I eventually had a desk job with all the other younger engineers who worked out all the time. One coworker had an adjustable grip. I could do the max, about 150, with my dominate hand no sweat. Almost could do it with my non-dominant. None of the gym bros could do it. I'd always crank up the resistance to max to mess with my buddy. He hated it being maxed out. Said he wanted to work out his grip on a more manageable setting. Lol
I have a theory, that this isn't only about strength that it's about where your hand is when trying to close it. Like say hypothetically your hand is at the bottom I think that it might come closer to closing rather than if your hand was at the top of the handle.
The spring belongs away from your thumb ... .. your index finger is stronger than your pinky finger so you have better leverage if you place the spring coil away from your thumb.

Swing your arm down very quickly and at the same time squeeze with all your might, the tension from swinging and squeezing makes your muscles go 100% making it NEARLY possible to close it, I think.
I'm pretty sure that's a COC 2 gripper. That's definitely one that almost all people won't close if they don't have experience working with their grip and hands.

I've given my #1 to hardcore bodybuilders/powerlifters who could deadlift 400lb and most of them weren't able to close it. even most professional armwrestlers and rock climbers struggled with #2. idk where you work but either your workplace guys have way stronger than average grip (e.g. construction workers) or your gripper is calibrated incorrectly

I know I shouldn't say this, but the fact I can close number 2 as a 17 year old makes me happy (obvs I have been using the grippers that's why and I know they haven't been and if they did we'd be the same).
I train my grip strength almost everyday with these types of grippers and I can do sets of 45 with 88kg, so I'd say I'd have a very decent shot at this challenge :))
I'd just put it in between my knees and squeeze, didn't say how I was allowed to close it But if I had to use my hands, I have a feeling I could do it, I do a lot of mountainbiking, some powerlifting and some bouldering on the side, from the normal cheaper grippers I've not met one yet thst can actually challenge me enough, but this one seems like a propper special one, so my grip is trained but not perfect so it could go any way.

It's the position in the hand , they all put it too down in the palm , it's harder to try put force closer to the tip , also I think it's some 20kg of force maybe

You can see the largest database of gripper ratings at cannonpowerworks - over 13000 grippers rated. It is possible to have a HG250 that is easier than a #2 since the variation is pretty wide.

I've never touched a Heavy Grips 250 but I looked it up at cannonpowerworks and they average 114, the CoC #2 averages 104... so they are fairly close but the HG250 is likely to be a little harder. Do hammer curls, wrist curls both ways, reverse curls, and pronation and supination using kettlebells for wrist strength if you want to.

Trick is the grip if u grip near the bottom its surprisingly easy
