I know it sounds weird but, this is the first video that shows me how bright and beautiful that screen truly is. Someone holding it up in a well lit studio and bright background, I think you’d normally see the old steam deck be overtaken and washed out in that scenario.

@MANISHxyz. A good rule of thumb: if it was made before 2019-2020, I think the steam deck can probably run it flawlessly. Newer games might either not be able to run (like, brand new stuff) or can run with lots of adjustments to the settings. It's a mini computer though so it could run 95% of what I play.

I just bought the switch oled last month. As a casual, I just enjoy gaming on a great display. Also zelda. Two factors that drove me away from the steam deck is its battery and lcd display. And when this came out, the entire breath that I sighed could fill up an entire balloon, damn.
Eh just carry battery pack, I take my steam deck to work and other place. Mostly play at home the battery last pretty long even with high games like arne core 6, star field, cyber punk etc that I played so fair recently
The battery life and price is what lets it down mostly, the screen is just like the switch so nothing there, but the fact the steam deck is only meant for personal use mostly unless you buy the extra stuff which the switch beats it at in terms of price and sharing. I still would prefer the switch over the steam deck. And tbh the steam deck looks uncomfortable for me to hold

@@Jontexperia I think i had Fsr 2.0 on quality settings with lower graphical settings and it looked decent. I might have raised certain settings like textures higher tho. I cant fully remember the settings but i know i had it looking decent and at a pretty locked 30 fps at 8 watts. Just tinker with the settings abit until it's good for you. If i can get it to work at 8 watts then you should be able to as well even if you have to increase wattage a bit more.
There is another cool steam deck feature. Called SBC XQ basically it increases the bitrate for every headphone that only comes with the SBC codec ( which is every headphone ). And brings it on paar or even better than aptx
The finger protector thing was the first guitar accessory I bought (for my fretting hand) and without any guitar knowledge at all I knew damn well they were dogshit. I also had skinny fingers so they really didnt fit right and always gave me a buzz. I instead decided I would use them for my strumming hand but they were terrible even for that.
I see a lot of haters but honestly, I didn't even know about the smaller pouch or many of these features but learned thanks to this popping up in my feed. Thanks for the tips :)

So, I legit didn't know about the case coming apart. So, I suppose that's cool. However, even with the thinner case, I just went with the jsaux case. It's hard, it holds the charger when I travel, and is thin.
fully compatible with 0 issues will take a while, but afaik almost 50% of the steam library is at least in the playable state and keep in mind that some games listed as unsupported can actually still run on deck, like any vr game
pretty sure valve told reviewers that only like 85 or 75% brightness gets 1000 nits. any higher is digital gain i.e. compressed color range for what appears like a brighter image. don't use 100% for image quality, use it to see in the sun

Yes, but it does allow you to go up to 1000 nits, which you can’t do without HDR on the Steam Deck
In SDR mode it wouldn’t be able to hit 1000nits of peak brightness.
SDR peak is 600 nit hdr is 1000 nit.

Not true. I got the game running at 30ps at 8 watts. Since it's turn based you dont need high fps and it still looks great.
Sure average is around 30-35 but it spikes regularly and FSR unless on Ultra Quality makes the game look horrible, at least for me
