It really is like being in a department store in 1971 as a kid shopping with your parents. It's weird how the things you take for granted end up having more meaning later in life. Nice music, thanks.
Takes me back to 60-70’s Southern California while shopping at Albertsons, Safeway and Alpha Beta. So sad they discontinued this escape music. Thanks to Fardemark, whenever I wish to stroll down the nostalgia isles at Kroger, I just put in the buds and smash the play button. Thanks for your time and effort on this channel, the memories make me feel young again.
Wonderful music...Dreaming to walk around my town,free...with this melodies and my earphones, meeting happy people in the streets...without masks, crowded pubs, without the nightmare of the damn Covid...I can only close my eyes and dream...in this Saturday night in quarantine... Same here. I've made bookmarks in my PC for UA-cam albums and videos, with titles like Easy, Space Age, Elevator Music, Mood/Bg, and also Exotica like Martin Denny and Les Baxter.
Your channel's intro here-- it takes me back to the 1970's when I was a little boy. Turning the television dial ... maybe to 11 or 4 or 9 or 7 or 5, back in Long Island, NY. After school I'd sometimes tune in to "The 4;30 Movie" on WABC if they were showing a delicious thriller like The Abominable Dr. Phibes, or a science fiction treat like Planet of the Apes. Nice memories.
Love this channel! Thank you. I've turned my team onto it at work. There's a delicious, subversive quality to be had with this on in the back ground as we ship and copy at FedEx Office.
I just love your channel so much and your stereo setups and seaberg reel to reels and everything is just so heartwarming and earsoothing and I absolutely love it! Your intro was fantastic and so creative! Thank you so much! 🎶 I wish I could come to your house and sit and look at all of your equipment and listen, nostalgically, to the best years of my life while growing up💜
Wow, you have some cool stuff on your channel. What is the name of the song at @, sounds really cool? I like this type of music. Also were the specially made 16 RPM records, for grocery stores and and other commercial establishments?
these records were used in places like hotel lobby's stores and factories. The Mood music labels were used for hotels and dining halls. The Basic series was used pretty much at all other locations except factories which used the Industrial Labels. If you are interested I have a duplicate of one of my records I am planning on selling on etsy I can link you to the listing when I put it up for sale It will be about $20 when I list it. Let me know if you would be interested. Also unfortunately I do not know many of the tracks on these records that are not covers since documentation for these records is nearly impossible to locate.
I like your little home-made intros dude. They're kinda groovy you know? Well done. (Also dig your home entertainment center - a stoner's dream! Not that I would know anything about that lol).
Attention, K-Mart shoppers! There is a Blue Light Special in sporting goods! Stock up on ammunition today with our half off special on Winchester 30-30 and 30-ought-six rounds!
how did you find a way to connect your laptop/phone to your portable Sony tv? Cause all ik is that it might have to do with the coaxial cable, but thats it really
My question is why do the stores not play this anymore? Walmart would be a more pleasent place to shop if they were playing relaxing music as opposed to the soft rock they play now.
They probably don't play these in stores anymore because the people overseeing it couldn't relate to these sounds.......in THIS day and age. They're more than likely programmed to know and except a mindset of Rap narratives, which have NOTHING to do with melodies........such as these. Unfortunate, but I believe true.

I sometimes sleep and take naps listening to these videos. It's a pleasure that these exist; thanks a million! 😉
I do the same as well. So calming and relaxing and no words which makes me think less. Easier for my to shut my mind off.
