10:27 The moment where Happyness says "It's ok, we need this" really show the audience how much she has grown. I mean remember the first movie? She just saws the bad in Sadness, and trys to keep her away atr all cost. Like many people do. Not realizing, yes sometimes tears are needed. We have this function for a reason.
Happyness? Do you mean "Project Happyness" By the CIA Where selected people in Cedar Rapids, Iowa were unbeknownst to them, brainswashed to think that their parents were dead and isolated them from their parents and then after around 5 years would bring their parents to them and they died due to Happyness after the CIA altered their brain structure to overload Happyness in them to make their brains fry themselves?
It’s funny you post this again. Because I was talking to one of my coworkers, and she starts talking about how her extended family cousin started working for Lucas film. And then eventually he worked his way up and became the director Kelsey Mann. Blew my mind lmao
Inside out is the most creative franchise i've ever seen. Second movie is absolutely masterpiece and i wish we got third movie because both movies are so emotional. In my life i cry two times on movies, both times on Inside Out 1 and 2. Such a masterpiece, ABSOLUTELY CINEMA!
Something i love about this sequel is Riley's new older design, it's something i was missing from most sequels, cause usually the main characters dont change to much between movies (Cars for example)
I feel like the only real reason why this movie works while other sequels don't is because inside out 2 has an actual reason for existing. Moana 2, frozen 2, every single Toy Story after 3, wreck it Ralph 2, zootopia 2, none of them really had a reason to exist outside of "studio execs want money" Inside out 2 makes complete sense because the first movie takes place with Riley being a child so yeah obviously having her as a teen is going to add a lot of change to the world that makes complete sense. And dream production having her as that in between phase was great too. Inside out is such a big concept that you could find original scripts for every stage of Riley's life just because of how complex the human mind is
I think zootopia 2 exists for a reason. It has been in the works for years before Disney started losing money and the people who made the first film are working on it. I feel that it will be a very good film that they have worked hard on 👍
my psychology class were taken to see this movie when it first released, i remember that everyone in my class was crying by the end, and as teenagers we could all relate to ryley on a very personal level. i wish we had spent more class time after the fact just analysing the whole movie, analysing ryleys thoughts and the accuracy of her anxiety attack. i wouldve loved to do an assignment about it. but unfortunately our assignments are usually scientific reports so it wouldnt have worked :(
The only thing that could have made this movie better would have been if Riley didn't get what she wanted in the end. If there had been more consequences. Because yes anxiety is often out of control but there can be consequences for our actions without them making us a bad person.
These New Emotions are a bit of a Diverse casting voice like: Anxiety is American Envy is African American Ennui is French And Embarrassment is Asian American Which is a some good choices except the new actors for Disgust and Fear.
Of course they are, I really loved Ennui's voice! And I agree what you said to Fear, even Tony Hale was perfect for Fear's new voice actor, I still prefer Bill Hader as the voice actor of Fear.
It would be cool if they added instinct as an emotion because in shows and stuff it’s a common trope that characters always say they can feel there instinct telling them to do something
I love this movie more than words can describe. I don't care that the plot is similar to the first one. (I do care about the allegations of Disney/Pixar mistreating and firing workers so they wouldn't get the bonus because this movie made all the money) As a psych student who's studying to become a therapist, this movie is a masterclass in accurately depicting the highs and lows of adolescence psychology which was a class I was taking when I saw this movie. Every time I thought this movie was going to do something disappointing and cliche with the teen experience, it refreshingly did instead the opposite thing I wanted it to do. Delivering a mature, well researched story that is perfect for all ages (especially teens and adults) and I genuinely think it will help a lot of people deal with anxiety and create some great dinner table discussions anong families where they can talk openly about anxiety and peer issues where they may have not had the words and understanding to before. I certainly wish I had this movie as a kid because I felt like I was alone in feeling the way that I did. Also bi Riley confirmed even though Pixar did its best to try to excise any queer themes and failed miserably 😂
Dazz 99% of the anime RPG prettyboys actually do have long hair, and a lot of them are basically whatever color. The one in this movie was mostly like Cloud, but mixed in some other characters as well.
i remember hugging my girlfriend crying at the klimax of this movie in the theater. It just hit so close to home because i was (still am) going through a very difficult time in my life at that point. Trying to stay in a college thats skillset were really high, staying up at night and ignoring therapy appointments because of studying and all that ontop of the divorce of my parents with my mom taking me and my sisters to run away from my dad overnight. It was really moving and in my opinion inside out is the best most well written dreamworks movie franchise out there. Yes i know shrek is also very funny and has the early 2000s nostalgia factor. But inside out captures the feelings of growing up so well in both 1 and 2. GOD i cant wait until the next movie comes out. Maybe dreamworks can make the target audience more coresponding to how old riley in the movie is. Because i remember my little sister who is 9 years old at the moment watching this and not understanding very well because she hasnt gone through this experience yet. Meanwhile i was seeing myself within riley and sobbing my eyes out while my girlfriend (who took me to see the movie i love you so much babe) was comforting her sobbing partner while also shedding a tear or two probably. Idk i was kind of too immersed into the movie plot to notice. But overall great movie. 11/10. Did what i expected it to do and so much better. Inside out is probably the best movie for sequels that make sense and dont feel like just making it for the sense of money. Creating new problems even though the last movie wrapped them up nicely already. Cant wait for inside out 3 where they can maybe focus on the transition from teenager to young adult. New emotions dont have to be introduced. But honestly. I really WISH that dreamworks had the guts to include Riley discovering her sexuality maybe because it could be a very interesting narritive. And if they do that you bet i will be crying in the theater yet again because of relateability. That shame of discovering something about yourself you might see as strange and wanting to hide it. Until you finally learn to be ok with who you are. Maybe even build in a homophobic parents plotline or something. I would honestly love it if they did some kind of plot of showing how the expectations and opinions of a developing childs parents affects their way of thinking. The caution of not saying anything wrong that might dissapoint them or upset them. And the realisation of the parents when they find out they pushed their child too hard. And also NOT making fun of a childs moodyness and also helping the parents in the theater understand their teenage emotional son/daughter/child more. Oh god i have too many ideas. Also i just noticed the wall of text. I will stop yapping now. summary: Movie good. Made me sob
My mum works landscaping fer the Pixar Campus and we went and saw it early. It was my mum, brother, gf, and I and after we saw it I mentioned how the ending prolly would have been better if Riley didn’t make the team.
20:33 I’m pretty sure he’s specifically a Mickey Mouse stand-in, since he very much mimics the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show. The main reason I think that is because Pouchy acts almost exactly like Toodles
tbh i was thinking that maybe the deep dark secret would be something relating to Riley getting her period, because i know theres a lot of teen AFAB's, including myself, who kept it a secret when they first got it until it couldn't be contained no longer for whatever reason. Kinda disappointed they didn't tbh.
I don’t think I’ve ever been this early for a video. But you’re right, it’s an amazing movie, the production was rough and despite all that they came out with something worth while, something I believe we all have experienced.
4:53 Ive never seen the movie, and Im personally of the belief that they hadnt come up with these characters when they wrote the first one (I also just considered the possibility that they hadnt originally planned the second movie at all). A justistification that wouldnt feel entirely unnatural is that these new emotions dont stick usually stick around forever, mostly becoming embodued during period of high hormonal stress. So for neurotypical individuals theyd essentially fade back into the usual mind functions after awhile (perhaps leaving a permanent change to the Command Center), but with Neurodiverse individuals one or more of them stick around (I see you my fello GAD havers) permanently.
10:00 They wouldn't be able to have ... I think anything we see in character's minds if they do follow human technology. Although a Victorian person's brain based on waterwheels and mills is a fun image.
Lol Anxienty has a female Voice in the original Audio... Wird, I watched the movie with german dub and he sounded like a 12 year old boy there... I think both can fit. he is just an emotion at the end.
resposting with a rage bait title, can you like atleast put good title for once?? this is too clickbaity, it could be "THE BEST THING I'VE WATCHED FROM PIXAR IN RECENT YEARS" instead of "not so terrible bla bla bla"
Turns out UA-cam's copyright system has tightened it's grip, so this review has been in limbo for a few days. But it's come out the other end!
Don’t worry it’s just been in UA-cam subconscious for a while
Wait! Did I see this video before?
I thought I was losing my mind for a second
Man, if a crack forms every time I use sarcasm my brain must look like a chopped up onion.
My brain must look like swiss cheese then.
Same here XD

SHE’S JOY, NOT HAPPYNESS
Happyness?

@@Max_Toons Sorry, I only watched it in german, so it is sometimes a riddle what the english name is :D
It was Strange that the Coach DIDN’T Notice Riley having an Anxiety Attack thou?!
As someone who has had anxiety attacks in public before. You'd be surprised how few people notice.
The coach has to juggle a lot of players at once, so I don’t really blame her
just imagining the triple-dent gum memory being added to the beliefs turning Riley into the stereotypical hyperconsumer
Fun fact: the deep dark secret is voiced by steve purcell, the man responsible for the sam and max franchise :D
It’s funny you post this again. Because I was talking to one of my coworkers, and she starts talking about how her extended family cousin started working for Lucas film. And then eventually he worked his way up and became the director Kelsey Mann. Blew my mind lmao
Like no joke I went on break 2 mins ago and we just got done talking lmfao
Wait so her extended family cousin is Kelsey Mann??????
I swear to Jesus Christ, I seen this video before.

@Wtfisulookin10yes! Pixar is good at sequels and being creative!
Something i love about this sequel is Riley's new older design, it's something i was missing from most sequels, cause usually the main characters dont change to much between movies (Cars for example)

I kind of want to see prehistoric Inside Out now and how the emotions literally evolved.
my psychology class were taken to see this movie when it first released, i remember that everyone in my class was crying by the end, and as teenagers we could all relate to ryley on a very personal level. i wish we had spent more class time after the fact just analysing the whole movie, analysing ryleys thoughts and the accuracy of her anxiety attack. i wouldve loved to do an assignment about it. but unfortunately our assignments are usually scientific reports so it wouldnt have worked :(
Riley*
@50Steaks68 there are so many spellings of that name it gets me confused
@RubitheRacoon just be glad it’s not Ryleigh 😂😂
@50Steaks68 oh my God...

I was hoping that the deep dark secret was gonna be that Riley has a crush on Val
Welp, Disney is gonna by less gay from now on because of Lightyear, (which DIDN'T fail for being gay)
12:42 Of course we met someone like him in the real world. He is supposed to represent Embarrassment, itself.
These New Emotions are a bit of a Diverse casting voice like:

anxiety really is a masterpiece of a character and i don't think i'll ever relate to anything as much as i relate to her

My number one most favorite pixar movie is inside out and inside out 2 is my third favorite 😍 ❤️ 💕 💗 💓 ♥️
I have never hated a character from animated movie more than anxiety

when I saw the trailer, I was like "envy? that ain't an emotion. that's a deadly sin right there"
ok
Well I would say most of our sins are technically emotions that we feel at times

am i seeing things?

Nah the movie was cash grab like Incredible 2 and Disney fired the employees who on cash grab film and they made a terrible spin off show
This movie was a very solid sequel. Very well made and the story speaks for it self.
@ nah is a copy paste of the first movie with more marketable plushies
Ok lol
