I'm almost 30 and I live by this everyday. I provide for my family but I don't care if I'm the best in my workplace, the smartest, drive a nice car or live in a mansion.
I live to be a child of mercy and grace who blesses the Lord unapologetically no matter what life throws at me.

This was one of the songs played at my teacher Retirement Reception after 34 years of teaching. Makes me tear up every time I hear it.
Why is she so underrated in the Christian music world or am I just not hearing about her myself . Found her through veggie tales believe it or not in sweet pea beauty at the ending music. I put her right up there with Natalie Grant . Very blessed musically.
Her songs go straight to the heart, they honour Jesus, and she is humble
when you are a Christian artist..it's not about ratings or popularity. Her fan base is in heaven.

My daughter ms Meagen 26, years old who always said that this was her favorite song & how she wanted to be remembered as!! So very unfortunately she lost her battle with addiction!! September the 5th of 2020.... as she overdosed on fentanyl!! She went with me when she was younger to several women’s of Grace conference’s!! And at one of the Women Of Grace conference’s you ms Nicole was a guest of theirs!! And my daughter knew then that she wanted to leave an amazing legacy when she departed this world!! Thank you & your music so much for always being such an inspiration to my daughter!!
I’m so very sorry for your tremendous loss. This has always been an old favorite of mine. I think your daughter left her mark, as I will remember her when I hear this song. ❤

Nichole Nordeman is a false prophet and divider. She bashes Trump but then fakes/feigns a moral high ground when people bash Biden with legitimate complaints. Nichole never denounced the evils of murdering millions of defenseless babies but she then pretends like not letting people break the law and come here illegally, somehow makes us monsters. She acts like the capital building thing was a “violent terrorist attack”, yet the only person who was killed was a white woman named Ashley Babbitt who was killed by a liberal DC cop. Nichole Nordeman is so twisted and fake that it’s horrifying
I've heard it said a number of times, "Nobody wrote songs like Rich Mullins." I've come to think that about Nichole. I'm not sure I know of anyone who turns a phrase and connects it with the beauty of a tune and of extraordinarily sympathetic vocal the way she does. Just wonderful.

@@charlesg7926 I'm afraid I've discovered you're pretty correct since 5 years ago. And I think a lot of the gifted and smart have this problem - wrecking their own Christian worldview because of what's politically expedient or culturally admired. I hate it every time I encounter it, whether in my own church or in the broader Christian world. It's tragic.
My 11 year old today asked what legacy meant and she got an earful of this song!

It's been years since I thought about listening to Christian Music. I had a moment of things from my past echoing in my brain reflected by knowing that the decision to serve God & live eternally is still mine as long I'm alive. I'm a musician so music usually follows my deepest thoughts in short order. This song, that I haven't heard in several years came to mind. I've been listening to it every day since & crying without explanation as if my soul is crying out for God's help to break free.
I sang this at my father's memorial service. It summed him up perfectly. Thank you for your gift of music and heartfelt words. You touch so many.
She's has to be one of the most original voices I've ever heard in all of music. Everything thing about her voice unique to her.

It's so easy to get swept into the river of "who's who" and who's don't what, or who has what. May God help all His beloved children to seek His face, His pleasure and for His name to be exalted.
Almost everyone of her albums have walked me through seasons of my life.. She's my top favorite Artist and Lyricist.. Her songs are real, and anointed.. A mark of someone who walks with God amd searches the deep things of God.. ❤

The vibrato in her voice is so perfect...part of the whole package that convicts me & makes me cry like a baby every time I hear it. Life is so often such a drag. Replaying those first few highs that take us back to the most meaningful people, places & times is what makes us happy enough to push on, I think. The reward of knowing that God gives us a chance to live eternally even though we're lost keeps the hope alive.
This Christian song was used as Theme song on our National Youth Camp in the Philippines! God bless!

@Nichole Nordeman At least since I've been a fan since 2000. I remember driving across country with my future wife to the Cornerstone music festival in 2000 and rocking "Wide Eyed" and "This Mystery" the whole way. "Legacy" is one of my favorites.
