I did some new flooring in my home and had a large 8'X10' piece of green carpet I put under the hitting net. Everything is now softened and the balls return straight out of the net back onto my Motivo hitting mat. I'm really enjoying hitting a few hundred balls three times a week especially since we are in snow country!

Thanks for the video. My R10 will be here this week and I'll be using this info and downloading the awesome golf app. I've watched several videos and it seems that correct setup is crucial, from a level unit at the correct height and distances from the tee to the R10. That said, I have yet to see one UA-cam video that shows anyone using a tape measure to get an accurate distance to the tee. Everyone is pacing it out.

And in the winter we olay in the garage with the r10 and the numbers are almost identical. Someone commented on the accuracy of the 50k sim. When using your driver, the 50k one showed distances of >280 yds with club speed of 20 yds with a spin around 2500 whereas the garmin R10 had a roll of only 10 yds, I think the R10's result was more plausible. I'd say repeat the test with a better simulator as a baseline. Maybe the sim you used was not calibrated or not set up well as often occurs in a lot of commercial simulator rooms.

Rapsodo is good and the Garmin R10 good too. There is also the Swing Caddie SC300i. It is more of the dark horse, it is super accurate indoors and outdoors. However the app is not the best.

At 4:56 in this video when he hits his driver, his 50K simulator shows a smash factor of 1.99. This is utterly impossible, meaning the garmin r10 may not be so bad. I have the garmin r10 and have hit it alongside a trackman. The R10 measures club speed, ball speed, launch angle, and launch direction. It calculates everything else based on those 4 parameters. When I use my machine, I use it predominantly outside at a driving range. My spin is always a bit off, (especially with range balls) but the carry distance is normally pretty spot on. In my opinion, the only simulator that is meant to gather correct data inside is the GC Quad. Even trackman was created to be used outside.

I built my sim screen in the garage. I bought the r10. Once all was ready to play with my 500 dollar mat and 500 dollar screen. I super excited to hit my first shot. I hit my wedge. First shot showed 60 carry. My average carry on course is 95 yds. Swinging harder gave similar results. So I went through all the steps again to ensure the device was set up correctly . It was. So a call to GARMIN to find any advice to help. They were great by the way. Turns out I have a large metal toolbox and a metal storage cabinet near the hitting screen on the side wall. Turns out unbeknownst to me this interferes with the r10 radar signal. So I’m stuck with it. Cause I didn’t do my homework well enough. Maybe this will help others to double check the surroundings before building their sim where there is unmovable metal objects.

I think the $50k sim has serious issues. How do you get a 288 yard drive with 80.1 mph club speed? And a 1.99 smash? Yikes, I'd be looking for a large refund. I have to believe your club speed is more accurate in the r10 and I bet the smash factor was closer to 1.5. I've been using the r10 for a few months now and I couldn't be more pleased considering the money I spent vs what I could've spent. Additionally, I don't believe any launch monitor will be able to provide pin point accurate distance measurements. 1st want to thank you for the video. I've owned an r10 for over a year and use it frequently, but outside into a net. I wrote down all the info for each shot. The 7i shots CS/BS/CARRY we're all relatively close. Launch and spin we're way off. 9i carry and spin were close but CS/BS/LA we're all off. Driver was actually bad. Only the carry was anywhere close. CS/BS/LA/SPIN were all WAY off. I don't want to put all that on the r10 tho because the high dollar unit was obviously giving bad info. No one has smash of 1.99 or 1.66 for driver since 1.5 is considered perfect. My suggestion for anyone that owns one and uses it indoors or into a net would be take it to a range, preferably a trackman range if you have access and get your club #s. Then take it home and compare. The r10 is known to be more accurate outside. Then you can use the gamin app elevation and weather sliders to get as close as you can to your outside #s. I love mine even tho I know it's not perfect. It can be a great learning tool and sim golf in the backyard or inside is a lot of fun. Good luck everyone.

Cool video & Zero knock against you. My experience is the people with all the gadgets on the driving range are Ranger Ricks competing for Driving Range trophies where you beat the brakes off their Azz on the track. 🤣 🤣 Sunday 8-6-23 guy on the range was using the "Voice Caddie Sc300i" where he had all the buzz & had the range like wow. I was noticing his alignment saying yeah but are you trying to hit it there to myself? Sure as 💩 I got paired with his azz & my old rusty golf playing azz that crappie fishes more than plays golf now shot 79 & that Sum Batch named Roger playing Woodbridge Golf Course shot a 87 taking bad drops & should be a spokesman for 3 Putt Golf. 😆😄🤣 I enjoyed dragging his azz. No gadgets on the planet can replace actually doing and playing time for any sport or activity. Only actually doing it does that. Best to you all. My next target is a R-10 user that is on the range that hits the ball vs has a Golf Swing. The "Golf Swing" people can play and have single to low digits. Don't be afraid to challenge anyone that hits the golf ball. They will normally be Double Digit to Bogie Golfers. 👍 Beat da Break Off Their Tailbones.. 🤣

Unfortunately accuracy is not only distance. It’s dispersion or left to right. The Garmin R10 is not good at dispersion. No where near ‘100% accurate’…..

Umm, suggest you check your smash factors - 1.66 and 1.99? Something not right there. #illegal #calibrate

So your solution is to use 400$ software that doesn’t have a data export feature…….

    the grand assumption...
The more expensive unit is getting it right, precisely right.

Exactly. Do you have R10? If so what have you found. If not, are you currently using a launch monitor?
